    The video reel - absolutely essential!!! During my shadowing hours, I write absolutely everything down and review the exercises we perform a few hours after each day in the clinic. This helps me remember how to communicate/cue certain exercises, and helps me remember which exercises and stretches can help which pains. During downtime, this is when I ask all of my questions! + Bonus: Asking the "Is there anything you need me to do?" question is loved across the board - in any clinic! These tips are extremely helpful, thank you for sharing, Justin!

    I totally agree how trying to be a PT aide as a student volunteer is super important, because then you're more involved, which means more learning opportunities! Kinda looking far ahead in my timeline here but do you prefer working with aides/techs or just by yourself?

    Great video. I love your positivity and energy so much! You’re awesome. I just got done my first day of being a PT Aide. I already like the environment of the PT world and think it’s super cool!

      Andrew my man!!! Thank you so much for your positive comment. I appreciate you recognizing the energy and the effort put into this video. Nice man, you’re ahead of the game! I hope you can stick with that aide position and learn a lot from your experience. If you need support, I’m here to help! Have you started looking into what’s required for PT school? Do you have a game plan? What’s your strategy?

    • @andrewritter1177
      @andrewritter1177 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@drjustinleedpt Yes! A college in my hometown fulfills most requirements for PT school. My plan is to work as a PT Aide gaining experience and money- I think it’s a great opportunity.
      I also think I saw from another video that you’re a personal trainer, correct? Do you still do that on top of being a physical therapist? I love working out and the fitness world too, and was actually wanting to, if I could, become a certified personal trainer and physical therapist. What is it like juggling the two?
      Thanks so much!

    • @drjustinleedpt
      @drjustinleedpt  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@andrewritter1177 nice! It’s great that you have a plan. That’s something a lot of students don’t have. And yes you can absolutely do it. I worked as a personal trainer throughout undergrad and PT school (only took a 6 month break when PT school was stacked). It’s totally worth it and I actually recommend it!

      @@drjustinleedpt awesome, thanks so much for taking the time out of your day and responding! I also am in the middle of watching your video of an evaluation.
