Glad to hear they are finally going to build that RV resort up on the ridge behind the Walmart! They were supposed to build a KOA resort there and they ended up pulling out a few years ago. I always thought that location would be PERFECT for an RV resort! Can't wait to see Talona Ridge RV Resort finished out when we come back there in September (staying at Doll Mtn. COE on Carter's lake, which is west of Ellijay). Sorry, we can't be there in November for your meet-up, as we'll be heading west to TX! After living there for 10 years, we sold our cabin in Ellijay last summer and then started our full time RV travel after that. We've headed north (in Hershey, PA atm) and are slowly making our way north to Bar Harbor, Maine. We know all the fun places to go in Ellijay (just message us if you have any questions). I was watching something about treasure hunts done similarly as you described and the treasure, or cache was in a plastic container with multiple prizes and as the people found the cache, they took one prize and put the plastic container with the remaining items back in the hiding spot. This way more than one person can have the joy of the adventure of finding the prize.
Sadly couldn’t watch the “Live” huddle, we were doing our best to live the “Switch”, traveling. Had this planned before the huddle. Looked like it was amazing. Congrats on you first not many successful in person meets. Hope to meet you one day. Keep up the great content.

Talking about going Texas in the future: My bucket list is to visit San Antonio Texas on April 8th, 2024. Half of the city will be in a total solar eclipse and I would also revisit the Riverwalk behind the Alamo that I went to on a day pass from Lackland AFB (basic training) in 1977.

We lived in Ellijay, GA for 10 years - sold our home last summer to start our full time RV adventure. LOVED living in the north GA mountains, it's beautiful there.
