Hey Knighty, love these videos mate, I'm a new convert to boating for fishing. Can you tell me, what tide height makes those trees safe to get to? I guess 1.8m or more? I just don't want to get beached, or damage any coral.
Another great video again Knighty. Ever thought of teaming up with Hodgie from tackle warehouse for a fish together also a Townsville TH-camr. Just a thought that’s all since you have been fishing with ever other you tuber in Townsville.
Yeah, hard going, I did 4.5 hrs in the trees. For nil return. Not even a bump. So, I moved to the flats. As seen better results. A long day though, 11.5 hrs on the water.
Only fished that area as a kid back in the 70s and never got anything and never went around the end of the island have you been on the northern side around the point love the vids the old home town cheers
Great way to put all the fishing pressure on one spot, soon it will be like the shipping channel out from the harbour not a fingermark to be found all for another like! Eddie was right.
Next time you get a blue salmon, keep it. Fillet it sparingly, (leaving some flesh on the backbone), and give the fillets to a friend to eat fresh. Not the best by any means, however, not bad if it has not been frozen. Anyway, cut the backbone into section and flour, salt and pepper them in a freezer bag. Butter in a hot pan and fry the backbone sections. It will be some of the best fish you have ever eaten. try it! I don't know why salmon backbones are better than any other fish backbones but they are. I know what I'm talking about. I'm older than you are and was fishing/eating fish when you were a tadpole before your Dad met your Mum. And by the way, I do enjoy your no bullsh#t clips.
Thanks Knighty another good video
Another great video, that is where I caught my pb Jack many years ago.
Just watched you and Skid bag up on muddies 🍻🤙

Knighty I need to know about your boat. Not just a rundown on what but why that boat and why that setup. Please.

Appreciate your input.
I will keep that in mind.
As for the shipping channel, a BIG kick ass dredger may have something to do with that.
Nice, would be nice if you put up the GPS mark, make is easier 😂
I'll be up there on maggy in may, hoping to wet a line while over there

Ah ok.
I will keep that in mind
I was born in 56.
Ok. You might have a couple of years on me. However, ask Jimmy Skidpig, sometimes it's about the mileage, not the year model.

What technique/process did you use at the flats or did you just cast in random spots and changed your lures out if they weren't working?
Did you film the cook up?
Not this time mate.
What tide do you need to get in there?
work on 2 meters to be safe.
