    Beautiful guitar. I have a 1990 version, the switching is a little different since Paul kept trying different things over time and the pickups are the HFS / Vintage base combo so it sounds different (I like your tone a bit better, truth be told). Mine was damaged so I got it cheap from a guy on a whim and fell in love. I have other guitars but my 32 year old PRS is the one that gets played 95% of the time. Those old ones were magical guitars.

      They are i can only imagine what it mustve been like to be turning up with one when they were new on the scene and nobody had seen them before haha

    Good video. I remember when PRS hit the scene, they were quite different from the then same old fender or gibson. Good playing, its a reminder to me that I really need to learn the second numb solo!

      The whole time i had it in my hands i was thinking of some guy back in the mid 80s getting this guitar new and just how awesome of a thing to own it mustve felt.

    Dude, the bridge is the same in terms of shape but what you've got there is the Milcom one piece bridge. Notice the baseplate and block are one solid chunk, no screws or anything like that.

    Wasn't a PRS fan in the beginning, but once I bought one I really began to appreciate the fine quality and craftsmanship. So much so that I can't get on with so called "budget" guitars any longer. If PRS guitars were women, they'd be the ridiculously hot chicks that just want to stay in shape, play video games with you, and watch you play guitar.

      I would say they are the one company where the difference between the afforable versions and core line versions is worth it

      @@Paul-D Man, I have to agree. I've had SEs and S2s, and while they're great guitars in their own right, once I got a Core model I finally understood.

      The difference between this and an SE is mindblowing. A MIM fender and USA is sooo close, even a good epiphone and gibson are reasonable comparable. PRS SE to Core is HUGE!

    That's so cool man. That opening choice of solos had me. Hahah. I am hoping to find a trade to get a PRS SE standard or 24. I'm locally looking for trades for the fusion T HB which no bites. Hahahah. I am in no hurry to rid the HB Fusion T but I would for a PRS SE as I know their value is similar but I really just want to try one a bit. I'm liable to play one and not like it. But I doubt that. Hahah I've not tried a shorter than 25.5 since playing guitar but I'm sure over the years I picked up many buddies LP and etc. I just don't know now how it would feel. Hahah great video brother. Hope all is well !!!

      Thanks for watching dude. I think the scale lengh on a custom 24 would be totally fine for you its closer to a fender scale lengh then gibson.

    I think the headstock angle is more flat on the older models

    • @Paul-D
      @Paul-D  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ive only got a modern SE to compare it too. But ill look for sure to see if the angle is different
