We used to pick them up on the beach on Guam. WE called them Cats Eyes. I always liked them when I was little. So pretty. They are like little doors they shut to keep them safe as Nina said.
I’m just starting the video but I have to go ahead and say -Rachel that hat was meant for you - it’s perfect - not too bold - looks great on you ! Definitely a keeper and suits your style ! I love to wear hats as well !
❤❤I loved seeing the different things that you bought, especially the pottery. I love that kind of pottery and I pick it up whenever I can. I loved the whole video. Great job Rachel.
We seriously have the same style - i have a collection of studio pottery, when i find a good deal i cannot pass it up, haha. I also love those Florentine toleware pieces, they sell so well for me. You found some amazing pieces at the thrift for such a steal! And the rock crystal necklace- stunner!!
That ODL is yummy and timeless!!! You are so right about the faking era! The 90's is the era that the military noticed fakes and had super crazy rules on fakes and they seized them in luggage, moving items, military transport, etc. So many military bought them for the women in their lives and did not know they were fakes. Oh, but we as a family were talking about glass as diamonds goes back to Roman times, and in the1800's Egypt selling fake gold and artifacts.
Operculum is the little trap door on a Gastropod seashell (such as a conch) that a live seashell animal closes for protection.
so interesting! thanks for sharing!
