Actually you don't have to convincingly beat the champ in the UFC like you do in other sports like Muay Thai. Scorecards are all that matters, and while Sean won 1 and 5 comfortably, the 3 middle rounds were all pretty close on significant strikes, but DDP was the aggressor for the majority of the time and scored multiple take downs.
