- Digging a herkimer diamond pocket with Logan, the son of Paul, one of the claim owners of Area 51. Its a private claim in New York that produces some awesome herkimer diamond quartz crystals!

The show was wonderful to see, I will never travel again but if I could I would want to go to a herkima and an amethyst mine and find some myself lol. I am a proud owner of a small herkimer on matrix.and It has babies...Oh It is a dream come true for me...Only 5 euros here in Germany..( a little over 5 dollars U.S.)....It is so clear and just so beautiful..I love my little.... as I call him "Herkie"...maybe nothing big or important to others...but to me ....i am in love,and more then happy to have it...I am a crazy rock hound and proud of it...lol

I stopped purchasing crystals/gems about 5 years ago (just no more display space) and happened into my old usual buying spot to find a nearly 1000% markup on everything which was simply horrifying. Now I understand they have to rent special equipment but this is ludicrous prices. So as with all things "when something is affordable and liked, prices will go up" This video just reassured me that I was in fact correct. I know this is a business and that it has turned more into a collectors scene but that is not the original purpose of these stones. To think it used to be almost frowned upon to sell these stones as they were supposed to be given as gifts... In any case, excellent video as always and extremely informative, thank you so much!

Some great specimens but there are better and bigger gems to find out there and all you have to do is find an old volcanic tube, there is an old volcanic tube loaded with gems in Saratoga NY where the trails are and the mineral springs are.

It’s all according to the quality, it could be as little as $20 or as much as 20,000
How does one buy or lease a mine? Is there a web site for each state? Thanks!

It is different in every state, there’s really no rules some places and then some places you have to make claims, it’s easiest if you stick to private landowners
