The scene of Daryl crying over Beth just breaks my heart He’s so strong and brave and not afraid of anything but he has the biggest heart.
The kidnapped walker in the trunk reminded her of Beth, she was kidnapped too. The frogs were dead cause the creek was dry, Sasha looking for water and it showed that they were on the brink of death
So glad y’all kept reacting to TWD. It’s nice to go back and rewatch with first timers
The barn scene where they are holding the doors shut is one of my top 5 all time favourite They are dealing with their grief in different ways but they are able to come together as a group to keep each other safe Very powerful and makes me emotional every time I see it.
It’s been pointed out a million times, and I’m sure you’ve even brought it up on some other channels comment section, but you gotta love that it was the 3 going through the most trauma that were the first to jump into action to hold the door
This is one of my fav all time episodes. I saw it as this: When they were at their lowest, and losing faith. But...when they needed food, food was provided. When they needed water, it was provided (the rain). When the storm came, they had the strength to fight it, togeather. And the tornado never touched them. Then Aaron showed up. Great writing.
Makes me think its a conspiracy that this is like the hunger games for America xD how convenient 👀 lol

@@lynnjohanssen6552 tornados leave a path of distruction, with trees or homes untouched only feet away from the path. Check the path right next to the barn they were hiding in. Hurricanes just blow away everything. I live in Florida...we get both..mostly hurricanes.
Daryl crying over Beth's scene is still one of the best scenes ever.
9:36 I love moments like these, where we get to remember literally EVERY walker in the show has their own story. So tragic :(
In a sense The Walking Dead was never completely about the zombies It was to show how civilized people would respond if the world they knew came to an end and how much of their humanity they’d leave behind.
The title of the episode Them refers to Daryl’s reply of We ain’t them following Rick’s speech at the barn.
Sasha saw that there used to be water where the dead frogs were, but it had been dry for a while, hench why she kicked up some dirt. She was checking to see if it was wet underneath the surface.

This is honestly one of my top 10 episodes. I love seeing the group all together, all pushing on despite impossible odds. I love them coming together to help their own. “Stand together” to quote Dinosaur, one of my top 3 Disney films.
These days could’ve used Bobs optimism, Beth’s songs or Hershel’s wisdom. When the rain hits everyone rejoices except those feeling internally numb. Sasha’s wrath, Maggie’s consistent crying and Daryl’s self harm all reflect their turmoil. Abraham sips liquor hungry and dehydrated after Sasha inadvertently cut his arm, we all process in different ways.
Comic Comparisons : The iconic We Are The Walking Dead speech was given much earlier in the comics After waking up from a coma after fighting with Tyreese in the wake of Carol’s self-harm (Rick blamed Tyreese for Carol’s self-harm because Carol and Tyreese were dating and Michonne seduced Tyreese and Carol saw it)

New character, new people, new community, and new season❤
For those who don’t understand why Daryl burnt his hand: after so much loss that’s not been dealt with, after just surviving, barely making it, you start to go numb. Your brain shuts down your emotions for survival purposes (emotionally). Just like Maggie and Sasha and Carol. But Daryl is self aware enough to know that physical pain will cause him to snap out of that dissociative (detached) state, to feel Beth and Tyrese’s deaths so he can go on fighting.
“That WE are the walking dead” chills every time!
I really enjoyed this episode. I loved the barn scene but thought Daryl ruined an iconic comic quote saying they’re not the walking dead. The ending is the start of a new adventure 👀

@@mr.snifty Not that serious. Just giving my opinion on it bruh. I'm sure there's things you wish TWD would've done differently. No shit the show doesn't have to be like the comics. Some parts should though, and this is one where I felt they should've never changed

You guys are really in it to win it these days ❤ I’m so glad you are experiencing such a great show and these seasons are some of the best! Me and my nephew cracked so many jokes on the following episode 😂 It was too tempting with the L.L. Bean model and super paranoid Grimes to pass by… Not to mention the timeshares and brochure pictures 😅
Fun Fact: Norman Reedus actually ate a real worm during this episode.
He said he was willing to eat the worm, but PETA was on set. So all he could do was put the worm in his mouth, then spit it out after each take so the PETA representative could make sure it was okay. lol
I felt sad about those dogs. Especially how they all most likely had owners who died after the apocalypse. They were able to form together for survival up until this point. I'm sure they ate a lot of walkers in the process similar to season 4 when the dogs were eating one on the side of the road as Rick was returning to the prison after exiling Carol.

I always like to point out how the three that are depressed all lost their siblings. Merle, Beth, and Tyreese all died before Daryl, Maggie, and Sasha could say goodbye.
This is one of my favorite episodes of the series ❤
And like that both of you are in a new Walking Dead era👍 Maggie and Sasha are in the same boat as far as death of loved ones. Tragic really.
15:44 sometimes yeah when you burn yourself bad enough, usually no. it doesn’t really hurt either, just for a second, not even that when drunk. i got one scar out of like 10 times i did it on purpose and too many times to count that i did it accidentally

This episode reminds us of how hard it must be out there! There’s only so much food etc left in the world and unless you have the means and time to grow and hunt and good clean water supply, then you literally have nothing! And that’s just the basics to keep you alive! Not to mention having to contend with walkers on top of everything else! Great episode!

@@madisontrotter9196 and so was Rick when Lori died, and michone when the prison fell. They had their venting sprees alone. Not with everyone there, depleted, almost getting bit. --- I get it, I'm not saying I don't understand... im saying her timing sucks and she shouldn't put the whole group at risk. That's all.
