she needed a dress with a corset and a princess shape to pull in her waist. The ballgowns she pulled needed more structure. Where’s gok when we need him
Each dress was more expensive than the previous one and the fourth one, although slightly cheaper, was still over budget. None of the dresses were within the budget given. Don’t they have cheaper dresses? Go and see Gok. His dresses are gorgeous and cheaper, too.
they absolutely have cheaper dresses but not with a whole lot of bling and not generally in the princess style. but this place massively overprices their dresses anyway, it's completely possible to find a bedazzled cinderella dress under 1500 as long as you don't go to a fancy shop with its own TV show.
Not that much. It is London- the store owner is paying London overheads and wages to be competitive with other London businesses- with city designers an. Plus if you want more bling it means more ka-ching
@Dianne Bernau Gok has gone over budget. And some of his episodes dont even bring up the budget, so the viewers never know if he went over or not. So don't act like Gok is magic. If this bride came into the store he works in (and doesn't own BTW) he would also have a tough time getting the dress to "click all of her boxes" without going over. Even with the Essence of Australia gowns his store carries (which are usually cheaper than many designers in this store).
Gok would have helped her find the perfect dress AND be respectful of her budget at the same time! 🙄 It annoys me that this version completely disregards how much the bride wants to spend, the budget is there for a reason!
Gok has pulled things that are too expensive. They all want to show how much glitz and glamour can cost. Some women are not realistic about what things cost.
@Anni Carlson You are not looking for what the bride wants. She wants bling details and "Disney" type glamour. No one will be able to find them at that price. "Auntie Gok" does not have Pnina gowns. This store does. Brides should be more cognizant of what store they are choosing and not expect every store to have the same dresses. And BTW, some brides go to the higher end store like this one FOR the designers they have in stock. Lancashire would not be a candidate for these brides, so not all stores are for every bride. And Lancashire is not magic, and I have seen them go over budget, even with the smaller name designers. Why? Because the bride's budget was too small for what she was looking for. Somehow Gok gets a pass while this store always gets dumped on. Maybe ALL of Gok's clients have emotional back stories and you are loving the store he works in because of the emotional, cathartic nature of his episodes. Then you overlook all the times he does all the things you complain about with this store.
The crazy thing is that one of the first things the consultant asked was 'is there a budget i should be respectful of'. She then completely ignored the budget amount given :O
Yep! I laughed to myself when she said that, she is never respectful of their budget! Either this shop purposely doesn't carry enough dresses in this price range or they just need to be honest and say, what you are looking for will be higher than your budget!
Wait a minute. This store carries what it carries. It is not the store's fault she came here looking for a designer gown with bling and feeling like she "looks like a Princess." She should have gone to a budget bridal store, because even most of the dresses in Lancashire with her requests are more expensive. There are several reasons why she came here looking for a dress: she wanted a designer gown she wanted to be on TV her budget was more negotiable. None of these things are the store's fault.
@@catladyfromky4142 they should state that prior to putting her into dresses over her budget in the hope the bride will love it and try to find a way to pay for the unaffordable dress.
A ball gown would have made her look even shorter. She mentioned that that was an issue for her. Some petite brides don't care about that, but she does. And Gok does not have the same dresses this store has. And he isn't even in charge of buying the dresses Lancashire carries. The dresses in this store are all higher end (except the Dando London) so of course they will be more expensive. If this bride thought that her small budget was more important than the designer gowns in this store, she would have gone somewhere else. But she came here. Therefore, the chance that she could get all that she was looking for with £1500 or less was slim to none. Actually, it would have been difficult for Gok to not go over budget (as he has in the past) as well. She wanted Disney and bling. That costs real money.
@Michelle Mercer Did you not notice all that she wanted? She wanted bling and to look "like a Disney princess." All these things cost, and are more than £1500, even in Lancashire. All these details cost money, and it is not Confetti and Lace's fault. If the bride wanted to find a cheaper dress, she should have gone to a British equivalent of David's Bridal instead of this one that carries top name designer gowns. The consultant's job is to find her a dress she loves as close to the price point as she can. But you would rather the consultant stop trying so the bride may have to come back to this store after she increases her budget. The bride could have said no when putting on these dresses. The price tags were clearly on them, so she could have looked or asked if it was that important to her. The bride is a big girl, and she can do it.
@@catladyfromky4142 I agree to an extent. These consultants paycheck comes through commission. The higher the price, the more in their pocket. @shumica She wanted Disney-type glamour and beading. How were they supposed to NOT go over her meager £1500 budget? Even "Auntie Gok's" dresses go over that with those details. When you complain about this store, you HAVE to examine what the brides want and how much they can spend to get it. You want all these details for no money. Sorry, but NO store, with name designers, will be able to deliver. Why don't you complain about these brides choosing this store when they have no money to spend but want all the bells and whistles? This store has designer gowns. If she wanted "Essence of Australia" gowns she should have gone to a store that has them. But she didn't, so here we are, with the consultant trying to find her a gown she loves. The bride can always say no. Her job is to find her a gown so she can make a decision. It is better to give her a choice than not, but you would rather let her leave without even seeing if they have a gown she likes. How unproductive of you.
Discussed this under another video. I ask myself every time where the A - Line dresses are?! This shape suits many brides. Besides that, I think mermaid looks awful on most bodies 🤷🏻♀️
They don't seem to want to show dropped waist dresses at all. Big skirt and perfect if have short torso so you look wierd in proportions sometimes if skirt goes to big a d fluffy at waist that sit closer to the sisters
Yep, a few examples with that design is all the consultant needed to pull, and the bride would have found one. This consultant wrongly wanted her to go for a whole different design (mermaid) than what the Bride explicitly said she wanted.
Definitely a corseted gown regardless of which shape she chose, however drop waist would’ve made her proportions really off. Drop waist rarely flatters anyone. The only body type I feel drop waist looks alright on is a super thin tall frame and even then there’s much more flattering looks. But yes if they had shown her a ball gown with a corset I’m sure she wouldn’t have switched her preference so quickly. I do love mermaids, but she’s been dreaming of ballgowns (which I also love) since childhood so they definitely should’ve shown her more. I feel like this should’ve been a very easy appointment
There wasn't much communication, just trying more and more similar dresses. I think it would have helped to change up styles and to ask the bride specifically what she was liking/disliking. They should have tried an A-line with the waist a slightly lower and a more structured bodice - that would have flattered her more.
Putting brides into dresses over their budget is borderline emotional manipulation. They take their trust for granted, and their freedom of pure joy over comfortably shopping for different dresses without having to worry about the one person they should seek dress advice from wanting to put them into literal debt
The bride needs more of a open mind. The bridal consultants of that location need to respect the bride's budget. I would love to see both bride and member of the bride's entourage ask point blank why they (consultant) keep pulling dresses over budget.
£1500 for bling and Disney princess? No store can deliver that unless it may be a David's Bridal type store. Brides who are on TV have plenty of time to research the types of dresses and the prices. If they don't do the work, it is not the store's fault.
Come on you fools!! She wanted a HUGE Disney princess dress and tons of beading and bling for only 1,200??? She was being so greedy and tight fisted, of course the consultant went over budget!! There's no way to find a dress like that for such a low amount of money. The bride needs to flap the moths away from her purse and actually PAY for what she's looking for!!
she was given dresses that were too big for her. but they order dresses in her size. the first was what she wanted. the salesperson should have brought in the seamstress in to help.
I’m livid… Consultant Kim should be fired. This isn’t the first time she’s quashed a brides dreams because she can’t do her job properly. All she had to pull was a princess dress with a corseted top! I hope this girl didn’t give up on her princess dream. Kim is just too old fashioned and shouldn’t be paired with a young bride.
I do think the last dress suited her and she looked lovely in it. At the end of the day if you set a budget you may not get the dress suited to your liking within budget.
Tbh it's because of how much of a profit they gotta make either per day/per year it all depends . I'm sure if they could they'd lower the prices so these brides can afford it
No. These are designer gowns. The store's buyer can either pick these designers or others, but the prices are more based on what the designers sell them for. We cannot squeeze blood from a turnip. Most of the gowns in this store START at £1500. And dresses like this bride wants are going to be expensive. The store is not a charity. Brides looking for cheaper designers should NOT come here. If they want expensive details at less than £1500 at ANY store, they are delusional.
There was a dress in the background that had a very beautiful back of dress number two and the back of the dress they did not highlight was in one dress it would have been perfect for what she was looking for. I loved what she said about you have to love the man your marrying. The host and her family were all very loving supportive and patient. I'm sure this beautiful princess will find her special dress.
It was probably more over her budget. Her budget was only £1500. Most of the dresses in the store are over that. And ones with lots of detail that she wanted are a lot more over her budget. And if the consultant had put her in that dress, even more people here would complain about "never respecting the bride's budget." I am sure that either she or her entourage would have seen that dress and pulled it if it would have suited her desires within her budget. Too bad she didn't like the last one, because I thought it was really pretty on her.
Notice the price is out of her range! I also agree she should have tried a ball gown with a corset to pull her in at the waist. Not just the always pushed mermaid style.
How can she say respect the budget and then keep going over budget. So infuriating. I have noticed brides who have large budgets they always go under budget
The first dress is nice but the neckline is weird. It makes her whole torso look wide having the two corners near her armpit. The higher waistline isn't flattering on her either as it makes her hips look wide Overall it reminds me of a dress for school dance rather than a wedding dress. I like the second one as well but because she is short the big skirt and the high neckline together sort of eat her up. It's hard to see what dress looked like but it seemed pretty typical. The last one just made her look wider at the hips- I think the princess neckline didn't help. They should have stuck to her original vision but something with a lower waist
I don't care for this bridal shop. This bride has a darling figure and should easily be able to find a perfect Disney dress. They always derail the bride's vision at this shop.
that "Princess" ballgown dress was just bland and not flattering on her, none of them were the princess look she wanted. They should've put her in some different ballgowns or shapes similar to a ballgown instead of jumping right to fishtails.
nah, it made her look too wide in the hips. i think she was too quick to nix the princess gowns, just because the first one she tried on was high-waisted and too big on her. a dropped waist or A-line corset back would have still nipped in her waist without making her look like a pixar mom lol
"I've dreamed of My wedding day my whole life. " Am I the only nuts girl who's dreaming of her wedding day now, but dreamed of the rest of her marriage her whole life? Am I growing up backwards?
Nah girl you have your priorities straight! Focus on your future marriage and setting you both up well. I bought a pink dress for $120 as my wedding dress and had a very small outdoor wedding. Instead, we used the funds on our then just bought house. I don’t regret putting my husband/marriage first instead of getting a $1000+ dress that I’d wear only once, or on an expensive wedding. ☺️
I'm so annoyed. The reason she did not like the first dress was because it was too big and wasn't a true ballgown. It was a line. If they had put her in a corset back real ball gown so her tiny waist contrasted with the fullness of the skirt she would have loved it! And had her dream dress! Bad job with the appointment
At least they could zip up the dresses and pull them in with clips. Do they have an alterations department? The bling bodice ballgown looks really nice on Kayleigh, with her beautiful hair. I really liked the fourth dress.
I knew exactly the dress that she was wanting gotta go to Gok shop you’re either a princess Cinderella or Princess Ariel what dress is that you want completely to different Disney princesses
Why oh why didn't they give her a princess dress with a dropped waist!? That would give her her dream Disney Princes wedding dress she always wanted, as well as showing her shape off with a dropped lower waist.
Makes one wonder if the purchase budget for the store doesn’t allow for meeting the bride’s budget. -Perhaps there isn’t the variety of bridal gowns and accessories to offer as ought to be, on behalf of the bride’s desires and needs.
As a former bridal stylist that princess dress had a very high bodice (top half of the dress) harsh cut. It did nothing for her shape at all. She needed a little bit longer bodice with no seam with a flow a-line princess skirt. Ugh makes me want to scream at the TV screen. I had a Disney collection princess dress for my wedding and I'm 5 feet tall.
Where is Mori Lee's ball gowns and other dresses that price range about 1k to 1.5k?? Where are you keeping them?? Seriously, this consultant is the worst ever.. I saw a few times ball gowns that less than 1k before.. 🙄
Why ask for a budget, say "No problem" when the budget is given, and then go over the budget? At least tell her where the dresses start, price-wise, if you don't have any within that budget.
When your short and big busted it needs to be fitted. She would have been better with an A line and maybe higher neckline to create an illusion of length, also high heels.
They don't have a lot of dresses cheaper than £1200. The ones they so carry are plainer, because they are still designer gowns. If she had wanted plain, she could have gotten it here. Look at all the other brides in this series who get what they ask for from this store. It is because their expectations actually MEET their budget. Put some onus on the brides for coming here in the first place.
David needs to retrain consultant Kim. She does not respect the bride's budget and does not pull the gown design the bride asks for. No comission for Kim. No sale for the salon.
The bride: "I dont wanna go higher than 1.5k for the dress" Consultant: *picks dresses for almost 3k* Look i can understand the shops trying to make some money ok but DUDE that was double her maximum budget. Dont these consultants have any respect for peoples budgets? Wth.
Isit me or the consultant are not trying her best nor be more creative to mix as match design or give a suggestion..like doing some alteration on the length where the skirt cut shld start from.. if the cut were made shorter will b better since she already love most of the dress design or the consultant just dont know how disney dress shld look like..🙈
Maybe some brides want too much for tiny budgets ....1.5 K tops .. isn't realistic for the most gorgeous sparkly dress with metres and metres of quality fabric. Wedding dresses have a lot of embellishments too!

And if the consultant had put her in that dress, even more people here would complain about "never respecting the bride's budget."
I am sure that either she or her entourage would have seen that dress and pulled it if it would have suited her desires within her budget. Too bad she didn't like the last one, because I thought it was really pretty on her.
Here is my issue….why ask for a budget and then disregard it altogether?
She just wanted the first dress but with a longer top piece and showing her shape more. Idk why this consultant gave her completely different dresses.
The last dress was very pretty.
Notice the price is out of her range! I also agree she should have tried a ball gown with a corset to pull her in at the waist. Not just the always pushed mermaid style.
From Clacton! No way, that was a surprise. I’m from Clacton wasn’t expecting to see anyone from here on this show
Kim always goes over budget ...why ask?
"So is there a budget I should be disrespecting dahlin?"
😂
Go Go Go see Gok!!!
I loved the last one on her
How can she say respect the budget and then keep going over budget.
Whoa, what's with the Exorcist theme at 7:10?!
Auntie Gok would NEVER.....
Exactly🫶🏼!!!!!!
Why didmnt they put her in a drop waist ball gown. She would get the ball gown look and it would show off her shape.
🐼 Big Bear Hugs from a 68 yr old grandma in Kirby, Texas, USA 🐼 ❤ 🎀 ❤ 🎀
Why do they go so over budget????? I can’t stand this store, and Gok’s dresses as so much nicer and more affordable.
Rerun and yes she should have gone to Gok
that "Princess" ballgown dress was just bland and not flattering on her, none of them were the princess look she wanted. They should've put her in some different ballgowns or shapes similar to a ballgown instead of jumping right to fishtails.
I think the last wedding dress was the one...it looked stunning on her. I think all she would have needed was the veil.
nah, it made her look too wide in the hips. i think she was too quick to nix the princess gowns, just because the first one she tried on was high-waisted and too big on her. a dropped waist or A-line corset back would have still nipped in her waist without making her look like a pixar mom lol
@@dietotaku I agree
"I've dreamed of My wedding day my whole life. "
Am I the only nuts girl who's dreaming of her wedding day now, but dreamed of the rest of her marriage her whole life?
Am I growing up backwards?
Nah girl you have your priorities straight! Focus on your future marriage and setting you both up well. I bought a pink dress for $120 as my wedding dress and had a very small outdoor wedding. Instead, we used the funds on our then just bought house. I don’t regret putting my husband/marriage first instead of getting a $1000+ dress that I’d wear only once, or on an expensive wedding. ☺️
I don’t understand why they go above the budget?
Thought the last dress looked perfect on her
I'm so annoyed.
I think she would sparkle in a satin dress 🎉
Why oh why didn't they give her a princess dress with a dropped waist!?
That would give her her dream Disney Princes wedding dress she always wanted, as well as showing her shape off with a dropped lower waist.
What is Kim smoking? Didn’t give her a Princess gown and didn’t respect her budget….if you can’t do your job, then it’s time to move on….
Makes one wonder if the purchase budget for the store doesn’t allow for meeting the bride’s budget. -Perhaps there isn’t the variety of bridal gowns and accessories to offer as ought to be, on behalf of the bride’s desires and needs.
Call Gok!!!
Why do they ask, how much the bride wants to spend and then not respect their budget......
Does anyone else think David puts on the accent...
Yet again the sales assistant (Kim) has pulled dresses for the bride to be above the budget given, so disrespectful and completely unnecessary.
What happened to a line or drop waist?
Where is Mori Lee's ball gowns and other dresses that price range about 1k to 1.5k?? Where are you keeping them?? Seriously, this consultant is the worst ever.. I saw a few times ball gowns that less than 1k before.. 🙄
Why ask for a budget, say "No problem" when the budget is given, and then go over the budget? At least tell her where the dresses start, price-wise, if you don't have any within that budget.
I would have tried on a couple more dresses show me tried on to I was lucky the first one was the wow factor LOL
When your short and big busted it needs to be fitted. She would have been better with an A line and maybe higher neckline to create an illusion of length, also high heels.
This sounds like me, I'm pretty nervous I won't find a dress either xd
I hate it Everytime they gave the bride dresses beyond her budget. What is the purpose of asking?
ZACH KEVIN
A dropped waist ball gown would be the ticket.
The thing is the dresses are everything accept princess Disney. WHAT is the consultant thinking, please ? .VERY ANNOYING.
As usual, budget 1200-1500. Dresses they bring way over 1500 smh
Ugh this consultant is absolutely terrible at choosing dresses
David needs to retrain consultant Kim. She does not respect the bride's budget and does not pull the gown design the bride asks for. No comission for Kim. No sale for the salon.
The consultant isn’t working it well
Why didn’t they do a dropped waist?!!
The bride: "I dont wanna go higher than 1.5k for the dress"
Consultant: *picks dresses for almost 3k*
Look i can understand the shops trying to make some money ok but DUDE that was double her maximum budget.
Dont these consultants have any respect for peoples budgets? Wth.
She look s just like Lindsay Lohan
Isit me or the consultant are not trying her best nor be more creative to mix as match design or give a suggestion..like doing some alteration on the length where the skirt cut shld start from.. if the cut were made shorter will b better since she already love most of the dress design or the consultant just dont know how disney dress shld look like..🙈
This consultant is very unprofessional
People want ball gowns but they hide the shape they don't show the shape they are pouffy.
Maybe some brides want too much for tiny budgets ....1.5 K tops .. isn't realistic for the most gorgeous sparkly dress with metres and metres of quality fabric. Wedding dresses have a lot of embellishments too!
