    Ok
    Pellet or gas? I know your going to say whatever works for you, but I have never seen a gas grill review here. Not saying you have not done one. Just curious as to your thoughts.

    • @DeadBrokeBBQ
      @DeadBrokeBBQ  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      If I had to choose I would go with a pellet grill because there is more flavor than what you get from a gas grill. But if all a person does is grilling than they should go with a gas grill.

      I can do that because it is sitting outside my bedroom window at my neighbors house where it now lives! hahaha Yes the glass will take some elbow grease to keep it clean for sure! I cut out the scene where I said I forgot to clean it before I started filming!!! ha ha Right now though it does clean up pretty easy. Thanks for watching!

    just a philosophical question... is a gas grill a pit?

    • @DeadBrokeBBQ
      @DeadBrokeBBQ  ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Thanks Jeff! Super review!
    - I've been a "rotisserie guy" for a very long time. - I've had one-two-or even three hens from Costco spinning on my rotisserie all at once.
    Isn't Big Lew the best? Love him!
    I'm hoping that one really smart smoker companies will add a rotisserie option to one of their smokers [Hello Camp Chef!].
    - Cheers!

    Great review Ricer. I'm very happy to see you do a propane grill. Far to many folks with propane grills get so disrespected by other folks and that's a shame. Like Harry Soo says "it's not the pit, it's the pitmaster" and I agree. Each type of cooker has its pros and cons. In truth I believe most Americans just grill, that's all. And when it comes to grilling propane shines for quick, clean and easy. Adding the rotisserie is a no Brainerd. In fact I think rotisserie is the original " set it and forget it " cooker looong before pellets came along. Now I know I'm going to get some folks panties in a bunch with what I'm about to say but here goes. You can turn propane grills, especially a large one like that into a smoker. There I said it. By preheating the cooker with all the burners on then turning all but one off and leaving the one that's one at either end your now cooking indirect. That's bbq. Now I'm not saying it's a good go to cooker for smoking a turkey or a brisket but it can be done. And in fact done very well. So well done video. And I agree about the casters. But it's all the manufacturers who go small on casters. It doesn't make sense? I mean most cookers are being purchased and used by men. When given a choice we like big things. Big trucks, big mugs of beer, big boats, women with big - - OK maybe I should just let those two alone 😁 . Sir have a great day. 🌤👍😀🔥🍻

    • @DeadBrokeBBQ
      @DeadBrokeBBQ  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hahahaha well said Victor!!!! I agree if you have heat you can cook and I enjoy grilling with a gasser even if I haven't really owned one for over a decade. I just prefer the flavor of charcoal or wood. But one of these days I will keep one just for grilling chicken for my wife!! ha ha This pit though is very close by---I can see it right out my bedroom window over at my neighbors house! His broke last fall and I want him to have a good pit for him seeing that all he really does is grill!! Like always brother thanks for watching!!!

    • @victorbenner539
      @victorbenner539 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Dead Broke BBQ OK that's the grill you were talking about the day. Well done sir. Here's something to consider because before you know it folks will be bringing out their grills. You know as well as I that most folks put their cookers away filthy. Then they wonder why it doesn't work. And instead of cleaning them and or fixing them they throw them away. Maddening. Ever notice how many grills you see at the beginning of the season at the dumps? I know I'll be doing a clean and fix videos on cookers in the next few months. Maybe you can convince someone to help out doing the same. Hey I'll contact you Friday or Saturday. I'm meeting my "IT" guy Friday. So I'll be getting that short out we talked about.
