Especially because you’re doing it so deftly and its not me with all the frustration I’d have. 😅 stay well. Oh, and to see you scratch a cow with affection made my day. Love the Cheetah.

Jan, If they would put a 90% elbow on top of those vents it would solve your problem with ice chunks dripping down in. If you put a screen on it will become just another thing to have to keep clean the elbow will just redirect air flow.

One thing you could try on the fan is to put a kind of china hat of steel over the fan so you dont get in snow or rain. But you lose some of the capacity of the fan. But that is better than replacing fans since it breaks because off the ice. It works well for our farm here in Norway.

Hey Jan, great video! I have changed those ADF liners before cuz I work at Norwell Dairy, a dairy supplier. I found that if u soak the liners in hot water before u pull them through, the rubber seals around that little plastic spray nozzle better. Proly nit worth doing that for 1 inflation tho 😆

First time I ever watched your video and I really enjoyed it what a beautiful place you have I bet you're proud of it you should be! I watched two other dairy Farmers and you're a lot alike and a lot different really enjoy watching the cows being milked and how you take care of them you have a very clean place and your cows are also very clean I have a question though can I ask how old you are? If you don't mind you seem very knowledgeable for your age by the way that's a compliment! God bless you and your family for everything you do....

I’m of the thinking that there’s always a solution to any problem. Having said that, I definitely think there’s a solution to this ice coming through your fan openings. I can think of several right off the top of my head! However, since I know next to nothing about the dairy industry’s barn set ups, I wouldn’t know for sure about all the intricacies that would have to be taken into account for a workable solution. It may be just a simple solution for a simple problem!!

it is always good to get a perspective of what goes on with farms that supply the country both you and your sister give insight on the running of a farm and what needs to be looked after around the farm and also making the cows as comfortable as possible. Just out of curiosity I see the feeding system and with the sand beds do they have a similar system for delivering sand to the beds, may be easier to access sand to more beds then a bucket on a skid steer.
I enjoy both channels being very informative.

Would give me chance to be closer to my own hobby size farmland and pay is about as much as in office in town.
