Once I decided to carry less stuff and fewer cards I love my Rose Anvil wallet. The candle remark is the reason to teach. It does not diminish you but it builds the student. At age 70 I am trying to give what I have learned away as much as possible.
I’ve been a big fan of Craft and Lore for several years now. Their products and craftsmanship are top notch. I own the Port Wallet and it has improved with age. Great company.
Thanks for sharing that experience. These videos as well as your comments are definitely meant to help people form their own opinions. I appreciate it.
It's your channel. Do what you want to do with it. I'm enjoying these leather working vids / reviews. I know nothing about leather and know a little more now
I really love the videos where you take apart wallets, they are actually what got me to subscribe. I love how honest you are about them. You are doing what I wish I could do by taking them apart and seeing what makes the tic. Thanks!
Man, I wish I could do more than like & sub; you're one of the most genuine, & genuinely interesting maker channels out there. If your Dublin Hika's weren't sold out I'd have me one of those bad boys!

Just found your channel today and you're an awesome guy! I've always been interested in the quality/materials used in products , so this is right up my alley. I also love buying products from lesser known brands that actually make good products unlike mass produced stuff. Keep it up!
You may not get sales! but you are getting lots of love! Hats off to that! I run my own brand of leather wallets but still learn from your videos. Thanks!
Dude I'm glad you do these videos. I actually bought that Amazon wallet you reviewed. I was just looking for something that was real leather and cheap. Believe it or not it was cheaper than my faux leather billabong wallet I had which was even worse quality than that
More small leatherworking company wallet reviews, please. Your reviews are top notch. Really comprehensive. I like these videos more than cutting shoes in half. (although that is cool)
Good review , I do like the simple design. My suggestion for your graph is. Rose Anvil Wallet Construction Understanding Score or RAWCUS. Hope you and Toaster are both feeling better now.
@@RoseAnvil I'd love to see you cut open a set of Nick's Handmade boots. Their joint venture boot with Craft and Lore, the Task boot would be a great pick. Not cheap though, but a great way to turn people on the more handmade products.
You should definitely take a look at a Benjamin Bott wallet sometime man, a little pricier than this offering but straddles the rugged / refined line nicely depending which wallet you choose.
I miss these. Don't get me wrong... I really enjoy all of your content but I like how something so simple as a wallet can have so much variation in quality and design. I learned a lot during the wallet series.
I'm really enjoying your content. The candle analogy is spot on, shows a great deal of humility. I wish a speedy recovery to Toaster, he did look pretty out of it getting home lol.
There is a company called Gatner that rates IT equipment on the same type of graph, they call it the "Magic Quadrant". Maybe call it the "Wonder Quadrant" or something.
Wishing a fast recovery for Toaster. Not only that im enjoying seeing the progess of your channel and becoming a bigger name ! Maybe have the graph be called a RAWR Graph. (Rose Anvil Wallet Review) I think its cool :)
Hey Man! Love your job, thanks for your informative videos! Could it be possible to have your review about some high-end leather goods like Montblanc, Louis Vuitton, Ferragamo or Gucci? I would like to know your opinion about their craftsmanship, or if those are just marketing and branding. See you in your next video!
I've just ordered some leather scraps and waxed thread from Amazon and can't wait to get making some cool bits and bobs. I'm also suffering from a cold, everybody seems to have it right now. More leatherwork vids!✨
Awesome video as usual you should next review the Ashland brand of wallets out of Chicago!!!! Or Tanner goods out of Oregon Portland 🤔🤔🤔 or how about a Japanese flathead wallet very expensive?
@@RoseAnvil I own one myself believe it or not expensive but it's truly one of the nicest things I own bought mine from self edge in LA they sell high-end raw denim and Japanese leather goods
I do believe you probably voided the lifetime warranty on the stitching. Congratulations on your first sponsor. Hope to launch my channel soon. Cheers!
This wallet looks rugged, but there is a difference between rugged look and messy making. While this wallet will last, a little more attention would make it even better.
For the life of me I’ll never understand why ppl likes this soft horween leather it’s so soft after a month it’s like a wet paper towel, Veg tan leather still remains the best in my book
It would be great if you make a video reviewing "expensive" wallets like Louis Vuitton or Ferragamo to show the type of leather and the quality they use, to see if they´re expensive only for the brand or the quality of their materials
I’m using the phrase. I used to think of “coopertition”, a cooperative competition, when I was working in the community solar gardens space. Now in massage, I need to refer out. Definitely lighting others’ candles.
This is not leather related but it’d be cool to have a Q&A video about Toaster lol. I’m sure “the people” have questions... like does he eat toast? Also hope he gets to feeling better soon.
No glue used in the wallet at all, which I like. In my own work I try to avoid using glue, even though it would make stitching quite a lot easier most of the times. No real reason to avoid using glue to be honest.. other than some personal quirks.

The beauty of this simple wallet is that you can restitch and reuse after the tear down.
Yeah! As a leather worker he is able to restitch this wallet and sell it.
It's not all that hard to stitch leather
I mean you can re-stitch a machine sewn wallet as well so what is your point?
@@AlexanderMason1 its a lot harder, machine sewed from a big box store is virtually impossibale
@@RorytheRoman that is not true at all
