I've said for some time now that prior to learning how to knapp, I was already in awe of these people's skill, but after? Maaaaaaaan, you really learn to appreciate just how amazing not just Native americans were, but stone age humanity as a whole.

.Great way to teach your knowledge my friend. Thanks for that. It seems easy but this implies many years of beating on the hands and fingers. Thank you my friend and blessings to you.

I am going to keep my eye out for a trigger bone! Really cool set of arrow points. I’ve got a good collection going myself. Great video! I just found a couple pieces of agate today that has a beautiful crack free structure and conchoidal fracture!

Hey Zack, this is only my second time seeing one of your videos. you have a great approach to teaching flintknapping. very in-depth descriptions of the materials and techniques used in knapping. I'm a native Amer who's been flintknapping for many years, more off than on over the years but I too like using the natural tools that I first learned with, although I do use modern materials. I started knapping again more frequently in the past year or so and have been watching videos from different knappers but you really caught my attention with your teaching. excellent work brother. you have a very native approach to your work preservation of material in particularly. So, the video I saw yesterday was (conserving material) and you spoke about hammerstone types in your area. I'm a couple counties down here in yolo county and the creeks down here produce a wide range of sandstone variables in texture and density. Perhaps some time I could get you samples of hammerstones. unfortunately, we don't have a cache of knapping material anywhere close by, but I would love to find a source and go hunt for a couple pieces of that beautiful dacite you're working with. I've never had the opportunity to work with it yet. Anyway, great vids man!!! You really cover all the bases.

Thank you so much! I’m only one county over from you in Sacramento. I’d be happy to meet up and show you around sometime.

If they had figured out how to make gunpowder, they might still be worthy of consideration.
