@@marvinli1589 Yes.. the game is old and they don't even play it much anymore. Neither one really translated their godlike skills to any other games. Justin kind of in Street Fighter but not even close to the same dominance . You wouldn't even think Yipes was good at video games if you saw his tournament results now.
Man, it's awesome to rewatch all of these old Marvel videos. Yipes's MSP was just amazing to watch and Justin's game knowledge was mind blowing. That 4th match though...holy shit

After seeing this after so many year, I’m honored to have played them at their peak… I’m still trying to figure out how we played this game… I forgot how fast they played… lol
Marvel really is a game of pixels. If Yipes kills Psylocke at a pixel of health before she escapes in game 4 then it’s a comfortable 3-1 set, while on the other hand if Justin hits the launcher confirm at the end of game 5 it’s a reverse 3-0 and who knows how the second set goes.
It’s just nice to see Yipes get one in an era of total killers.
*This was when Justin Wong was the Tiger Woods of MVC2.*

Yipes has beat him a bunch of times tho...Justin's a better player in all fighting games but in MvC2 Yipes is a tiny fraction better.

Easy? MvC2 has always been one of the most crackhead type of games I’ve seen. The reaction speed and skill set required for this level of play is ridiculous.

Cable is one of the 4 Gods, Spiral has her place (on a very dominant team too, that has a TON of history all its own), and Iron Man was always known to be a pretty decent character. It's just that being "decent" in a game that has characters like Mags, Storm, and Sent isn't good enough at the top-level.
This may have been the peak of Marvel.

the Arcade in my town ( 3D Arcade ) got shut down and MvC2 used to be played there a lot, Neo use to play there. it got replaced with a gamestop lol.
And in 2020, gamestop is at the end of its lifeline lol

Was there a time when MSP was considered the best team without contest?
Not strongly. The game is balanced enough at the top that if you can block MSP you've got a pretty good game.
One team I front is Anakaris/Iron Man/CapCom, and i've been able to shave games off MSP.

Top tier characters. I would switch out Magneto for Jill or Ken but Magneto is more fluid for this team
