❤ DC'S HUMOR AND HONESTY MAKE MY DAY EVERY TIME. I LOVE THE WAY THE CORNSTAR FARMS TAKE CARE OF THEIR EQUIPMENT. I THINK THEY SERVICE EVERY PIECE OF EQUIPMENT BETTER THAN MOST. ENJOYED THE SHOW SUMMER.
You phrase “ chicken spring” always makes me smile, because I get things mixed up, too. One time, I opened one of Cole’s videos, and I wanted to imitate him saying “ Co-o-o- l - e the CORNSTAR!” When I tried, it came out “ CORN, the Colestar! “. I was so surprised! Had to laugh @ myself.
LOL! I love the "Daddisms!" "Chicken spring!" I couldn't help but laugh! You made my day, DC!! Thanks! Also, I appreciate your honesty. I'm older than you, but I feel like you are a father figure to me. I wish that my dad had been more like you. Thanks for being you and the father figure to so many of us!
Hi DC I had my 580c for over 30 years. Used it for many jobs, encluding grave digging. Great machine, easy to work on. It was a beast for its time. Started with a screwdriver, the same way. Lol
I switched to a mini about 5 years ago. We used ground hog grave diggers since 1971. I use a mini and a dodge 5500 with dump box, simplified everything. Can dig a grave from start to finish in about 25 minutes. Can either cover with the truck or compact tractor easier. When there is frost I can put on a jack hammer with a spade bit.
Daddy Cornstar for president! If only more people were like you…. You are a great man and an inspiration. Love your videos!! Great content with you just being you!
I’d keep the backhoe. I bet it would cost more to replace it if you needed it in the future. I just hate to get rid of something that doesn’t give you any trouble and has always been reliable. Plus not having to put DEF in a diesel is great.
If I’m ever buying anything with an engine I want the engine cold when I get there so I can see how it handles a cold start. If I check the engine and it’s warm it’s a sign the seller MAY be trying to hide something. I know you’re not doing that. Just sharing this tip for anyone buying something with an engine.
I remember 15-20 years ago inquiring on an entry level job doing maintenance at a pet hospital and cemetery. The guy mentioned hand digging plots to bury pets. I asked why don’t you use a machine? He replied with we don’t want to disturb the grass anymore than necessary. For what he was paying I said forget it. There’s plenty of machines available to do that instead of a human digging a grave by hand.
I motto is: be honest, be truthful. I appreciate it when I run into someone who is selling something I might want to buy. I have kept most of the paperwork on vehicles I own. Maintenance paperwork too. Oil change paperwork too. I never change the oil myself so it's easy for me to put that paperwork in the file cabinet in my office in a folder. And it's in order by dates/years as well.
Hey DC, I know you have heard this, but when you are storing machines for the winter, the tank should really be filled to the top with fuel and an additive to prevent condensation from forming in the tank.
Yes, it’s very sad to let that case go specially you’ve been using it for 34 years or more and I hope you do not make mistake. I was hoping you could’ve put that in your grave be buried with it it all your memories. And the old case back hole and you go and miss it because it took good care of you all this time.
Gotta make sure tractor is in neutral if you are starting it outside the cab. My father-in-law did so on an Intenational tractor - was accidently in gear; ran over and killed him.
Sad to see it go, I know how you feel I have a 1956 ford 600 5 speed my kids want to sell it and buy a new tractor. I’ve put $2000 in over the last 4 years in all new pumps and new tires
I hope you enjoy your mini ex. That's all we've used for the last dozen years, digging graves. We dig around 200 per year, and haven't had to move a stone yet!
Good to see you spending some money on the tools you use Daddy Cornstar. Seems most of the money being spent these days is on Cole’s giant hole in the ground!
I think they borrowed (rented or were loaned) a newer case hoe with a grabber on the backhoe bucket, a couple years back. Never bought it thought. I think that's what DC broke the back window out of. Maybe I'm wrong. He and we kind of mash up memories occasionally.
I think you'll regret letting it go. Product quality isn't getting better, and the phrase "they don't make them like they used to" is true. But that's just my opinion 🤷🏻♀️
So, the bank that loaned you money for bin site is videoing the site. That contractor and AGI should have made it right with you long ago. It's never good when a second party joins the lawsuit wanting restitution.
You’re showing the world what’s possible. Keep going!
Love your honesty. If more people had a great heart like you today, America would be a much better place.

"Chicken spring" - LOL Haven't heard one of these lately. Still, "Take the bull by the tonsils" beats it!
The world needs more people as kind and hardworking as the Cornstars!!
Thanks, Daddy!! You are so downto earth!!! Never change, sir!!
Those old case backhoes will literally run forever...we had one that had well over 10,000 hours. They just run, cold hot, don't matter
DC is always busy taking care of stuff !
Good show today ! 👍
The Case Backhoe is a great piece of Equipment to have around the Farm ❤

I have seen many videos with this machine. I am happy to see this content. Thank you Mr. cornstar.
Good morning, Daddy Corn Star. Coming at you from Jacksonville Beach, Florida . We love your sweet spirit and your videos. Thank you for sharing. ❤❤❤

Thanks and GOD BLESS
My childhood home on Luther Oklahoma. Even having a subcompact tractor helps quite a bit to mow 5 acres. Having machinery always helps a lot!
Replace the wire from the switch to the starter.
You sir are the definition of midwest nice. I enjoy your videos and honestly maybe it would be cool to keep the tractor around.
Have a nice weekend.
DC always makes me smile.
Hello DC! Thanks for sharing! Love your channel!
Awesome always thanks
Daddy Cornstar yer my favorite chicken spring utuber ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great job DC. thank you
You are such a joy to watch! God bless you all!

I'll never boo on you. Love ya bud.

Love the videos been watching you guys for a while now.
Your family does a great job keeping up equipment. Should sell quickly. If you were closer to me in Tennessee, I would buy it.

Heck daddy cornstar I ain't a spring chicken either❤😊

Nice voice-over video edit there fueling the sprayer
I think all case old backhoes. Start that way. My 580 has been like that for years. Sometimes the starter button works. Sometimes it don't.

Case 480C. Built from 1976 to 1980

yep
Sad to see it go
It definitely is what it is.
first backhoe i ran was a 580c with an extendahoe sweet machines
More DC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry it didn’t sell, but you just gotta find the right buyer.
Not as good as a digger as the excavator…not as comfortable. But is handy to have a backhoe with the loader on same machine, makes it more versatile.
Sad to see it go, I know how you feel I have a 1956 ford 600 5 speed my kids want to sell it and buy a new tractor. I’ve put $2000 in over the last 4 years in all new pumps and new tires
Good video
nice

Another getter done day

Will the mini excavator get the same paintjob as the gravedigger Mlnster truck 😂
It needs to be Brody Clean (from Larson Farms) to sell...
I'm sure it will be slightly missed...
If don't sell I be very interested?
How many graves did you dig with that machine?
D C what year did you and Cole look at the case tractor the one y'all own now I do remember there was snow on the ground

I was hoping we would have seen a grave dug using the mini by now. Are you not making grave digging videos lately?
Chicken spring? Where does the chicken spring go
Goes in the neck. Makes their head go back and forth when they walk.😅
Just remember to not stop lying!¡!
ngl ……
I think you'll regret letting it go. Product quality isn't getting better, and the phrase "they don't make them like they used to" is true. But that's just my opinion 🤷🏻♀️
Your father was digging Graves back in 1958
Why do I feel like I was stuck in the twilight zone at the ending?
😂
When is the show
The Farm Progress show was about a week ago, August 27-29.
Why sell that? It's payed for
Omg… Bye…

Have you dug a grave for a famous person?
