Landing at Broken Hill Airport & Packsaddle dirt Airstrip and 1 night at Packsaddle Roadhouse

2 years ago when I started flying again my instructors asked me what I wanted to do once I got my pilots license. The first thing was to fly to the outback and have a beer and a steak. Two things I really don’t ever have. So I grabbed my mate and co-pilot Nicky boy and flew 1/3 of the way across Australia to Packsaddle (population 87) and the Roadhouse. After the staff did their Roo Run (clearing kangaroos from the runway) we landed successfully. Got my beer and my steak! So good! Nicest staff and people ever at the Packsaddle Roadhouse.
