Namaste Ma'am Pranam. I highly appreciate your efforts and demonstrating Raag chalan and main phrases. Thank you ma'am. There are very few who explains minutely.
Mam ek request thi kya aap raag Desi ka bhi aesa brief Information wala video upload kar sakti he kya ki raag Desi me taans kese kese bana sakte he please 🙏 meri exam he or mujhse jyada kuch taan ban nahi rahi please mam 🙏
Late Pandit A.T Kannan, Sri Anjan Majumdar, Sri Subhashish Mukhopadhay also learnt many nuances of Raag and Gharana from my husband Sayak Barua of Maihar Gharana
So we’ll explained. Love your videos! Thank you so much Moumita! One Q- is this Palta allowed in this raag- Sa Ga Re Sa, Re Ma Ga Re, so on.. let me know
Very nice demonstration. However, I feel it is better to avoid the movement GmPNS' to avoid the shade of Bihag, though it is said to be permitted in literature. Here is one interesting movement in Gaud Sarang: MP MD PN DP Gm GP MP MD PD MP Gm RG SR SG Rm GP. This can be repeated to create a groove. Another nice movement: ,NS RS GR mG PM DP ND S'N R'S' NS' DN PD MP Gm RG SR. This may be repeated several times. After this, a tihai: (,NS RS GR m- G- - -) --- 3 times.
Yes what you have wrote are all correct.. but let's not frame a Raag into fixed tihais or exact sequence of phrases... my objective is to discuss about the possible phrases .... grammatically which combinations are ok ... the phrases with tivra ma I have already discussed... as per g m P N S is concerned... I have highlighted g m P N S' R' and then to balance it with gaud phrase... now let's leave it to the artist to find the aesthetics by combining the phrases .... however thanks for your insight.
Many phrases of other raagas might come into a Raag but the main ideology should be keeping a balance and proportion so that the other phrases also would feel like part of the Raag... honestly just learning the phrases of a Raag also doesn't allow a person to sing a Raag.... it's the temperament and feel of the Raag which comes after several years
I just shared a few movements which came to my mind. The purpose is not to restrict the movements to the suggested phrases. Tihai is also just a suggestion.
An anecdote that is prevailing in my Gharana ( Maihar)that I had heard from my Guruji is that it is Gaud सा रंग I.e. akin to Gaud, which got disambiguated to सारंग. Also another character of Maihar is that we don't use प--> रे सा , that we keep solely reserved for Chhayanat. This is propounded by Baba Allauddin Khan. Instead we use ग रे म ग प नि सा नि रे सा. Interesting how many variants exists, thus justifying the name Gaud ,( which in literature has mysterious connotations) .
@@allstringsattached thanks for the information... I have incorporated the phrases used in Maihar Gharana ... but my question is.. if you already have so much information and also learning under a Guru ...then why do you bother sending me email to discuss about Gaud Sarang? Ofcourse I would done Gaud Sarang later.

@@rsamurti yes fine 🙂 I understand... thanks 🙂
Let the lyrics or notation appear on the screen while singing, it's very fast madam
And who's going to do that work ?
Actually There is no Sarang ang in this raag. I think this raag should be called as Gaud Kalyan.
I agree but again tivra ma Pa Ni Dha Pa are also sung in Sarang ... 😄
