That's really nice, I didn't now you could scroll the blend options, this video opened up some new areas for my novice self. Thanks.
I like that I can use this tutorial as a skeleton for something that looks nothing like the one you're demonstrating, while still learning the same skills. I'm actually making some things out of photo "scraps" that I may want to include in my portfolio.
What a wonderful idea to use photo scraps! And yes, these techniques are so easy to apply to pretty much any photo or scraps of photos. I am so happy you learned useful things from the video!

Hi Pixel Lady. I am not sure what is happening here, so can you try this for me. Visit this link: www.flickriver.com/photos/skeletalmess/sets/72157611177099692/
and scroll to find a texture you like.
When you find one, click on it and it will open in its own window.
Look in the bottom right just below the photo and to the right, there are 3 icons, click the third (rightmost one).
Click Original as that is usually the biggest image and it should automatically download.
To find it you can press Control + J to see where it downloaded to.

Nice video, BUT you kept saying "RUN DOWN THE BLEND MODES" what does that mean? How do I do that? Thanks
+luxurycardstore Sorry about that. What I meant was to try out each blend mode on the layer to see what you like best. On the PC you can use the down arrow key to move from one to the next. On the Mac (provided you do not have a brush tool selected) you can use Shift + + (shift and plus keys) to move from one blend mode to the next to try them out. I hope this helps?
