Great video! I've been to the top of Angel Peak once, but based on your footage & my recollection of the trail, it seems I may have reached the top from a different direction/trail - from Corn Creek up Lucky Strike Canyon, at least that's what I remember. Either way, a fun video to watch! Keep up the goodness!
We did go up from the Kyle Canyon side, but as you said, you can approach from Lucky Strike as well. Thanks so much for watching!
@@JKsouthwest Ah good to know I have another option, another trail to check out, thanks! Maybe see you out on the trail sometime…
What road did you turn in from kyle canyon side?
@@josephsahagun7902 We accèss the trail of Telephone Canyon Road. Thanks for watching!
Nice video. Loving the tj. Running this tomorrow with my kids tj and my chevy k1500
Should be a fun day, especially with the recent snow! The TJ is always popular whenever we hit the trail. Be sure to check out next weeks video as the same TJ will be back in action.
Awesome video bill, sorry took me so long to watch!
Congrats almost to 300!!!! 🙌🙌🙌
Thanks so much for watching!
I just make the videos for fun and to remember the trips we go on. I hope other people enjoy watching them too.
That looks like a fun easy trail with some amazing views!
NotICON It is a great trail to eacape some desert heat. From the top you can see the Las Vegas strip off in the distance, maybe next time the haze from the fires in California wont be so bad.
Replying on 2022, the one part around minute 4 is pretty perilous, with recent rains is pretty steep as well.
How ironic. We did that Saturday but we came up through corn creek and went down the way you came up. The other way is a large hill most of our group had issues. I put it in 4 low and lockers. Although i slipped a little i made it no issues. We had a member lose 2 bolts, sheard one and bent the last one so we had to leave his truck over night. If you ever leave a vehicle leave a note with date and time.
Mike Billing It is a great local trail. I have been the way you went, but avoided it this time to make sure everyone in our group could get through.
Good tips about leaving a vehicle. Thanks so much for watching!
Beautiful views, looks like a great day on the trail.
Thanks for watching! This was not a difficult trail, just some loose and steep climbs. But at 9,000 feet in elevation you do get some pretty good views!
The trail looks great, I wonder why it’s a challenge rating of 5/10. Do you think a stock (just no lift) 4Runner with AT tires can make it?
The trail is a very loose and steep climb, but there are really no obstacles that would prevent you from making it in a 4runner. Thanks for watching!
Awesome! Thank you for the reply! Nice rigs by the way.
Great video. Thanks so much for sharing. We have a 2018 Rubicon JK but are thinking of getting a JL.
Thanks so much for the kind words! The new JLs sure are nice, I am sure you will be happy with one.
Nice, do you think a stock 4Runner TRD Pro can make it up there?
A stock 4Runner will have no problems on this trail. Thanks so much for watching!
Looks fun will a stock 3rd gen taco 4x4 able to handle this
You should be fine in a stock tacoma. It is a fun trail with some great scenery. Thanks so much for watching!
Looks like a great Trail!
It is a great trail to get to some higher elevations and escape the desert heat! Thanks so much for watching!
Love the Jeeps and the Toyota👍
WTF The Toyota did great!
Nice video, love the views, I have a stock willys jl, do you think I can make it through? Thanks
A stock JL will have no problems on this trail. Thanks so much for watching!
Right after this was filmed, it seems they build a guard rail and chained off the exit to the pavement.
If they blocked access to the pavement at the top by the boys camp, you can still go past the antennae arrays and follow another route out. Thanks so much for watching!
You think a 2019 f250 would have any problems?
Thanks so much for watching! The trail is basically a long steep climb on loose rock. If your F250 has 4WD and a good set of all terrain tires, then you will probably make the climb. The trail does get narrow on the last 1/3 with pinion and juniper trees on both sides, so you may get some brush pinstripes.
@@JKsouthwest I just moved to Vegas two months I’m ready to get out and hit some trails!
Nice, Keep it up!. Please visit Palawan the top island you must have on your bucket list.
CMTVPALAWAN Thanks, i will have to look it up!
Not sure if you will read this, its been a few years, but did you air down? And if you did what did you air down to? Thanks!
I always air down off road, even if the trail is not technical. Besides the added traction that you get, it makes for a softer ride and helps prevent punctures. And I usually air down to somewhere between 15-18 psi. Thanks so much for watching!
@@JKsouthwest Thank You for replying!
@@pacemparabellum245 Thanks again for watching!
Nice video. It didn't look to intense from the parts I saw, but do you think that trail is doable in a stock JL?
A stock JL can definitely make the trip. There is a chance for some desert pin striping as the trail can get narrow in some some places. Thanks so much for watching!
@@JKsouthwest Pin stripes? Sounds good to me. Thanks, be safe
Awesome video. I'm definitely doing this. Could you provide the specs of the rigs?
Thanks so much for watching! The JK has a 3.5" lift on 35s. The TJ has a 4" lift on 33s. And the Tacoma has a 3" lift on 32s.
@@JKsouthwest
Keep the vids coming. I love it! Sweet rigs. Looked like a fun trail and all 3 of you ate it up. I'm also planning on a 3" lift with 32's.
@@nopavementplease6158 Thanks again! I am glad you enjoy the videos, there are plenty more to come! Sounds like a good plan for your vehicle. Do you have a Jeep? Toyota?
@@JKsouthwest
Good morning JK. I have neither. I have a Sport Trac. I sort of inherited it, so I'm turning it into a weekend offroad vehicle. It's in great shape; 15 years old with 93k miles. I also have a Subaru, which was originally going to be the offroad project, until I got the Sport Trac.
@@nopavementplease6158 Awesome, the SportTrac or the Subaru can both take you far. For most trails, it really doesn't matter what vehicle you have, you just need to be willing to go!
Do you like the Bilsteins for on and off road?
I have really liked the Bilsteins. I find them to be a very comfortable shock that performs well on and off road. They are probably the best shock you can get for the price. If you like to bomb through the desert, baja style, then I would suggest something with an external resevoir. But for street and trail use, the Bilsteins can't be beat for the money.
Do you think a stock AWD 5th Gen RAV4 can do this?
I wouldn’t feel comfortable in a RAV4, it is a steep, loose climb up the mountain. Thanks so much for watching!
Do you recommend this trail for a Tundra off road?
A Tundra can make the climb to the top. The only caveat, the trail gets narrow with brush, so you may get some pinstriping with the wider Tundra. Thanks so much for watching!
@@JKsouthwest I appreciate the info Thanks.
