if you want more Eurovision songs i recommend Tout l'univers (Switzerland) and Voila (France) for slower songs and maybe Shum (Ukraine) and 10 years (Iceland) for more unique ones (and personal preference). all four of those songs were from this years Eurovision as well. also I don't know the names of all the artists so i just put the countries

Also å is actually a Nordic letter pronounced closer to a English o, but can’t blame you for saying it the same way as Damiano.
Their ages go from 20 to 22 (Damiano the singer is the oldest).
Their Italian songs are usually really deep so you probably want to look at them with an English translation.

Okay but wait until you read the lyric translation for Vent'anni- it's become possibly my favourite song of theirs because it's not only their musicality that is highly skilled but their lyricism on their Italian songs can just blow you away. Come, join us streaming Teatro d'Ira (their second album) on repeat. Also- you should check out some of their live stuff because they record their tracks playing them live as a group and Damiano's vocals especially sound almost identical in tone live, he really knows how to use his voice. And- they're only 20-22 years old!
Definitely recommend checking out Coraline and Torna a casa by Måneskin as well, preferably with the English translations cause they're lyrics are so good!
I recommend watching the Eurovision Grand final of Zitti e buoni, you can find it on Vimeo if you are american.
If you liked them in the OV, they will blow you away live, Maneskin is one of those bands that is better live than on records.
Btw they are 20/22 yo and write all their music and lyrics.
Also, La paura del buio, live with English subs, the music, vocal and attitude is something special.

4:47 he sounds english because in everywhere (but england) they like to teach forgein languages and teach them well. kinda sucks that i live in england but i've noticed everyone from europe who speaks english speaks it so well- and when i went to germany they also seemed to be pretty up on learning french!

In my country’s school they kinda want you not to have you’re country’s accent in English because when you have that people see it as you’re not as good at English. We kinda have to choose to talk either British or American accent to sometimes get better grades. So some maybe sound like they have English as a first language
Besides British English being taught all over Europe (and presumably further) I also think that Alex Turner may have something to do with Damiano’s accent there 😉 at least that’s who I thought he sounded like.

@@Olivia-tz8rl Well now, guess I’ve learned something new. We were never given the choice, only British English is taught in my country. My teachers didn’t even accept American words or spelling. I remember almost failing a test or two because I wrote “mom” instead of “mum” and other silly “mistakes” like that.

The "Begging" cover (the original was from Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons in 1967 and, some yers ago, Madcon made another version) was made when Måneskin were competing in X Factor Italia in 2017: they were from 16 to 18 years old!
I'm Italian and it's weird to perfectly understand the lyrics while no one else is able to. But anyway, I've been following them since they started and I'm SO proud of them
If you want to react more to bands that joined Eurovision, I'm quite interested in what you would think of Hatari. Their Eurovision song was Hatrid Mun Sigra (but spelt with another d that my keyboard can't type). I'm also interested in seeing you react to their songs Engin Miskunn and Klefi.
Can you listen to AURORA next. I would recommend Queendom, Exist For Love, The River, It Happened Quiet live at Nidarosdomen and Runaway. She is a hidden gem (not so hidden anymore cuz of tiktok) and the best human being I have ever seen. Her music is unique to her and every single one of them is meaningful and enlightening. They are SO absurdly talented, I agree. And the oldest of the group, the singer, is only 22 and their youngest member is 20. And Beggin was released in 2017 after they were on the Italian X-Factor, where their youngest (the guitarist, Thomas) was 16/17.
I believe Ethan is the youngest, but anyway, yes, only Damiano was 18 at the time Chosen (they first EP, when they were in X Factor) was released. The rest of the band was 16-17.

More Eurovision!! Gjon's Tears, Barbara Pravi, Victoria Georgieva, Tix, Daði & Gagnamagnið, and Blind Channel. Also the band is named Maneskin because Victoria is half Danish and they were spitballing random names and Maneskin came up and the band chose that. They wanted to change it later on but it just stuck.

The band’s name is “The four seasons” (an Italian-American band famous in the USA, who named themselves after the pizza Quattro stagioni - funny 😂). Begging was written in 1967.
“Beggin’” had two writers: Bob Gaudio and Peggy Santiglia, aka Peggy Farina.
