Thanks for the explanations! FYI there’s a shortcut for setting parameters for the snapshot. According to the manual, if you press in on the knob while turning it, it will assign it to the snapshot - you will see the little vertical bar appear on the parameter setting to verify this.

This video helped me a lot in organising all my presets and snapshots to my needs! Thanks!!!! I recommend using the HX software for changing the names of the snapshots, though, when you have acces to it!

Can I ask you a question? Is possible to change midi Channel by changing Snapshot? Example: Snapshot 1 a clean sound fron a Tonex and Snapshot 2 recall another Tonex preset..

Excellent tutorial thank you ! Do you think it’s possible to assign a amp channel change from overdrive to clean in a snapshot?
Yes. I believe you should be able to do this. Unfortunately I don't have a channel switching amp to verify this, but you can change midi channels using snapshots so you should be able to use the same process to change channels on an amp. See my video on using MIDI for the steps. You will need to use the "Ext Amp" command instead of "BankPC". Hope this helps.

Not even sure what a snapshot is,poster doesn't define the feature so I'm guessing.I think I have an idea.Wondering - is there any way to to operate say momentary delay with other parameter adjustments (FE delay with flanger both in momentary mode) ?Thanks
How do I turn off snapshots? I just want to click mode then preset and go right into my preset. Right now I have to click mode , preset, exit.

I tried to edit my snapshots in HX Edit and even after assigning controller to Snapshot it's still not retaining my parameter edits. Can't seem to find any help to fix this - any advice? At least I know how to do it on the HX Effects now. Thanks

same problem here. my snapshots are all saved with the same change so I end up with 4 snapshots all the same. using HX EDIT.
So what exactly are the idea of a snap shot? I just got one of these HX effects
They allow you to change multiple parameters in a rig. Should be clear if you watch the whole video. HTH.
I didn't see an explanation for how to activate and change snapshots during play.
It’s 2024. I’m selling off my pedals and tube amps. Age catching up and no gigs for me as playing at home with my loved ones. Will this unit with the JC40 serves its purpose for noodling with the loved ones? Been watching videos of how great it sounds and simple to use.
It should do. I've not tried one through a JC40, but if that takes pedals well, you should be fine 🙂

My question is if you change the parameters in the preset alone not the snapshots, will the snapshots recognize this or will I have to redo them?
I think you will have to redo, but try it and see.

I am unable to edit the snapshots when I press the mode button it sends me back to the preset. Any idea on what I can do?
Hi. Check that you have the latest firmware (available from Line 6's website). If you do then it should work exactly as per the video. HTH.

Excellent tutorial, these pedals are sometimes too deep with menus.
Blimey, it's a lot going on on, I just want a simple bank of snapshots that come up as the default. I'd also much rather have six banks and lose the up/down buttons. I just want clean, clean with effects, crunch, drive, solo and one to spare then... Don't want to switch banks around.
