I've come to realize that youtube must govern its steaming based on how many views and subscribers there are. my 1GB connection cant stream any vids that dont have high views and subs without having to buffer or it just forces it to a lower res. 4K and 1440P down to 720P and 480P. this is after setting maximum value in task manager for browser and using my nvidia 3080ti as the video renderer. it was worse before doing that as well. if youtube wanted to get more people use its paid version. making it stream for all content like netflix does i would probably pay for it. Its sad because people like yourself are going to the extra effort to record and upload in 4K only for the platform to have issues. Unless the server that the media is streamed from is based in our respective countries.
