Don't get it, I have run campaigns with way lbelow 0,20€ and spent more money on campaigns but still didn't trigger the algorithm nor do I get these numbers.
You need a few things to go right. You have to pitch the song, you have to release it on a Friday. Gotta put most of your money in the first 2 or 3 weeks. Also even though the conversion cost is low, does that translate to streams? 20 cents with no streams isn't good.
@@vxd Bro, It does translate, i get like 1000 streams on the first 2-3 days. but at some point i have to scale down and let it run. I hit once discover weekly but that was only because i was using pitch-us which is maybe a bit shady - don't know. Everything else was only scratching DW. At least i managed by now to get into discovery mode which gives some extra push. I have several songs where the budget is way beyond 750. Honestly, for me the whole thing feels like a huge lotery. you can win with 100$ you can win with 750$ and some will not win with spending 10k$ ... The only ones who really earn money is meta :) Mabe it's also their interest to - let's say - keep some folks who obviously have some budget unsuccessful but just enough successful with the ads to keep the hope up to slowly drain their pockets :)
35$/0.28 makes 125 conversion per day. Not all of them go to Spotify, let's say 100 per day. 500 per day from algo. To make 1000 streams per day you need another 400 streams. Where did they come from?
@ He should have a stream/listeners ratio over 5, which apart from being quite unusual for a new band's single promoted with ads, is not the case here, from the images we see.
Hey, massive supporter and enjoyer of the content. My band has been implementing your ad strategies for our latest single, and got a nice release radar boost with just $100. We are committing a $500 ad budget to future songs which we will be releasing every 6 weeks (next release is 2/21). My question is do you recommend running ads that spreads out the $500 over the 6 week duration of the song release until the next song comes out? Or would you do something like compress the ads to the first week to try and trigger a massive release radar boost and then focus heavily on organic vertical content across Reels, Shorts, and TikTok. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
Andrew, have you worked with promoting instrumental clubby music (deep house, UK Garage)? What to do as song structure is a bit different and obviously no vocal performance to record + put in as captions on screen. Love the vids, thanks tons for sharing your knowledge!
ANDREW: Could you create (or provide a link if you've already created) a video explaining the economics of Facebook/Instagram advertising because based on what I'm seeing, I don't understand how, and how much, Facebook/Instagram advertising is profitable. For example: Spotify pays about US$0.003 per stream and you show cost of US$0.18 per click. So, unless I'm missing something, an artist needs 0.18/0.003 = 60 streams from each click just to break even. Did the artist average 60 streams from each click? More? You don't say whether the $750 ad budget was US or Canadian dollars. Since Spotify pays in US currency, I'll assume a budget of $US522.54. 100,000 streams at $0.003 per stream works out to 100,000 x 0.0003 = $300.00, a $222.54 loss. Was the campaign profitable and if it was, what am I missing?
That’s a good calculation! I believe that these campaigns are not meant to have a positive ROI just from streaming service revenue, he also say it in the beginning that only extreme cases get even. But as an artist, you are counting on also getting real fans, that will eventually come to concerts, buy merch and so on. He did not include the data on apple music (on the landing page, he has multiple platforma) which also pay better than Spotify, so actually the artist might have been closer to getting even (not sure about this part, just a thought). You also get an audience that you can actually retarget with ads for tickets/merch which do get much better ROI.
If you do Beatles type of pop music like I do besides US , south americia draws a a lot of streams , I think it has to do with the culture but also when Paul McCartney toured there he created a huge fanbase. Sometimes the stats of certain bands touring countries is a good figure to go by , like the rock band Kiss has a huge following in Japan and of course dance music is huge in europe.
I am quite sure that if I take my old ass out in the rain that I won't get 100K streams in 3 months off of my ads. Yes the song, the artist and visuals matter in your artist Ad performance. Don't know what I can take away from this other than that. BTW...Where can I go see that ad and stream their song.
@@TheRealSandmanmay I ask how much have you spent? And also what type of results have you had? Im also debating if its even worth it, but what other option there is to reach new audiences and build an actual fanbase? Idk bro…
@ I'm not here to promote my music. But since 3 have asked : I'm 'Blades Of Freedom' and the low cpc high save rate tracks are Legacy of Shadows ,Just a Dream and Infinity Glow. But I have a new track out Feb 10 that is even better.
I guess Spotify listeners don't like my art. I'm stuck at around 1k/month (or so) of listeners. Maybe i'm too old for that crap hahahahaha. TH-cam starts to dig it tho... Oh well.... Thanks for your vidz Andrew. It's really appreciated!!!

Ive triggered it 3 times before in the past
bro apple music living in stone age without an algorithm like spotify...
Can you actually show when the algorithm spikes on the source of streams. ?
"helps that they're good looking people on screen of course" 🤣
Andrew u the real deal brotha thank u for what u do 🤞🏽

you got to have a big daily budget. Like 40+€ , otherwise it's hard to trigger algo
@@BOF303 I think he means his Cost For Conversion was below 0.20 Euro
I know cause it’s all a scam. Stop running ads to Spotify their algorithm is silly

Hey Andrew, thanks for the video and insights! One question though: what was the total budget for this specific campaign ?
I think he said $750 Canadian

People can stream more than once lol
@connorclement and these streams will be mark as artificial lol

Once again no mention of overall budget or did i miss it?
I believe he states it in this video - around 750 CAD
@@dailydosamusic thats crazy cheap for 100K streams in 3 months, they must have invested elsewhere too, submithub etc.
