How could any one not love this, and this young man? Just saying as a grandma, what a sweet wonderful young man. I just love this young man and his song, and how can he not be missed by music lovers?
The gr8 ones are only here for us to have them with us in life temporarily. Marley was one of the gr8 ones. Gone too soon but still his spirit lives on today. I love this song.
His music is timeless and will live on for generations to come, these songs of freedom are his gift to the world so come on people won't you help to sing these redemption songs.
The musical greats of yesteryear turn in their graves when they see what has happened to music these days. I feel privileged to have heard music from a LEGEND like Bob Marley. Very very very few like him. RESPECK!!!
Have no fear of atomic energies for none of them a can a stop our time. How long will they kill our prophets while we stand aside and look? Their brand of hell blindsighted dweebs could not interpret that book. Won't you 'PLEASE!" help me sing deese songs of FREEDOM for all I will ever know, redemption songs!!!
So many people complaining about kids listening to bob marley only when they smoke some weed but if thats how and when they listen to his music then let them be, its keeping Bob's music alive down through another generation and it is very enjoyable when you're high no doubt. I honestly prefer Bob Marley when i'm high because it makes me think about what he sings about during his songs and what right does anyone have to tell someone they can't listen to Bob Mar;ey jst because there stoners ???
Like it was yesterday, said my uncle: "I was standing in line waiting to get in to see Bob Marley & The Wailers, Central Park 1975. A big tall Rasta with a gold tooth, looked at me, smiled and said "come here white boy, I'm going to help you see the face of God today," as he pulled out a big spliff. He took one giant hit saying, "this here is God's herb...all that man made powder it's the devil's work". Several hits later with a big ass smile he said "Now go and tell me if I am right, mon". I bumped into him on the way out. He was holding a giant reel to reel over his head; somehow he was able to get a soundboard recording. Tears were streaming down his face when he saw me and asked "Was I right, mon...was I right?" "Yes", I said..through my own tears. We had both been in the presence of a piece of the puzzle...God, Allah, Buddha, Jesus, Yahweh, Mohammad, Krishnu...the message they carried was compassion, and above all, REDEMPTION. Happy day before Easter!
Bob Marley still lives in the spirit of free, peacefull, lovers and mother nature protectors, brothers and sisters around the world that still feel the positive vibration of its songs, words and melody. The one and only....Bob Marley....
This song wil be heard for many generations and it will last for ever, ever and ever. A great man, a great composer, a man who dreamt of a peaceful and loving world. He will live forever in the heart of all men of good will.
Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery, non but ourselves can free our minds... These are the words of a true genius, which I will never forget Live Forever Bob

At the time Mr. Marley wrote this song, circa 1979, he had already been diagnosed with the cancer in his toe. He completed recording this album in the summer of 1980. This was the last song Marley performed. He sang it from a stool at a show in Pittsburgh on September 23, 1980. On November 4, 1980 he was baptized into the Ethiopian Orthodox Christian Church. When he was buried under Orthodox rites on 21st May 1981 it was with his Bible and his Gibson guitar! Memory Eternal…

Brain cancer isn't caused by smoking weed. And while he may have been a stoner, he was extremely influential and that's why people cry for him. He stood for so many things and against so many things that are wrong with the world.
Most of the people don't know this, but Bob Marley took the bible to his own and our own hearts, minds and bodies, by using his music. He isn't just wise marijuana user, he isn't a pot head, a pot head is a marijuana abuser, Bob Marley is a preacher of the word of God. God is in all religions that don't belong to the Devil, God is One Love for all, all is God. I love Bob Marley, because he taught me God, humanly love, & true music. I shall meet Bob in heaven. ♥✞♬☮
I am thinking the same and what I can tell is just that,Bob Marley, was born to early but his soul live in us and his messages full whit love and peace.Be blessed...

they are presented with some of the finest music in the world, with some of the greatest and most insightful messages they could ever hear in music. If these people choose to ignore the blessings and glory put before them, then we have no reason to be saddled with them. Case closed. We can't change people. They need to want to change themselves.
Every Black person needs to lite up some weed, play this song, remove any hate from your heart, then think of how we are holding ourselves down and how we can bring each other up....then spread the word with your friends and put the plan in motion

Robert Nesta "Bob" Marley, OM (6 February 1945 -- 11 May 1981) was a Jamaican singer-songwriter and musician. He was the rhythm guitarist and lead singer for the ska, rocksteady and reggae band Bob Marley & The Wailers (1963--1981). Marley remains the most widely known and revered performer of reggae music, and is credited with helping spread both Jamaican music and the Rastafari movement to a worldwide audience. Marley's music was heavily influenced by the social issues of his homeland, and he is considered to have given voice to the specific political and cultural nexus of Jamaica. His best-known hits include "I Shot the Sheriff", "No Woman, No Cry", "Could You Be Loved", "Stir It Up", "Jamming", "Redemption Song", "One Love" and, "Three Little Birds",as well as the posthumous releases "Buffalo Soldier" and "Iron Lion Zion". The compilation album Legend (1984), released three years after his death, is reggae's best-selling album, going ten times Platinum which is also one Diamond in the U.S.,and selling 25 million copies worldwide. Bob Marley was born in the village of Nine Mile in Saint Ann Parish, Jamaica as Nesta Robert Marley.A Jamaican passport official would later swap his first and middle names. His father, Norval Sinclair Marley, was a white Jamaican of mixed and English descent whose family came from Essex, England. Norval was a captain in the Royal Marines, as well as a plantation overseer, when he married Cedella Booker, an Afro-Jamaican then 18 years old. Norval provided financial support for his wife and child, but seldom saw them, as he was often away on trips. In 1955, when Marley was 10 years old, his father died of a heart attack at age 70. Marley faced questions about his own racial identity throughout his life. He once reflected: I don't have prejudice against meself. My father was a white and my mother was black. Them call me half-caste or whatever. Me don't dip on nobody's side. Me don't dip on the black man's side nor the white man's side. Me dip on God's side, the one who create me and cause me to come from black and white. The Bob Marley House in Nine Mile is a home that he shared with his mother during his youth Although Marley recognised his mixed ancestry, throughout his life and because of his beliefs, he self-identified as a black African, following the ideas of Pan-African leaders. Marley stated that his two biggest influences were the African-centered Marcus Garvey and Haile Selassie. A central theme in Bob Marley's message was the repatriation of black people to Zion, which in his view was Ethiopia, or more generally, Africa. In songs such as "Black Survivor", "Babylon System", and "Blackman Redemption", Marley sings about the struggles of blacks and Africans against oppression from the West or "Babylon". Marley became friends with Neville "Bunny" Livingston (later known as Bunny Wailer), with whom he started to play music. He left school at the age of 14 to make music with Joe Higgs, a local singer and devout Rastafari. At a jam session with Higgs and Livingston, Marley met Peter McIntosh (later known as Peter Tosh), who had similar musical ambitions. In 1962, Marley recorded his first two singles, "Judge Not" and "One Cup of Coffee", with local music producer Leslie Kong. These songs, released on the Beverley's label under the pseudonym of Bobby Martell, attracted little attention. The songs were later re-released on the box set Songs of Freedom, a posthumous collection of Marley's work. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOB !!! YO.
Many people who listen to Bob don't smoke pot. His kids were not bastards. He was a revolutionary and the reason he died of cancer is because he refused operations.
