I was confused on how you were over $132. You save a certain amount each month for bills but the actual bill was cheaper? That is how you have to extra? ❤❤❤ love all the $1 you’ve saved that will add up!

Essentially, yes. I take my estimated bill amount, divide by how many paychecks I’ll have that month and then round to the nearest $5. (I was doing exact amounts but then my envelopes were so full I couldn’t close by binder) That little bit extra gets added up and I put it into my bills buffer envelope in case my bills are ever more than expected. Once I hit $500 in the buffer envelope, we’ve decided to either put it toward my next month ahead, or put it toward debt.

Love this 💕 get excited every time I see a new video. Would love to know how you got one month ahead to be able to stuff your bills for the next month?

I was pretty lucky that we started this whole thing right when we got our tax returns and our bonuses at work. My plan going into this was to be one month ahead before we did anything else, so I took money from our return and bonuses and made sure I had that done, before I started stuffing any envelopes. I think it’s honestly what has made this whole process a lot easier on us - cause this was a huge change from how we were spending money originally. Highly recommend if you can do something like that.

That was a good amount of one’s going into the ones envelope! ❤❤❤

Finally, right? Makes so much more sense to keep them all in one place, instead of spread out in the envelopes
