The entire game was crazy, but that 4th quarter had to be the greatest in playoff basketball history. 'Nique and Bird was playing one on five full court basketball. Great reaction. Keep these bangers coming bro!

There's an article about this game that said Bird had bronchial pneumonia in this game. Aigne's statement that Bird wasn't feeling well was definitely an understatement.
His bone spurs were hurting him, so during warm ups he was working on his left handed shots including left handed hooks. I never heard the pneumonia problem, but he would fight through that.
I also heard that They found out Larry had Bronchial Pneumonia while playing in this game; So He wasn't only Hurting in this Game but He was Sick also. To bad We got a bunch of "Sissy's" playing now days. Great Reaction To This One, Thank You.

My mom did like Larry Bird and the Celtics, but her favorite player was Dennis Johnson. When Dennis Johnson was traded to the Celtics, she was ecstatic. She had watched Dennis Johnson and the Seattle Supersonics win the NBA championship on tape-delay. My mom has since passed and to this day I don't quite understand why she got hooked on the NBA.

My fave game, one of them, all time. My 2 fave players who went to war. Kevin Willis just HAD to poke Bird, literally, in the chest, and put that thumb on the lighter and start a fire. Dummies just couldn't help themselves irritating Bird lol. Nique' a beast and imo doesn't seem to get talked about like he should....seems a great man on and off the court. Hoping oyu do A Courtship of Rivals with Bird and Magic. Best doc ever.
The four players of those great Celtic team are in order: Larry Bird, Robert Parrish, Dennis Johnson and Kevin McHale. Those four made a well-oiled machine of chemistry.
