Hi, I'm an art student and i'm trying to create patterns for interior wallpaper (Damask, regal ect.) . So this video was perfect to save time and reflect all my drawings on the wacom. But after i have designed the shape with the transformation technique in this video, the pattern tool only repeats the strokes i have drawn for the shape not the whole design. Please help!! Your videos are one of the best on youtube I have learnt off, THANK YOU :)
I wonder why this doesn't work with me. I have undergone more than 5 tutorials about reflecting but I end up making a new path that have its own reflection not based on the center.
Can you tell me how you are able to get the dots to be various sizes, I set my pen to pressure but all the dots are the same size, using the same 5pt round brush, uniform, this is around 5:12 on the butterfly. I know how to make the dots variable with a brush made from a blend, but you are making them individually in the video. Another great tutorial, Thanks
+dagubi Thanks for the response, I thought I had the variation set to 5 pt as well but it wasn't. Had to set my pressure in the Wacom preferences as well to get better dots but it works. Thanks again, I always get something out of your tutorials.
Hi, Thank you for showing us something useful. I tried it but in my case, it's not working as it should work, it's working fine only when I draw the line from one side of the box to another side otherwise it does not mirror the line. I hope you read my message and give me some suggestions.
+dagubi Hi. Yes I aware of that feature but maybe you were just using them as a guide because you lowered the opacity to 7% and then deleted them at the end around 9:54. I had not considered using boxes as guides. Thanks.
Why does the box have 3 sections? can u pls explain this. Not explaining really minor steps like this and just going through it as if evryonw has your knowledge and expertise rlly throws people off. So confused..
So can you share with us at least the feather brush? for free? or do we have to buy everything you show us? I know you might make money out of this but if you want to expand further on TH-cam, you should at least share 1 out of the 10 things with your viewers/subs so you show them you are willing to help? Its like I click the first link then 2nd one then the 3rd one and it sends me to a website to buy brushes, all I want is these feathers since no matter how hard I tried to make them, I still cant get them this good. Thank you anyways.
hi~ i love your tutorial. But i am doing it wrong. But idk what. when i draw it does not reflect my right drawing to the left - like placing a big mirror. instead, it is reflecting my stroke. it just kept duplicating at the point i draw rather than the opposite - like yours.
+dagubi hey i did try to refollow multiple times just didnt know what i miss. found out later i didnt select the whole layer instead i select the sub layer thats why ot didnt work. thought others might face same issue.

you should try applying the transform effect on the layer where the box belongs so it will apply to all sub-layers that you will create as you draw.
