Made some calculations to the whole value that the capsules provide (Note the numbers are based on the RP values of the skins). The minimum value of a skin is 520 and a capsule guarantees 3 shards, 520 * 3 = 1560 rp the total minimum value with just one capsule. Now taking this as an example the total value of 30 capsule is 22500 rp. 1560 * 30 = 46800 on rp, not counting the rewards of the milestones. Theoretically you gain more if not double the value of the capsule value on skin shards, does this make the chroma worth getting ? No but knowing the total value of what you get helps a little bit, the chroma and its icon are just added bonuses
I think you failed to count the fact that you need Orange Essence to activate the shards.
so, if you want to be more technical, since a capsule guarantees 3 shards, we'll say you reroll them to get a permanent skin, so the value of the capsule is a guaranteed 520 RP ( minimum skin price) not 520*3RP
on another note, why would you spend 22k RP on random skins when you can spend them on the few skins you want and will actually use?
