Evans is doing so well individually and so well on that 4th line with Armia and Heinema that it would be a mistake to trade him. If he gets traded, it will effect the Habs in the long run, especially the PK
This seems like a Dale Weise situation. I like Evans but there's no way he can keep his current pace. He's a 30-40 points player. If we can sign him as that, let's go. If he asks for too much money trade him.
Just waiting for the first “I’d give them Simon Nemec” comment. These guys, don’t understand just how talented Nemec really is. He WILL be a bona fide 1st line defender, and WILL be considered a defensive superstar.
So what does Montreal get back? In all of the trade ideas on all pod casts all say I would like this guy, that guy but never hear nothing coming back to the habs. Montreal needs Jake, he ws on the 2021 team, very few veterans left. We need him. No trade Kevin
Unless it's an amazing offer or Evens just wants too much money/term to re-sign, I'd love to keep him. He, along with Armia and Anderson are a big reason the Habs currently have a top 10 PK at 84.9%. If all 3 of them would stay on with reasonable contracts, I'd be OK with that. Savard, I think, will be going and I don't see Dvorak staying either.
It would be insane to sign a bottom 6 player for 6 years, that would be managing by emotion. Hughes will look at his play over the last 3 years to evaluate not just the last 2 months. 3 year deal I would say, 4 max if its a low annual value.
You think Evans is worth a 1st and a mid-prospect?! Try a 3rd and a decent prospect.. a late 2nd at most, asking for anything more the other GM is laughing in your face and then hanging up.
Evans for Silayev is fair , Jake Evans is so complete , he’s the next Danaullt. This guy is the perfect player for any team trying to win the cup, at the deadline his salary will be almost nothing , great faceoff guy and arguably the best PK center in the league
Honestly they do not have anything worth it. A 1st would not be enough as we need a player too. Nemec alone in a way is not enough. Possibly a package of Nemec + 1st for Jake and a 2nd or something. But yeah ideally we would want a good young center.
Guys he’s in a contract year putting up solid middle 6 production. You want like Nemec a former 2nd overall pick AND more for him. Look he’s good for sure, but man we gotta chill with these takes
@@massimocinelli9771 I am not saying he is worth that. I am saying that might be what it cost for MTL to say yes. Otherwise we should keep him if we can get him for a half decent contract.
We already have right def man Reinbacher why Nemec ? We need a forward. Hughes should avoid trading with New Jersey or Colorado, he always loses agajnst them. Trade for Elias Pettterson we need a legit no 1 center.
I would love to see Petterson in Montreal but it's gonna be a tough one. You would need to offer a juicy bundle for the guy and Vancouver are not looking for picks, they wanna win now.
No way! Montreal has to keep him. He's doing great and is underrated in several aspects of his plays.
He's a 4th line player who's playing over his head. His value is at its highest it will ever be.
Owen Beck , what do you do with him ? He’s pushing now . In two years ?
@@johnjoy423 I'd use him to replace Dvorak. In my opinion, he's less valuable than Jake Evans.
Montreal will never trade Jake Evans. End of story.

Evans is the RISEBOREAU of this generation and with Armea the best 4th line in hockey. if you want a cup you need this quality of player.

Montreal has a log jam at defense. I would be shocked if they asked for him.
@@captainmofongo584 package Evans and Mailloux for Nemec, might make sense
@@captainmofongo584Mercer.
@@captainmofongo584 Hard to have any faith in the RD prospects though. Reinbacher, Mailloux and Konyushkov don't look like top 4 guys atm.
Nemec disappointed in my fantasy pool lol
NJ isn’t trading Nemec for anyone not named JT miller

What does "go out there" mean?
Update there is no update
Let's just regurgitate what others are saying
Dowling is filling for Eric Haula who normally is 3C
Keep Evans!!
Habs can always trade him & sign him July 1st
good job Lego
He’s not up for a trade
Jake Evan’s is a player you need on your team to win the cup. Way too valuable to trade. There is plenty of players to trade before him
Savard and Pezzetta will be traded long before Evans.
Eff them , we keep him , 3.8 for 6 years , sign at the bottum , thank you

Evans & a 2nd for Mercer , laine - Dach-Mercer , Newhook centers line 3 . Beck & Kapanen are really close

DEVILS TRYING HARD AGAIN TO ROB HABS 😅
Evans with an extension plus a couple more pieces for Mercer. Only way I’d move Evans.

Take him, please.
He’s been one of the habs biggest assets for years. Why the hell would you trade him lol
@@weatherboy4647 because he's a UFA and can walk for nothing at the end of the season? do you understand how FA works?
