I-LAND is really good! And many of the contestants who didn’t make it were able to debut in different groups, so if you get attached to another contestant, you may be able to see them still pursuing their dreams! There’s many iconic moments in the show, and I’d be very interested in watching your reaction!
Definitely should watch Iland…. Get into enhypen and then the howling to see how &team was formed to be the first hybe japan boys group and has 4 members who were also in Iland !
You were right, Heeseung the one with the perfect pitch (and oldest of the group) is very good at imitating various people and sounds and was voted many time as the funniest of the group by the members. His level in music is quite high, he is the oldest and plays the role of unofficial performance director and directed the recording and made vocal arrangements in their last album. It's not shown in this content but he is also high level in rapping. He also credited for most of their adlibs and background vocal in all their albums. He plays guitar and piano and wins half of the time when they compete with anything in their content (sport, gaming and even quiz): he is obviously good at everything, a true Ace. They are all amazing and very talented. This guide is already quite long and the editor made choices obviously, of course anyone could have focus on more for each member.
Basically the jungkook of enhypen… but heeseung is the oldest not the youngest. Jungkook is my ult and heeseung is my enhypen bias…. The similarities really stuck out to me often and think that’s why he’s my bias lol
Jungkook is a great dancer but heeseung is a better dancer with more traditional dance training… but heeseung dances like if you took jhope (crazy flexibility and isolations) and jimin (powerful control w the most fluidity I have ever seen) and smashed them together. Especially the latest comebacks especially. He’s always been good… but wow…. He’s mesmerizing! Especially with that blond/silver/white hair…. Wow

To give more info on Sunghoon: Yes he's a graceful dancer (as expected from his figure skating background) but he is actually very versatile, he's good at powerful choreo and popping too. Sunghoon was the 7th best male figure skater in Korea at one point, he continued skating until he reached the highest figure skating level of 8. He also skated while being an idol trainee at bighit simultaneously for 2 years before making the final decision to retire as a skater. Personality wise, he's a shy introvert and he actually started figure skating because his parents were worried about him not having friends bcs of his anxiety. No he's not the Music Bank host anymore (he was the host for 1 year), but he personally auditioned to became the host because he wanted to challenge himself with public speaking. But with his members, he's very talkative and cracks a lot of jokes:) He likes to tease his members, and can be very loud. But on the other side, he can often be seen in his own world and he zones out a lot
Sunoo did have health issues so many of us worry about him. He missed their first Kcon in LA and is not in the Japanese MV version for Future Perfect Pass the mic due to health problems. Because of that he can be very emotional about his connection to fans and his brothers in Enhypen and they in turn are always looking out for him and taking care of him.
I think Jay's love language is giving gifts and cooking for the members, he always cooks for them in important moments

Heeseung was not meant debuting with TXT. He didn't know how to dance as he wanted initially to be a singer. During 15 months he practised basic movements.

There were different rooms for different ranks and at the time Heeseung was in the top3 rank and had the best room that's why Jay says he's gonna take his bed

I-land is a good one to watch to get to know them better. It has the same cons as other survival show, evil editing and all, but maybe because there are less contestants you get to know the participants better and it feels more like watching drama than just a survival show haha. Also the voting is done by judges and global audience so I feel like it is less biased. Probably the only show where all of my picks made it to the final line-up. The other participants are all also full of talents and a lot of them have debuted in other great groups!
Your guess about Heeseung being good at mimicking is accurate haha. ENHYPEN is a perfect example of a group full of loud introverts. I apologize for the loudness. 😂 Also, Enhypen is just that group where the members does everything. Our guesses would just be wrong regardless haha
53:53 txt and enhypen performed together doing something like “legends of kpop ” kinda thing and did little parts of songs that were big hits mixed in together , in their actual groups and then all of them ended off doing the “fire” BTS choreo as the finale…. This was from that. They were running on and off stage changing outfits and stuff it was nuts they did like 7 songs or something? It’s really cool and there’s like behind the scenes which is really cute bc they don’t all know one another and they were awkward first and kinda kept to their own group members at first…. But then they slowly started mixing together as they went along and they were like besties by the end of it lol so that’s fun to see.
You're right... Jake, Bang Chan and Felix are now close friends... Bang Chan said before on his live that Jake texted him to tell that the performance of Stray Kids was amazing, they met also in Music Bank Paris they hug each other and their last Music Show together Jake and Bang Chan interact again... Jake also mentioned on his one of his interview in an Australian News program that he learned a lot to Felix and Bang Chan, he said also that they're close friends...

Jay the second oldest is not the introverted one or shy to the contrary. They re is only two E in this group and he is one of the two along with Sunoo... Of course it's all related to the editor choices...Jay is also very interrested in speaking languages and he is very good in japanese (with korean and english obviously) and tried to learn french...He also began recently to be a stage musician since he is playing guitar in their concert.

Yes Jake is the shorter member of the group (5"9 to 6"1 for Ni-ki now) and Stray Kids are really shorter (5"6 to 5"10,5)
actually jake usually speaks english for them in interviews and he also pronounces enhypen with an f sound while speaking in english but ph sound while they speak korean
I missed you! Thanks for taking a deeper dive into Enhypen. I love them all, but Sunghoon and Jungwon are duking it out for my bias. I-land is SOOO worth it. It’s the best K-pop competition show I’ve seen.

I watched this earlier on patreon and I think you asked how tall Bang Chan was since he looked short in the picture next to Jake, so he's actually 5'7, all of Stray Kids are pretty short especially compared to a lot of other boy groups.
Also, I would recommend watching I-Land if you want to, I don't think the editing was THAT bad and it could help you get to know their journey :)

Why is no one talking about Heeseung's rap? He was originally training to rap, but he became the main vocal for the reason that they needed him to play this role because he had the best vocal among them, but we were able to hear his rap many times, such as the cover of Drop and Blockbuster at the concert. It must be defined that he is ACE for a reason.Thank you for the reaction
Jay is E type, an extrovert cause he likes to interact with people but he is also very introspective that's why he seems to be quiet and calm, he is very mature and also very sweet and caring

Though they have no position, Heeseung having the best vocals is their main vocalist and Ni-ki the main dancer based on their skills.
Heeseung is also voted the funniest amongst the members. 😊

11:06 - Jungwon is the second youngest member and at the time of their debut was the youngest leader ever! just proves how responsible and reliable he is at such a young age ^-^
20:05 - Heeseung had a very big reputation by the time he was on iland cuz of his time w txt, he was certainly among one of the final lineups for txt which consisted of 6 members but unfortunately got cut and didn’t debut. Rather than feelings of jealousy like u mentioned i feel it was more disappointment that he couldn’t debut WITH them since we see him interact w them and they seem to be super close
34:50 - Jay was sort of a victim to mnet editing, though not entirely. He was just unlucky i suppose and ended up being put in losing battles but i 100% agree w ur take on his mentality. His determination allowed fans to see part the sort of rude (?) persona mnet portrayed him as at times, his leadership skills and especially his bond with jungwon seemed to further showcase his caring personality. Also everyone was shocked bc of low votes that put him underground- meaning if he didn’t make the cut then he would be out of the show and he was real close to almost getting kicked
36:08 - in iland there were 2 buildings/living spaces, iland, which was nice and had spacious rooms for sleeping eating and training, and the underground which was dark and overall quite cruel, the trainees which were send to the ground were basically done for, and the final lineup would consist of those who remained at the top)

48:17 - initially jake didn’t know korean, struggled w dance and stage presence, and lacked vocal stability. If u watch the show which i hope u do, it will show u his growth bc aint no way is he the same person its crazy how much he improved thru the years
59:34 - Sunghoon was absolutely a great skater, he was a mini celebrity even before kpop. it is even speculated that he would’ve represented sk in the winter olympics had he not quit to train as an idol. Which just explains his desperation thru the show to make the team, he had sacrificed his career and it would’ve been for nothing if he didn’t make the cut
- enha is a very hiphop based group, so much so that the few complaints ppl had abt iland were that ut felt more like a dance competition than an idol survivalist show (which i can see what they mean), which is why all of them are very good dancers soooo in conclusion watch iland 🤞🤞🤞
The heeseung thing is totally wrong, he wasn't considered to be in the lineup, he entered bighit when txt was already set as a lineup, is just that they trained together bc bighit at that time didn't have enough space to fit the debut lineup and the other trainees in different rooms
Heeseung is my bias but each has the ability to bias wreck me lol main bias wreckers are Jake and the ice prince Sunghoon. I’m sure it would be niki if it he wasn’t a literal child when I started seeing him

I-Land has some shady editing, but it's limited if compared with other shows. About getting attached to people who didn't make it... You can tell the pre-selection made for candidates was top notch because a lot of the guys who didn't make the cut lready debuted in other bands
Their positions after each quest determines their bed numbers. The higher, the more perks.

When i was in music class in my school (an extra class called "coro" in spanish) the teacher always had to sing the notes next to me for me to get them right bcoz when all the students sang together i didn't knew wich note was the correct one. Based on that I guess I just need to learn the notes to have perfect pitch or similar to that hehe

answering your questions :)
-as someone who watched iland as it was happening 3 years ago, to me at least, it was more less obvious who will make it into the group based on the hype online and the global voting.
-the show isnt that bad with the editing (it is mnet, since mnet is a CJ E&M tv channel, CJ own 52-53% of en- while hybe owns 47-48%). the worst of the "evil" editing is in the first 2 episodes i'd say, and then there's an instant later on, but it isnt much compared to other mnet shows.
-most of the trainees from the show have debuted already in different groups, so even if you get attached to those who were eliminated, chances are that trainee debuted already. if you watch this later, i'll just say im waiting for daniel to debut, and im hoping it'll happen within this year in the pledis new boy group. that's the rumor for him.
-heeseung was never supposed to debut with txt. he just trained with them for some time.
-for that jay clip, when he wrote letters: there was a midpoint ranking that was revealed to them, and jay placed last, which is why he wrote the letters. when he was revealed as 3rd (coming up from 11th), everyone, including him, were surprised.
-sunoo is in perfect health. he addressed this himself once and said "if i wasnt phisically ready, i wouldnt be able to be an idol", so we shouldnt worry, he is fine :)

I highly recommend watching I-LAND! I’m very fond of that show, because there are not too many contestants and you can get to know and love them all :') I‘ve watched it several times and I always enjoy it a lot.
Super cute video and a lot of work went into it, I could never!!! However I don’t think they understand what “stage presence” really is from the clips they’re using … especially bc I know these boys have extreme stage presence.. there’s some more current clips in some of these so I’m surprised not to see more of their big killing moments stage presence wise

I-land is less dramatic than mnet's usual survival shows but it can be traumatizing (well atleast that's half of the audience felt when they watched it) because of the departure of some contestants.
jay is actually goofy on i-land, the reason why judges were shocked with his rank, was because last test his rank was very low and he even wrote letter just in case he gets eliminate. (but yeah, the plot twist was he got 3rd after, the voting was made by global voting)
for jake, he actually went to korea because he won the audition that was held in australia and got casted for i-land. that's why he mentioned "he travel alone to SK"
the part where you see BTS is a special episode where they answer some concerns of the i-land contestants and they get to share their thoughts on it (they never really met bts face to face due to covid / safety distancing)
AND ni-ki indeed have some special connection with JK when BTS gave them gifts JK gave ni-ki a set of hanbok outfits! This episode was wholesome Af!
heeseung knows that he'll never make it to txt's debut as he joined later after the announcement of debut team for TXT. but they did train for some time and is very close to each other especially beomgyu.

There's not shady drama in iland tbh but there's a HELL LOTTA TRAUMA...so watch at ur own risk😭✌️
i-land is actually pretty decent in terms of shows. The evil editing was there, and obvious, but it's still worth watching. Many of the contestants debuted in other groups since then. Some debuted in &Team, the Japanese HYBE group. If I remember right most of the rage with people who didn't debut on i-land was for K and Taki who debuted with &Team and for me they both needed that little bit extra time between EN- debut and &T debut. Taki was a baby still and he hit puberty twice in that time between, and K was done dirty by the show and some social media posts right when the show was ending that affected his voting, but I feel like it was for the best. Another favourite was Hanbin who again was awesome but needed a bit more rounding skills wise, and has since debuted with Tempest.
I think there was a bunch of surprises with the voting weekly on i-land because they way they did it was weird. The voting for each round alternated between member and producer voting one week, and worldwide voting the next. The members and producers had wildly different favourites than the public, so the top whatever number was constantly changing. And yes, the bed thing, 1st place got the best bed, and I think top 3 got best room, 4,5,6 got a less nice room, 7,8,9 less nice again, 10,11,12 you get it, and anyone lower than 12th was staying in dorms offsite.
…I can’t believe I witnessed you becoming a SONE and an ENGENE 😭 And I-LAND is actually a good survival show to watch but it’s really heartbreaking for me to watch the boys get through all that. 😢

If you enjoyed that song, it would be cool if you checked out the original at some point, Block B were legendary especially in terms of hip hop (they're technically not disbanded but haven't been active for years).

Also Ni-Ki is obviously the Main Dancer in this group also is one of the dance prodigy in the whole kpop industry, he's like on top such as Taemin, Kai and co. A very young talented Guy who's growing so fast and finding his own color.
Heeseung is most likely Main Vocalist of the group and I think he's the center of the group if I'm not mistaking it.
About Main Rapper I saw on websites that Jay is the Main Rapper, but then along side with Jake and Ni-Ki, Ni-ki is the one who's rapping a lot in their songs.
But then all of them are all rounders and good at everything and growing together

Well, I actually like when the reactor googles the information because I want to know your complete reaction, but if you wait for us to tell you something, then I won't be getting it. I love your reactions. Keep doing what you're doing. Enhypen is probably my 3rd favorite group. They are very good. Stray Kids would be #2 and the absolutely fabulous SHINee #1.

I-Land was pretty good as far as these reality shows go. BTS was only on one episode but it was great!!! I won’t spoil anything. Key is my bias along with Minho from SHINee. I didn’t know Niki had been a backup dancer for them. That was the sweetest clip of him and Key. Key has a heart of gold he tries to cover with that snarkiness. 🤩 I just love everything about him.

Abt the whole "why only America, Korea, China, Japan, or Australia" thing, that’s because it’s pretty known that those are the countries that work well with most South Korean standards. There have been groups with other countries and ethnicities…they usually don’t work out too well. That’s just how it is, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
Heeseung became a trainee after TXT members were chosen and preparing for debut. Hence, he is freinds with most of TXT members.

I-land is Mnet and definitely had evil editing, especially for the foreign trainees. I think the general consensus is that it was a necessary trial that they had to go through to debut but it was definitely traumatizing, both for the members and the fans. The members have said many times for new fans not to watch it and I'll sometimes go back and watch bits and pieces, like the performances but damn, I can't watch the whole thing in full again because that survival show was so stressful. It was kind of bewildering how &audition, which is the survival program for the new hybe Japan boy group, which includes 4 of the I-land contestants that didn't make it, was so light hearted in comparison.
the only error in the guide is that there is an official position besides the leader and that is the center, which is heeseung, the eldest member of enhypen; I like your genuine reaction to enha
50:36 majority of skz is pretty short lol. both felix and chan are 5'7 . lee know and i.n are both 5'8. han is 5'7 and changbin is 5'6. seungmin and hyunjin are the only tall members of skz. seungmin is 5'10 and hyunjin is 5'10.5
jungwon and jake are the same height (5'9) and the 'shortest' members of enhypen although that isn't even short just average. this guide says sunoo is the same as jake/jungwon but that isn't true he has grown a bit and is now 5'10 and noticeably taller than both jake and jungwon. and for ni-ki we don't have an updated height but he looks to be around 6'1/6'2 atp tbh. heeseung is 6'0 and when he stands next to ni-ki, ni-ki is very noticeably taller than him! an example of that is at 1:19:18 the bottom right picture is ni-ki next to heeseung.
Jungwon said that sunoo is just 1 cm taller than him, Jay is 3
