technically Yelan can fit on every Xq's team. the only difference is Xq better supporting melee dps while using Yelan is more comfortable when supporting range dps bc you're not loosing any buffs (Xq's hydro swords).

Hydro has the best elemental reaction compare to other transformation elemen and that makes hydro op. It's balanced that the resonance sucks. If the resonance is also op then hydro become more and more op

Second, hydro units are good supports and you rarely put two hydro characters in the same team so you don't even have hydro resonance that often. I feel like they should change it as "+30% healing received" is bs as it does not even increase any Stats. In my opinion change it to this: "+15% max hp and +15% healing bonus" That seems like a good change given hydro characters have often hp scaling nature as of now and healing bonus is at least useable by Kokomi.
One of the big difference Yelan has from Xingqui is the damage buff she gives your team. It should be emphasized more since on a rotation where you're main carry/dps goes on field last (which most comps use). The damage buff is massive and can be comparable to Mona's ult. It's also universal and can enhance physical, geo, anemo and the upcoming dendro elements. Not just the main four.
right, not many poeple are talking about that and that is the most interesting part of her kit (like Kazuha's elemental dmg bonus passive, he's amazing because of that and I think they wanted to do something similar with Yelan too).

As someone who finds Xingqiu's playstyle mind-numbingly boring, I am so happy with how fun Yelan is. She requires more work to fulfill the same job as her hydro application is weaker, but boy does she make up for it with engaging gameplay.

I guess I used up all my luck for upcoming year pulling for Yelan: Got her early (pull #43), won 50:50 and got two copies of her in the same 10-pull. Even though I still need to level her up, I'm already one pretty happy gamer.
@@kwinkurinagunday5747 for a Yelan c0 i think she works more as a sub dps rather than main dps. I use her for her burst and since Yelan has high burst cost, Favonius warbow helps a lot with the energy recharge.
I won the coin flip and brought home Yelan! I 6/9/9'd her and wow, she's impressive. Her damage output is great and she's super fun to use. Her skill is amazing. EDIT: Why does everyone hate Xingqiu? He's an absolute boss.
Everyone does not hate XQ. The comparison between her and XQ is because XQ only loses to her in raw dmg. But beats her in everything else (DMG interruption, Energy generation and ICD for vapes)
We have been using Xingqiu for her role for a year and a half it's about dam time we had a waifu to fill that role while Xingqiu still has his use and they work amazing together she's my new go to for his role. Maybe not on Hu Tao though because of how they interact.
Honestly, I've only seen hate get targeted towards Yelan instead of Xingqiu. Idk it seems like people don't want to admit that she can overpower him. You shouldn't feel pressured to get Yelan if you have C6 Xingqiu (or just a well-built Xingqiu), but there's no reason to try to convince everyone that she's worse when she isn't.
Immediately pulled for her when she just got released, I often regret doing this especially when it turns out that I don't like their kit but Yelan is pretty different, She works really well with my Raiden National comp better than my Xingqiu. It's a sidegrade for me, I lost defensive support of Xingqiu inturn for more DMG from Yelan
yelan gives such an old school detective theme that i knew i just needed to get her, once i did get her i was quite confused on building her so this helped tysm
They won't.. Unless they plan to also release a 5* (hyper)carry that scales off hp because unlike Itto and Raiden, who both have a simp 4*, Yelan is mostly an off field support. A Yelan HP buffer simp really sounds like a overall dmg loss.
I've been using her ever since. Her playstyle is so fun! Her charged attack is useful, like a bit of Ganyu. I got Elegy for the End during the 3.1 banner and I just triple-crowned her!
Something worth mentioning is that at C0 Yelan applies as much hydro as a C0 Xingqiu but less hydro than a C6 Xingqiu (she applies 1U of hydro every coordinated atyack at C0 and C6 Xingqiu applies 1 too except on the last attack in which he appliez 2U of hydro) so she is definitely an improvement if you don't have him at C6 and need more damage than survability (Xingqiu provides more defensive support), however if you do have C6 Xingqiu then she is still better in terms of damage but falls slightly behind on hydro application which might mess with reactions, so to fix this i'd recommend either running her and Xingqiu together or just avoid using characters that apply a lot of their element off field, however, you no longer need to work around it if you get C2, with that constellation i would say that yea, she is better than Xingqiu as that solves the hydro application problem as her burst fires off another hydro arrow when doing coordinated attacks. I think this is wirth considering if you want to either exclusively play her at C0 or don't mind going for constellations in which case C2 is a good one.
I'm super excited to pull for Yelan, but I'm waiting until after a final exam next Monday so I don't get distracted RIP. Im interested to see how she works with Yanfei: the "adapt with ease" damage bonus passive sounds like it would be a great boost to Yanfei during burst, since both bursts have a 15s duration

As an F2P account, I’ve been using her as a sub DPS with my Noelle-YunJin setup and she’s been AMAZING! Her Ult just adds so much damage once it’s paired with YunJin and Xiangling’s Ult!
I love her, Yoi and Raiden. I tried it on the last day of abyss and they cleared it soooo fast! I'm deciding between Diona and Zhongli for last. I recommend others to try too :) I didnt even have talent level up yet. It makes me excited for Thursday. Need to farm talent books!
she's my first 5* character from wishes, and I got her on the first day of 2.7 with just only 30 wishes.. Gatcha God was with me.. upgrade her max hp from artifact and she's now my biggest damage dealer.. love her.. just found your channel when looking for Yelan's guide.. great content 😁👍
All of that was pretty self explanatory for Yelan, but THANK GOD she can use those stupid 3 star bows that have been in my inventory since the game launched! Seriously, you have no idea how much I wanted to just use them as level fodder, but in comes Yelan. I already had a feeling that her burst would be top priority so I am not worried about that.......but those HP stats on the other hand......I hope I have a couple of them on stand by. Overall, nice to see Water Ahri is indeed a soild character and I can't wait to pull for this sexy woman with the jazz! Excellent review Sevy as always! Yelan has become one of my most crucial team members fitting into almost every team. I’m under six months in the game so still building a lot of characters that’s rough but oh well I’m in it for the long game here, I’ve spent some cash so getting a decent roster. Now kazuha is starting to be like her, ma favorite current team being Yelan, Kazuha, Kuki, and Yanfei it’s a very fun team and I like the rotations a lot. Just gotta play aggressive and time it out well with yanfei I need more constellations for her I hope I can C6 her sooner rather than later. Maybe I’ll get lucky and get yoi mia but not pulling for her I want Zhongli too badly
I have C1 Ayaka got that when I really didn’t understand the game I just wanted characters, im slowly building her but honestly freeze isn’t my favorite but I like playing her on some domains and I’m getting more used to her she’s kind of a glass cannon until raised i think

lost the 50/50 but eventually got her. favonius def plays the best since her ult is always on cooldown. i’m actually running a semi meme team with yelan, xinqiu, barbara, and raiden. if raiden isn’t carrying, then it’s yelan. her skill is super fun and also makes exploration a lot more bearable
I've been using her in a Yoimiya, Yelan, Zhongli, and Bennett team, and I think she works great there. I'm able to always vape her skill because of bennett, and I haven't noticed Yoimiya having issues with her vape. You can also use yunjin instead of bennett or zhongli but zhongli's most comfortable obviously
For me, she's not a necessity although I pulled for her haha. She's a type of character that expands your team comp that requires utility and gameplay like Xingqiu. Overall the damage is so badass however, they should put more uniqueness on her so that we can say she has a higher value than Xingqiu
I would love to see a Klee + Xingqiu + Yelan team review. Klee's fallen out of the meta due to applying too much pyro damage. You can only vape Klee's charged attacks with C6 Xingqiu and only if Klee is using the 2n1c attack pattern. Klee's DPS would improve a lot if her charge attacks could always vape off of a 1n1c attack pattern, so I'd like to know if Xingqiu + Yelan's bursts together could keep up with Klee's pyro application.

Yelan is my first 5-star character. I actually starting playing Genshin Impact around the time her banner was up and, I spent so much primogen trying to pull for her. I just love her kit and design, and I'm a sucker for hydro characters.
Won my 3rd 50/50 in a row and got Yelan running 2pc HOD and 2 TOM with the fading twilight bow R2 and she doesn’t disappoint I love her so much and got her talents at 8/8/8 already she’s a winner in my book ;) skill hits like 26-30k per enemy I can’t complain plus burst is like 7k per arrow
Having ganyu and yelan both in my team is pretty fun since i can freeze my enemies. Having ZhongliI and jean on my team is pretty fun and its easy to complete my domains with
Prefarmed for her and pulled her without even trying the trial. Immediately pushed her (and her weapon luckily) to 90 and put all of her talents to 9. Slapped a 2 piece HoD and 2 piece Milileth on her and I havent regretted a thing! Shes AMAZING! So much fun! Saw a 100k vape off of her skill in Abyss 12 too!
I got her on my first 20 pulls and managed to get her Bow and even C3 her and she is cracked. I will C5 her if she gets a rerun, she is just Broken, probably better than Ayaka.
I'm surprised you didn't mention her DMG bonus passive at all. The fact that she can provide up to 50% dmg bonus to the active character and that it doesn't reset when you switch characters is crazy strong in my opinion. Even if the buff has to be build over time, that's an average of 25% all dmg bonus for whoever is on the field, even if you switch.
Was sitting on guaranteed for Kazuha, but I had to give that up and be a man of goddamn culture for once. Meta or not I'm happy because now I got a dedicated baddie team with Yelan, Raiden, and Yae with Zhongli as their bouncer. As for Kazu, eh, I'll just face the music and whale when 2.8 drops. I been having lots of fun with her. I didn't know which was her best set so I been using 2x2 tenacity and HoD. I figured we'd get a new domain to fix that so I wasn't all that worried.
I have a team comp called Firestorm that i made before yelan release specifically for her. With Beidou, Venti, And Xiangling. Just like the team name suggest, I have venti swirl his burst with pyro and activate beidou and yelan burst with yelan the driver electro-charging the enemies. With the cool effect of electro-charge keeping both elemental auras it can activate overload or vape with the pyro infused venti ult dealing so much AoE dmg. Don't care what ya'll think about this I find it rather amusing setting up a storm... Also Yelan makes pretty shooting stars with her Breakthrough Barbs
Xinqiu apply more hydro not just because of rainwords. Xinqiu burst has a higher elemental gauge. One HuTao charged attack is not enough to remove the hydro applied by Xinqiu (especially at C6), but Yelan's hydro is just enough for a charged attack
I wasn't planning on pulling for Yelan but her E is so fun and her voice is so nice that I just caved (I dearly hope I can save up for Klee again). Took around 78 pulls but I won the 50/50 so yey! I was totally unprepared so she's currently lvl20 with a Favonius and Beidou's Emblem set, however I was thinking of giving her a 2pc Tenacity instead... I really want to give her the new event bow since it's pretty and has a discount, but I don't know if that's my best option since I have an r5 stringless, r5 favonius and even elegy. As for comps I've been using her pretty much all over the place. I use Xingqiu a lot so she's definitely a nice addition to the family. I can't wait to actually build her, but I literally have 700 mora right now.

Another thing that sets both apart is that Xinqiu favours single target and Yelan prefers multiple enemies due to how both their E works
Hu tao double hydro with yelan is insane, definitely one of the best if not the best single target team in the game

Her passive is really good for me as I always prefer to bring 4 different element characters than using resonance.

Something worth mentioning is that at C0 Yelan applies as much hydro as a C0 Xingqiu but less hydro than a C6 Xingqiu (she applies 1U of hydro every coordinated atyack at C0 and C6 Xingqiu applies 1 too except on the last attack in which he appliez 2U of hydro) so she is definitely an improvement if you don't have him at C6 and need more damage than survability (Xingqiu provides more defensive support), however if you do have C6 Xingqiu then she is still better in terms of damage but falls slightly behind on hydro application which might mess with reactions, so to fix this i'd recommend either running her and Xingqiu together or just avoid using characters that apply a lot of their element off field, however, you no longer need to work around it if you get C2, with that constellation i would say that yea, she is better than Xingqiu as that solves the hydro application problem as her burst fires off another hydro arrow when doing coordinated attacks.
I think this is wirth considering if you want to either exclusively play her at C0 or don't mind going for constellations in which case C2 is a good one.
I'm super excited to pull for Yelan, but I'm waiting until after a final exam next Monday so I don't get distracted RIP. Im interested to see how she works with Yanfei: the "adapt with ease" damage bonus passive sounds like it would be a great boost to Yanfei during burst, since both bursts have a 15s duration

As an F2P account, I’ve been using her as a sub DPS with my Noelle-YunJin setup and she’s been AMAZING! Her Ult just adds so much damage once it’s paired with YunJin and Xiangling’s Ult!

I love her, Yoi and Raiden. I tried it on the last day of abyss and they cleared it soooo fast! I'm deciding between Diona and Zhongli for last. I recommend others to try too :) I didnt even have talent level up yet. It makes me excited for Thursday. Need to farm talent books!
she's my first 5* character from wishes, and I got her on the first day of 2.7 with just only 30 wishes.. Gatcha God was with me.. upgrade her max hp from artifact and she's now my biggest damage dealer.. love her.. just found your channel when looking for Yelan's guide.. great content 😁👍
All of that was pretty self explanatory for Yelan, but THANK GOD she can use those stupid 3 star bows that have been in my inventory since the game launched! Seriously, you have no idea how much I wanted to just use them as level fodder, but in comes Yelan. I already had a feeling that her burst would be top priority so I am not worried about that.......but those HP stats on the other hand......I hope I have a couple of them on stand by. Overall, nice to see Water Ahri is indeed a soild character and I can't wait to pull for this sexy woman with the jazz! Excellent review Sevy as always!

Yelan has become one of my most crucial team members fitting into almost every team. I’m under six months in the game so still building a lot of characters that’s rough but oh well I’m in it for the long game here, I’ve spent some cash so getting a decent roster. Now kazuha is starting to be like her, ma favorite current team being Yelan, Kazuha, Kuki, and Yanfei it’s a very fun team and I like the rotations a lot. Just gotta play aggressive and time it out well with yanfei I need more constellations for her I hope I can C6 her sooner rather than later. Maybe I’ll get lucky and get yoi mia but not pulling for her I want Zhongli too badly
I have C1 Ayaka got that when I really didn’t understand the game I just wanted characters, im slowly building her but honestly freeze isn’t my favorite but I like playing her on some domains and I’m getting more used to her she’s kind of a glass cannon until raised i think

lost the 50/50 but eventually got her. favonius def plays the best since her ult is always on cooldown. i’m actually running a semi meme team with yelan, xinqiu, barbara, and raiden. if raiden isn’t carrying, then it’s yelan. her skill is super fun and also makes exploration a lot more bearable
I've been using her in a Yoimiya, Yelan, Zhongli, and Bennett team, and I think she works great there. I'm able to always vape her skill because of bennett, and I haven't noticed Yoimiya having issues with her vape. You can also use yunjin instead of bennett or zhongli but zhongli's most comfortable obviously
For me, she's not a necessity although I pulled for her haha. She's a type of character that expands your team comp that requires utility and gameplay like Xingqiu. Overall the damage is so badass however, they should put more uniqueness on her so that we can say she has a higher value than Xingqiu
I would love to see a Klee + Xingqiu + Yelan team review. Klee's fallen out of the meta due to applying too much pyro damage. You can only vape Klee's charged attacks with C6 Xingqiu and only if Klee is using the 2n1c attack pattern. Klee's DPS would improve a lot if her charge attacks could always vape off of a 1n1c attack pattern, so I'd like to know if Xingqiu + Yelan's bursts together could keep up with Klee's pyro application.

Yelan is my first 5-star character. I actually starting playing Genshin Impact around the time her banner was up and, I spent so much primogen trying to pull for her. I just love her kit and design, and I'm a sucker for hydro characters.

Won my 3rd 50/50 in a row and got Yelan running 2pc HOD and 2 TOM with the fading twilight bow R2 and she doesn’t disappoint I love her so much and got her talents at 8/8/8 already she’s a winner in my book ;) skill hits like 26-30k per enemy I can’t complain plus burst is like 7k per arrow
I tried diona-ayaka-ayato-yelan team comp on the event and it was absolutely fun! we now have 2 quick hydro applicators for the abyss!

Having ganyu and yelan both in my team is pretty fun since i can freeze my enemies. Having ZhongliI and jean on my team is pretty fun and its easy to complete my domains with
Prefarmed for her and pulled her without even trying the trial. Immediately pushed her (and her weapon luckily) to 90 and put all of her talents to 9. Slapped a 2 piece HoD and 2 piece Milileth on her and I havent regretted a thing! Shes AMAZING! So much fun! Saw a 100k vape off of her skill in Abyss 12 too!
I don’t like Xingqiu so it’s nice that I can have her as an alternative. Even if she can’t apply hydro as much it still beats having him on my team.

I got her on my first 20 pulls and managed to get her Bow and even C3 her and she is cracked. I will C5 her if she gets a rerun, she is just Broken, probably better than Ayaka.

I gave her heart of the Depth plus a Crit DMG hat.
She gains Crit rate when you ascend her so it works out.

I'm surprised you didn't mention her DMG bonus passive at all. The fact that she can provide up to 50% dmg bonus to the active character and that it doesn't reset when you switch characters is crazy strong in my opinion. Even if the buff has to be build over time, that's an average of 25% all dmg bonus for whoever is on the field, even if you switch.

Was sitting on guaranteed for Kazuha, but I had to give that up and be a man of goddamn culture for once. Meta or not I'm happy because now I got a dedicated baddie team with Yelan, Raiden, and Yae with Zhongli as their bouncer. As for Kazu, eh, I'll just face the music and whale when 2.8 drops. I been having lots of fun with her. I didn't know which was her best set so I been using 2x2 tenacity and HoD. I figured we'd get a new domain to fix that so I wasn't all that worried.

I have a team comp called Firestorm that i made before yelan release specifically for her. With Beidou, Venti, And Xiangling. Just like the team name suggest, I have venti swirl his burst with pyro and activate beidou and yelan burst with yelan the driver electro-charging the enemies. With the cool effect of electro-charge keeping both elemental auras it can activate overload or vape with the pyro infused venti ult dealing so much AoE dmg. Don't care what ya'll think about this I find it rather amusing setting up a storm... Also Yelan makes pretty shooting stars with her Breakthrough Barbs

Xinqiu apply more hydro not just because of rainwords.
Xinqiu burst has a higher elemental gauge. One HuTao charged attack is not enough to remove the hydro applied by Xinqiu (especially at C6), but Yelan's hydro is just enough for a charged attack

I wasn't planning on pulling for Yelan but her E is so fun and her voice is so nice that I just caved (I dearly hope I can save up for Klee again). Took around 78 pulls but I won the 50/50 so yey!
I was totally unprepared so she's currently lvl20 with a Favonius and Beidou's Emblem set, however I was thinking of giving her a 2pc Tenacity instead...
I really want to give her the new event bow since it's pretty and has a discount, but I don't know if that's my best option since I have an r5 stringless, r5 favonius and even elegy.
As for comps I've been using her pretty much all over the place. I use Xingqiu a lot so she's definitely a nice addition to the family. I can't wait to actually build her, but I literally have 700 mora right now.
