REAL Schindler's List Camp Filming Location - Krakow, Poland - Spielberg Camp Plaszow movie set

- Hey everyone, Last year I made a tour to Krakow and also visited the kind of scary place: Liban Quarry, the palce Spielberg filmed the Plaszow concentration camp parts.
Some parts are still standing and I tried to make this video as detailed as possible to give you the best overview of the place.
I will also add a detailed video soon about how to get to this place safe and sound without searching for hours ;)

The actual "villa" still stands. Amon's daughter has made a documentary called "Inheritance" and she returns to her childhood home.
Not only that, I saw a video showing the villa beiing restored.
Inheritance is not only about her daughter, but other children and relatives of famous Nazis.
Why in the movie do they make out Amon's house was high up and needed a stair case, when in reality it was level with the camp.
Great video, visited here myself in 2012, in the movie the camp is clearly visible from the house, in reality you can't see the camp from the house, survivors have said they we're shot at as they went from and to the house on work trips.

very good video ,please remember the quarry was used as a penal camp with over 800 young poles as prisoners,there is a memorial for the victims who were murdered by the germans ,thanks

I don't know why but I reacted to you taking a second trying to remember the name Adam Levy. I just thought it was very thoughtful of you to not mention him as "the character who said/ did this or that but to actually take the time, in your case a few seconds, to remember him by name.
Maybe I react more cause I can hear that you sound like a quite young man and it makes me happy that the younger generation keep the memories alive.
Now, this was in 2015 so you're a bit older now but perhaps some other young person are seeing this someday and getting inspired by you.

I appreciate for those of us who cannot visit this atrocity are given this footage to see history unfolded...even if the footage seems amateurishly filmed.
The history wasn't really here unless you're talking about the history of the movie.

That is really interesting, although it is just a set and/or location for the movie 🎥, seeing the road made of tombstones is chilling, they are just stone but are still visibly there, it's like a historic view back to the days of the third Reich, just a slivered glimpse of hitler's final solution. Spielberg said it was tough for him, he cried a lot during the filming of this movie. He did not want to be paid to direct this movie 🎥. Now, the foundation your standing on, is that just the foundation for amon's villa for the movie fight? Not the real villa?
Certainly not. The villa is still intact. It was never destroyed.

Im confused about the house..you show foundation of where the house sat in the movie ? And yet in other videos you see the house in 2016 being renovated into luxury villa and its a completed house ..
Yes, that’s it. The house that was build and used in the movie used to stand here and has been taken down after shooting. The real house still stands today.
The house that still stands today does not overlook the ground where the Plascow camp stood, it's just up the lane from the camp but the ground behind the house is quite high and does not allow the camp to be seen. The house the film crew built looks very like the original house that goth lived in. Just to confuse things a little more there is a large square house right at the lower end of where the camp main gate would have stood. It's apartments now. I have been to plascow twice and have spent some time getting the lay of the land.
The set for some reason look much smaller than it did in the movie.
Yes sets often look small in reality. When they use wide angle lenses on 35 mm film ..movie reel not digital of todays tech... things can look bigger than they actually are.
It makes sense since the real camp is like 12 acres in total

👨💻i met an Actual schindler's camp refugee myself he told me the basic stories of fear starvation cold
Funny he worked for a german who also migrated to Australia after ww2 1 GUY CAME in to work & said the camps were all lies the german boss yells get out no sale to you ever !
in a line up a german soldier stopped at a man in front opened his jacket & exposed a news paper inside to help keep out the cold
step out he yelled cocked his gun & bang blew his brains out for that a daily meal may contain 1 spoon of Jam 1 onion or potato bread if avail At work I started to worry as he was in the toilet for ages he was like 90 yr old still working
i knocked & asked you ok he murmured a bit said a gut ache i came back 2nd time he was like oh arh

i just told the Boss to ring an ambulance but he drove him home & met one there he was like 1/2 hr off dying with a blood filling his stomach up from a stomach cyst that burst 2 weeks later he walks in quite as im working i turned around and he smiled thanked me for saving his life

Can you just walk around here? In the US it would be a huge tourist attraction with all kinds of cheesy crap around it.
Yes you can, I stayed with my wife in an Airbnb on Boleslawa Limanowskiego the actual main street of the Ghetto, it's a beutiful city and the film set is about 25 minute walk away, the real camp is a further 5 minutes on with visible signs that it was there.
