Hi Chris! Not sure if I was brave or stupid LOL! The rest will be filmed once my plaster is off but I won't be going down those steps again any time soon LOL! Hugs to you too 🤗😘
I sure hope that you are healing up well. I could hear the pain in your voice as you were walking around after you broke your foot. You are a strong woman!
I've never broken a bone before and was convinced I'd just sprained it badly 🙄 despite hearing it break ( I now know that's what the noise was!) I will find out next week if I'm healed 🤞🥰
Oh Jan that must have been painful for you, I remember when I broke my ankle I could not put any weight on it, so hats off to you girl. Loving your videos and hope you get better soon.
What a lovely garden - it must be spectacular when in full bloom - so many functional seating and activity areas in and around the animals. Is this an actual working hobby farm attached to the chateau or just a tourist destination? OH MY! What a nasty slip! No wonder you broke your foot. OUCH. I can hardly imagine your pain threshold - you must have been in shock to carry on like that! Jan, did you go to the hospital? (I should wait until the end of the video to comment - you answered my question). Same cast that I had except I chose black plaster so the dirt wouldn't show when I limped around my property thinking (LOL!) I could garden. Thanks for the tour and for sharing your experience. It is a perfect time to craft because you will have weeks and weeks of very limited mobility! Take care!
Hi Fema, The Rosarie is absolutely beautiful when it is at its best! The area where the chickens and goats are is not in the chateaux grounds, it just happens to be next to the Rosarie Garden. It is possible I was in shock as you say but do also have quite a high pain threshold. How on earth did you think you would be able to garden with your foot in plaster ??! It is the perfect time to do some crafting but I have to remember to ask Duncan to bring what I want down from the loft/attic. 🙄😂 Thanks again Fema ♥
It was a bit like watching a suspenseful movie knowing something was about to happen but it was a lovely tour up to your dreadful injury. I really appreciate the French translations. I don’t speak French but reading them is a good start.
Hi Nola , LOL! My friend said the same, she expected me to fall in the Rosarie. I will finish the tour once I am out of plaster but I most definitely not be going via those steps! I hope the French is helpful to some. Thank you for watching, 😘❤️
That was a big tumble you took , I had shivers down my spine when you fell. Not that long ago a medical person told me that when you are under 60 years of age you "fall over" and when you are older you "have a fall" sounds more ominous I suppose. Thanks for the garden tour such a beautiful spot.
Hi Maxine, It felt more like a stumble, I didn't fall right down, my foot seemed to give way. I think I stepped on a wobbly stone and lost my footing. It hurt plenty! take care 🥰
Oh gosh!! Well done for keeping going.. You sound quite composed considering! Despite the slightly dreary summer the town looks beautiful and the little park area with the animals and plants is charming. You can tell how much rain you've had by the overgrowth of everything. The large ferns remind me of here in Wales!! You are very blessed to live in such a beautiful part of France. Having said that there is no part of France that isn't beautiful ❤ Have a good day Jan x
I'm a keep calm at the time person in any situation Janine, then I just fall apart later lol! I won't say what I shouted when I walked through our front door🤯😬🤣
Good to see the changes gor the animals at Lassey. Now I can see why you didn't film any of the médiéval garden. I can't believe you carried on filming after breaking your foot. That is dedication to your craft, well beyond the call of duty. Hope it is hearing well.
Lol! yes filming became a little difficult! I couldn't see the entrance to the medieval garden! if I'd found it I might not have broken my foot🙄 Nevermind it has given me lots of time to make notes about future vlogs. 🥰❤️
Thank you anibjornson 🥰 So did you buy the house of Kath - just guessing. If I'd gone via medieval garden I might not be limping today 🙄 you must pm / email your door number! If I'd known I could have limped over to you 🤣 Thanks for watching 🥰
Wow, are you tough! I once tripped myself on the water hose in the yard (yes, it is possible to see stars!) and stopped everything to whine about it. I bruised the "patellar tendon" enough that it bothered me for 8-9 months - I know, because I was potty-training and had to be on my knees all day, every day. Then, 20 years later, I tripped in new gravel and landed with one hand on a sack of canned goods. That time, I put down the groceries, took off rings, and went straight to an urgent care center. That hand was useless for days, and took almost a year to heal. The specialist had no advice other than to wait. I never could have done anything if I had broken a foot bone!
LOL! We all cope differently Lisa. As I say, these things make us stronger.None of us really know how we will deal with things and I have been tested over the last 3yrs and surprised myself. I did wonder what you meant when I first read you were potty training lol! Take care Lisa ❤️
Hi S Mz, I feel fine in myself, just keeping my fingers crossed I will have my plaster cast off next week. Hope my tumble didn't spoil your viewing. take care ❤️
Hello speedy recovery is sent. Come back to visit to see how your filming is going and much better indeed. I'M sure it's all confusing and you're braver than I am, even trying to do a you-tube is scary and I stopped after buying everything. When you can get a stabilizer and when showing flowers and things go a bit slower so we can admire at ease with our eyes. You're doing much better than when you started, do keep going on and soon you will be a professional I"M waiting to see that with excitement. Be wishes stay well I admire you.
Thanks, I assume you are telling me the spelling of ordonnance? I thought I had corrected that. Unfortunately our French neighbours have never corrected us with our pronounciation, so we have never corrected ourselves. Must remember that. 😁
Thank you for sharing the lovely chateau gardens. Sending healing energy your way.
You are welcome Katherine B. Healing energy received and hopefully working! xx
Hope you are healing well!
I do hope so too, thank you MsSherryjh. 🥰😘
The Rosarie and chateau were beautiful. So sorry about your foot. Hope it heals up soon Jan.
Thank you Judith, you will see the rest of the chateau and town when I am free if my plaster. ❤️
Sue Hall
You must have a very high pain level thanks for the tour
As we now know you have to stay off you foot
Love Sue❤❤❤🇬🇧❤❤❤☕🍰💐
Thanks Sue. my pain threshold by is pretty high but that really did hurt! ❤️ 🥰😘
Such dedication to videoing duty! “I’ll just carry on filming with this broken foot!!”
Unknowingly LOL! I love to vlog, what can I say ☺️
Beautiful place and you were really brave to carry on. Hugs x

Thank you Jean. That's the difficult part not being able to put any weight on it, I hate being incapable. 😔take care ❤️

@@FOPYSFrance LOL! I "thought' I would be able to hobble around and do anything. I was so wrong! Live and learn. ha! ha!
@@FOPYSFrance just so you know, my real name is Renee.
The chicken bridge is so cute!! Thanks for taking us around - I loved it! I cannot believe you kept going... rest up and heal!
It is isn't it?! You are welcome, I love showing everyone. Thanks for watching, enjoy! take care 😘🥰
Also, although it was a lovely vid of La Rosarie I was on tender hooks all the way round, waiting for you to slip!
lol! no that was well before! xx
Thanks for taking us to such a lovely garden. Rest and follow doctors orders and hopefully you will take us on new adventures in the near future.
That's is the plan Barbara 🥰

Sorry about your foot, wishing you a speedy recovery. The video was enjoyable as always!
Thank you very much Janice 🥰

@@FOPYSFrance Thanks! I just wanted you to realize how totally much more tough you are than I am!
Oh Jan, how did you carry on filming after slipping, it is such a painful injury. So than yu for sharing the video, it is a beautiful area.
I think I thought walking about a bit might make it better ?!!! 🙄 You are welcome 🥰❤️
Ugh! That fall took my breath away just watching and hearing that!
How long before you should be all better?

Just FYI prescription is 'ordonnance' & 'potager' is phonetically pronounced 'pota-jay' not pota-jer ;-)
