I really think it depends on the severity and recurrence. If someone's partner slapped one gf once 20 years ago and never touched anyone in the intervening time, or before that, maybe the factors that led up to that will never reoccur. But if it's the relationship right before you-- yeah.

We understand that what you do is so difficult emotionally. Hearing about the worst and last moments of peoples lives is hard and can feel sickening and heartbreaking to hear. However, it's important. Getting to know someone from family interviews or pictures and voiceover and then sitting through the horror they experienced is how we are showing respect and support in the smallest of ways. It's essential that we make sure we are in a place where we can absorb peoples stories with the utmost respect and intention. Kendall waiting to cover this story is a true testiment of that. The "See you next Tuesday" part had me in stitches. I LOATHE these two individuals with everything in me. The fact that her last words were "Stop please" and she was still trying to be polite says everything about Kelsey. Thank you for covering this. I live in Woodland Park, about 5 minutes from where Kelsey lived. Woodland Park is a small close-knit town. When kelsey was murdered it really shook the community. Its eerie to watch all the footage - because we know and frequently go to all those places. It's also sad to think about the fact that we were all in our own homes preparing for our thanksgiving dinners when this tragedy took place. 💔 It breaks my heart that this happened to her, especially when it could have been prevented. There is so much evil intent in this story. Praying for her little girl, family, and friends as they grieve this unimaginable loss.
Crystal should have been charged with accessory to commit murder and had a more severe punishment, even with a plea bargain. So glad that Kelsey's family got custody of her daughter. She'll always know the truth and know how much she was and is loved.

My daughter went through horrible post-partum! She felt so terrible, it made it worse. A friend of my youngest daughter and oldest for help as her husband worked during the day so for a while she helped. When she had her son, she didn't have it so bad. She went to her Gyn For a check up. She discovered she had endometriosis bad; and that added to her post partum. She immediately needed a hysterectomy. She was diagnosed with it when when she was 14, and they wanted to do a hysterectomy then. They never thought she would be able to get pregnant. At 14, I told them ABSOLUTELY NO! Thank heaven, they had my 2 grandchildren, so much love for us ❤️. My grandson was born with Autism, and no left hand.

I will never understand why people think they are immune to the acts of the bad people they involve themselves with...if they will cheat with you, they will cheat on you. If they abuse their first partner, you will be abused. If their first partner mysteriously disappears or dies, you could too! I'm glad that they were caught and punished even if the sentences were weak. I'm so heartbroken for Kelsey's family and especially her little daughter who witnessed the horrific murder. It’s also kind of chilling imagining being the worker who served Crystal at Sonic or anyone who interacted with them while he was filling up gas at the gas station. Stuff like this makes me think like damn they literally interacted with someone who is covering up a murder and/or is committing one or committed one. Like I really took a murderers order and handed them their food. It’s just crazy to think that the person you walked passed at the grocery store could possibly be a murderer.

100% it's terrifying after seeing so many of these cases that end this way, especially when not all abuse victims are murdered, but severely abused mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially.. So hundreds of thousands of women have dealt with this, millions even because they don't report what they go through. I just can't. I could never trust anyone around my children. There are evil people, wolves in sheep's clothing, walking among us, I don't want to invite evil into my home... I couldn't live with myself if I was the one who invited evil into where my kids feel the safest, and destroy their peace, and deal with things they never should. It's so unfortunate and sad we feel this way!!
The world was still in shock over the gruesome Chris Watts murders, when this happened… it hit hard. Two unbelievable cases, happening in one year in one of the most beautiful states of the US… still can’t wrap my brains around either of them.

So, from what I understand, while cadaver dogs do alert on blood they mainly sniff for decomposition (which is a sweet, sickly bad meat smell). If the blood had been attempted to be cleaned by strong smelling chemicals, with all the blood filled humans around and if they body hadn’t really started to decompose in the house it could have been easily missed. But that’s just my theory.
I hope crystal is haunted by her actions. She had so much opportunity to stop this. I hope her life is never normal. I hope anyone she tries to meet finds out what she did.
My friend was murdered by her husband infront of their twin boys at the age of 1. To this day the boys are scared of fire works at it connects to “bang bang mommy”. It’s horrid. I am RIGHT there with you Kendall as a Colorado native, the more recent (last 6-7 years) Colorado cases like Kelsey’s have been hard to swallow. Maybe because they all are a husband/boyfriend killing his fiancée/wife/partner and then hiding it and lying about it or because they’re local? I don’t know. At first I felt sorry for Crystal thinking she was an abused woman, but then it dawned on me how ridiculous her stories sound. She randomly showed up at Kelsis house with a coffee and she somehow thought Kelsi was just gonna drink it? And then when Patrick texted her and said "youve got a mess to clean up" that heavily implies that Crystal is the one who wanted it. If Patrick was killing Kelsi just because he "hated" her, why would he need to involve Crystal? Why bother having a witness unless that witness is involved. Knowing how manipulative and deceitful women can be, it wouldnt surprise me if Crystal was the one who demanded Kelsi be killed. And most importantly, WHY would he want Crystal over Kelsi? Crystal isnt exactly a hot ticket.

The fact that she achieved her pilots license at such a young age is huge. Like I don’t really think a lot of people truly understand what go’s into earring that. It really showed how intelligent and capable of a woman she was. I feel for her daughter, it is a shame that she was not able to see her daughter grow up into a capable woman just like her.

@TheGoddessRises That's your mother. There are other addicts who literally get clean before becoming a mother. Addiction affects far more people than you even realize if you think like this. There are doctors who struggle with addiction. I know a girl who is a nurse and has 2 beautiful children and is pretty much a super mom and she was a heroin addict. So the nurses and doctors who take care of you could be these awful people that you speak of. Just because you had a shitty mom who chose drugs over you, doesn't mean all addicts decide to choose drugs over their kids. That's the point of rehab, to get better.

Hearing about the worst and last moments of peoples lives is hard and can feel sickening and heartbreaking to hear. However, it's important. Getting to know someone from family interviews or pictures and voiceover and then sitting through the horror they experienced is how we are showing respect and support in the smallest of ways. It's essential that we make sure we are in a place where we can absorb peoples stories with the utmost respect and intention. Kendall waiting to cover this story is a true testiment of that.

Thank you for covering this. I live in Woodland Park, about 5 minutes from where Kelsey lived. Woodland Park is a small close-knit town. When kelsey was murdered it really shook the community. Its eerie to watch all the footage - because we know and frequently go to all those places. It's also sad to think about the fact that we were all in our own homes preparing for our thanksgiving dinners when this tragedy took place. 💔
It breaks my heart that this happened to her, especially when it could have been prevented. There is so much evil intent in this story. Praying for her little girl, family, and friends as they grieve this unimaginable loss.
Crystal should have been charged with accessory to commit murder and had a more severe punishment, even with a plea bargain. So glad that Kelsey's family got custody of her daughter. She'll always know the truth and know how much she was and is loved.
What I’ve learned in my life is that a person’s character isn’t etched in stone. I take the phrase “he/she would never do that” with a grain of salt; Anyone is capable of anything & it can change at any time.
Thankfully, many people won’t make the decision to do evil things, but all that separates “good people” from evil is a decision.

My daughter went through horrible post-partum! She felt so terrible, it made it worse. A friend of my youngest daughter and oldest for help as her husband worked during the day so for a while she helped.
When she had her son, she didn't have it so bad. She went to her Gyn For a check up. She discovered she had endometriosis bad; and that added to her post partum. She immediately needed a hysterectomy.
She was diagnosed with it when when she was 14, and they wanted to do a hysterectomy then. They never thought she would be able to get pregnant. At 14, I told them ABSOLUTELY NO!
Thank heaven, they had my 2 grandchildren, so much love for us ❤️. My grandson was born with Autism, and no left hand.

It’s also kind of chilling imagining being the worker who served Crystal at Sonic or anyone who interacted with them while he was filling up gas at the gas station. 100% it's terrifying after seeing so many of these cases that end this way, especially when not all abuse victims are murdered, but severely abused mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially.. So hundreds of thousands of women have dealt with this, millions even because they don't report what they go through. I just can't. I could never trust anyone around my children. There are evil people, wolves in sheep's clothing, walking among us, I don't want to invite evil into my home... I couldn't live with myself if I was the one who invited evil into where my kids feel the safest, and destroy their peace, and deal with things they never should. It's so unfortunate and sad we feel this way!!

The world was still in shock over the gruesome Chris Watts murders, when this happened… it hit hard. Two unbelievable cases, happening in one year in one of the most beautiful states of the US… still can’t wrap my brains around either of them.
It makes me deathly afraid of NC and Colorado. I live in NC, about 3 hours away from the Watts Family. I live about 20 minutes away from Kate Gosselyn. I've got to consider moving.

This case really hit home. I hope her family find peace. My mother went missing back in 2017 and a year later her remains were found. Till this day her case remains open 😭 she hasn’t gotten justice and I pray and hope one day my mom gets the justice she deserves. She was an amazing mother 💕
So, from what I understand, while cadaver dogs do alert on blood they mainly sniff for decomposition (which is a sweet, sickly bad meat smell). If the blood had been attempted to be cleaned by strong smelling chemicals, with all the blood filled humans around and if they body hadn’t really started to decompose in the house it could have been easily missed. But that’s just my theory.
I hope crystal is haunted by her actions. She had so much opportunity to stop this. I hope her life is never normal. I hope anyone she tries to meet finds out what she did.

My friend was murdered by her husband infront of their twin boys at the age of 1. To this day the boys are scared of fire works at it connects to “bang bang mommy”. It’s horrid. Still waiting for trial. Still waiting for sentencing. People are aweful. People are horrid. Check up on your people. Go see your people. Make sure your people are okay!!! Tell on those who want help taking a soul of someone else. This world is scary. People make this world scary.

I am RIGHT there with you Kendall as a Colorado native, the more recent (last 6-7 years) Colorado cases like Kelsey’s have been hard to swallow. Maybe because they all are a husband/boyfriend killing his fiancée/wife/partner and then hiding it and lying about it or because they’re local? I don’t know. Even the horrible children cases are similar like disappearances of Gannon or Dylan… to the 2021 downtown Denver murderous rampage on the tattoo scene by Lyndon Mcleod. Pulls at my heart strings but I have been patiently waiting for YOU to cover this case. Thank you for giving Kelsey’s case the Kendall “love and compassion.” Hugs to you and your family. 🩷
At first I felt sorry for Crystal thinking she was an abused woman, but then it dawned on me how ridiculous her stories sound. She randomly showed up at Kelsis house with a coffee and she somehow thought Kelsi was just gonna drink it? And then when Patrick texted her and said "youve got a mess to clean up" that heavily implies that Crystal is the one who wanted it. If Patrick was killing Kelsi just because he "hated" her, why would he need to involve Crystal? Why bother having a witness unless that witness is involved. Knowing how manipulative and deceitful women can be, it wouldnt surprise me if Crystal was the one who demanded Kelsi be killed. And most importantly, WHY would he want Crystal over Kelsi? Crystal isnt exactly a hot ticket.
My thoughts exactly. That’s what is so shitty about cases like this. It’s her words against his. She was def lying though. She was way more involved than she claims.

Hearing that her last words were “please stop!” reminds me of Bella (Watts) saying “daddy, no!” Just the amount of betrayal they must have been feeling, the pain of knowing someone who’s supposed to love you is killing you. Just awful.
It makes me so angry that both Crystal and her friend could have saved Kelsey and they just… didn’t.

What ever happened to, “it’s over” and “it’s not you, it’s me” type shit!? Like seriously. Breaking up sucks and it hurts for both parties….but TEMPORARILY. You will get over it with time. Killing someone is permanent and you hurt them, their loved ones, and yourself. There is no one on Earth worth killing for. I don’t care if you’ve been together 30 years…. You will both get over it eventually. It’s so senseless to kill someone over love or loss of love. Ridiculous.

The fact that she achieved her pilots license at such a young age is huge. Like I don’t really think a lot of people truly understand what go’s into earring that. It really showed how intelligent and capable of a woman she was. I feel for her daughter, it is a shame that she was not able to see her daughter grow up into a capable woman just like her.

@TheGoddessRises That's your mother. There are other addicts who literally get clean before becoming a mother. Addiction affects far more people than you even realize if you think like this. There are doctors who struggle with addiction. I know a girl who is a nurse and has 2 beautiful children and is pretty much a super mom and she was a heroin addict. So the nurses and doctors who take care of you could be these awful people that you speak of. Just because you had a shitty mom who chose drugs over you, doesn't mean all addicts decide to choose drugs over their kids. That's the point of rehab, to get better.

Something that I cannot wrap my head around is that the person that you thought loved you it can kill you so horribly. I have seen so and so many cases like this and it is just so frightening how hard it is to even trust a person and it is truly sad, and just so heartbreaking.
