To me , Cuong doesn’t look happy to see his Mother . How long has she been gone? Does she know how he was mistreated and pushed out of the house? But at the end of the day, she is his mother . Cuong is should go with his mom. He still a kid that's need his own biological family. Thanks to Duyen, with a kind heart she able to take care of him during Cuong difficult time. He is very responsible, hardworking kid...one day after Cuong grown-up he will meet Duyen n her daughter again...

It's really hard on children to be away from their biological mom but Cong seems to be a very wonderful, hard working, considerate young man.
