The pronunciation of Leister killed me! Really enjoyed this as a first-time viewer. I agree about the architecture being integral to a country's draw. Also agree with the immigration and tourism being harmful especially immigration.
Where is this painting supposed to be set? Looks like the germanic Alps.

I'd say it's good when a culture is really needing attention and/or money to survive, but otherwise it tends to corrupt stuff.
