Here's my thoughts about the rankings.
I think GL notices that some players took this game WAY too seriously. So in order to make this game more relaxing, they remove the gains/losses in ranks unless we go to the higher leagues. I for one really annoyed by this. Firstly, apart from "I dunno my rankings", I hv to tap several times just to see my point gains/losses, which is wasting my time.
Also, this make the situation even more competitive because there's no telling if we got demoted at any time and it added up the tension if we finished below than 4th position in 8-player lobby because we didn't know our rankings.
Yes, GL trying to make the MP more enjoyable, but they really did something wrong. The only thing that they done right is by adding the milestone rewards. It may be grindy, but I don't mind at all... Also, they punished the players a bit too harsh when we finished below that half position. This affected many rookie players where they don't hv really good cars. I feel sorry for them...
GL really needs to listen to the players feedback more often in order to make this game great again
I agree with what you said about being punished way too harsh for falling below top 50%.. Making the punishment harsher DOES NOT MAKE IT MORE SKILL BASED.. since any run down smuck with a down arrow key can double tap and win.

I absolutely agree.Everytime I nearly/have reached a league,I get a bad race like wrecks and racing people a league above me then I have to do it all over again.Plus,I have a really busy schedule,making it harder to reach legend league.Its bullshit.

GL needs to nerf knockdowns across the board (they just encourage toxicity and give lesser skilled players wins they probably don't deserve)... now read this essay :)
The instant kd buff to shockwaves needs to go, but I think the 100% resistance buff while in shockwaves should stay.
I suppose one way gl could improve the kb system/handling & nitro meta is by adding a "strength" or "durability" stat to cars.
It's intuitive for me to have the less agile and less nitro efficient cars to be "stronger/heavier."
With this system in place, "heavy" cars would gain the perk of being more resistant to kds or better at knocking down opponents.
Alternatively, you could make the more agile/nitro efficient cars be more susceptible to being knocked down.
Getting knocked down when using a car that doesn't have stellar nitro efficiency or handling is brutal and unforgiving - which is why most players avoid them.
Giving the "heavy" cars such a perk would balance out the current handling/nitro meta.. and incentivize taking a risk on a more difficult car to drive.

I hope they bring back rating loss limit of -20 with no league demotion in the next World Series MP, as this MP season is way too stressful, too many players complained about it. I don't mind if they bring back rush mode in the next MP, but I prefer rating loss limit of -20 and no league demotion.

Grand Prix is pretty much just like Battle Royale in Fortnite 😂. 19 players vs yourself, fight against other players to getting the keys for the car. 😂
One of the things I don't like from the new mp system is the rewards from whenever the season ends because for example they only give you 1 pack of cards in legendary league that may contain some bp for the zenvo but it will most likely give you the porsche bp, while in the other system they gave you more packs (i don't care about the number because the season lasted twice the duration of the current one) but the thing that I want back is the guaranteed bp from legendary packs (zenvo, corvette zr1 and mclaren-mercedes) because I don't want to get to legendary league just to get 2 porsche bp.

Does a car's aerodynamics matter in asphalt 9 because I see some cars with good aerodynamics move very slow even at max speed which make it look like their driving with a parachute attached to the back them
No, real Aerodynamic doesn't matter the car's performance in the game. Like Senna for example, it have a lot of aerodynamic stuff on the car, but at the game it doesn't doing anything with the performance.
At 5:21 i recommend doing a force barrel roll with shockwave
