Claim settled means the EPFO has transferred the amount, and it is bank which will take 2-5 days to credit the amount. When the status shows claim settled. It takes 3-5 days for the amount to get reflected in bank account. Claim settled means EPFO duty is over, now the duty of Bank to credit is yet to complete. Thank you

A lot of services run by government establishments in India lack accountability. They are one of the reasons why country is lagging behind in development. EPFO processes are not an exception and there is clear lack of information on the portal on claim approvals and transfers. It's good to have these run by private organizations. There is not even a message that's sent as soon as the claim is approved/rejected. It takes it's sweet time to be sent some times 3-4 days after settling/rejecting
