Nice ride and I will be waiting for part two. Looks like you were getting into some single track that would be similar to what the old timers must have traveled on by foot and horseback to get back to the homestead after a long day's trip into town on a warm summer day.
The grasshopper in the face was a shocker, but the spider running across my glasses after I smashed through its web made me come to a stop, just to get it off me. The snake was a really little one, maybe 10 to 12 inches long......
I'm so glad to see your sub numbers growing. I even subed on my cell phone as well as me laptop. I'll fire up the wife's laptop later today. Seeing that bush makes me feel naked without an M60.
The video after Part 2 will be about my opinions on this bike after 250 kilometers of riding in all the types of terrain I've been on. And Yes, a big bike at my age would still be on that trail trying to figure out how to get it out......
I've only seen 7 or 8 cobras since I've lived here. I've seen lots of snakes on rides, but the Cobra usually stays well hidden. However, the first Cobra I saw after moving here was a good 10 to 12 feet long and I was on my Honda Wave. Scared the crap out of me.......He was stretched across the road, longest snake I've ever run over on a bike for sure.......
Now your talking, this my kind of riding. Been a few years but we used to ride the trails and cut lines of the foothills north-west of Calgary, every weekend.
Make sure you get you one of these bikes and turn that "used to" into "I just rode the trails and cut line of the foothills North West of Calgary." Thanks for watching.....

Great video, I like that you stop and show the views. Looks like a beautiful country I'll have to put on my bucket list. I wonder if any of the Adventure Bike Excursion companies have trips to Thailand ?
There use to be a few bike tours before the Covid lockdown here, but I'm not real sure if any of them are still in business. The lockdown here really hurt the economy with no tourist being allowed into the country. Google it up and check it out. I'm pretty sure they will be lifting the ban on tourist early next year, because the economy here is stagnant and they need to do something quick....... Check it out, there may be some open still......
It really wasn't as bad as it looked. I had more trouble with the vines grabbing my boots. Only once did any thing hit a handle bar and that was a bushy plant next the the valley trail, had no problems in the trees. Reminded me of racing enduros in Colorado, only I wasn't going near as fast as I was back then. Ponca City. A great place to grow up learn about living in the country. Lived in Wyoming for 19 years also. Learned to ride a motorcycle there, mostly off road.....
Good question and just so happens I was thinking about that as I was trekking along the trail with grass above my head. Now, there are not supposed to be any Tigers in this area. Just like there was not supposed to be any mountain lions in Oklahoma. Well, Oklahoma has a fair population of mountain lions, so for all I know, there could be some Tigers in these mountains. Have not heard about a Tiger though since I've been here. If I ran into one, I'm pretty sure I'd ride like I've never ridden before and crash my ass off trying to get away from it. Lucky for me, I'll have my GoPro running so when they find what's left of my body, they will know what happened to me.
@@llttf I'm thinking at least a million views for sure. Might just buy a Tiger and show it chasing me on my bike to see what kind of response I'd get.... ;-)
I was, but the dealership lied to me about how long it would take to get the bike, so I went through a broker and got one in 10 days time. Of course after getting the brown one, the red one has now made it to the dealership, so I don't know what I'm going to do about it.......
@@TeamDNFracing I’m stuck getting red only, that’s the only color the US is getting. At least the only color this year. I wanted the one you got. Oh well. I’m #2 in line at my dealership and I just about have the cash in hand right now.
I'm considering moving to Chang Mia in 2023. I'm also a motorcycle rider mostly off road. I'd love to talk with you about it more please PM me. Thanks.
Where is that damned low range when you need it? LOL. I knew this new hybrid/urban bike was going to suffer from lack of that low range we old-timers are used to. Honda dropped that in their 1981 CT110 but popular demand forced them to bring it back in '82. I hope we can get it back again next year. By the way, what microphone do you use for the gopro and how does it connect to the gopro?
The number one bitch I'll have about this bike, is not having that low range selection. Didn't originally think I'd need it, but that was before going on this trip. There will be complaints about the lack of the low range, however, I've got some ideas to liven this bike up some more... I don't use an external mic on my GoPro because the sound is usually pretty good, with minimal wind noise. I don't know for sure why I got that echo, but I think it might be because I had my visor down or I had the camera too close to my body at that time. Once I moved the camera a little away on my chest mount, the echo stopped, so I'll have to keep an eye on that one.......
@@TeamDNFracing Thanks for your input. I ordered the Barkbuster handguards for mine (when it gets here, USA). I have them (factory) on my KLR650 and one thing they really help with (besides cold weather) is they keep bees and other bugs out of your sleeves! LOL. At first we heard that only the US wasn't getting the dual range, but then as they hit the market, we found out Honda isn't putting it on any of them. Everyone is already hoping for an aftermarket drop-in, but you'd have to split the case to do it, so it would be major surgery. I hope Honda is paying attention to everyone that's wanting it. New riders don't care because they don't know the difference, but everyone that had a CT90 or CT110 is crying for the dual range, but hoping the larger engine will make up the difference...IT WON'T!! There's no substitute for really slow crawling. Why do Jeeps have low range?
In a place like that, there are tons of mosquitos and I've not ever found a place yet that was infested with tics like some areas of the US. I had my helmet, gloves, long sleeve Levi shirt and Levi pants with boots. Kept the mosquitos off me pretty good. That and they couldn't catch me on the little Honda.....;-)
