    Ellen White also wrote that we have to give tithe to a church that serves meat. In the context of sound spiritual doctrine. The question asked was whether we are to stop tithing. No off course not. She says we should not stop to support the work. So tith where you know the work is being done. Don’t use Gods money to support apostasy! You can’t with a clear conscience give tith to a church or even a union if you know they misuse it. There are plenty of churches, unions, self supporting ministries that are doing Gods work and are faithful. Support them with your tith. But don’t stop tithing all together. That’s the message. God bless 🙏🏽

      Why is Ellen white so important? This organization says that women can't be elders or priest but SDA seem to act like she's some type of god

      @@sdmsdm138 Because she is a prophet. End times prophet. So it’s not her that is important but what God says through her. Like with every other prophet in the Bible. I was skeptical at first too but once you start to read her writings for yourself is when you realize she is a real prophet.

      @@sdmsdm138 And it’s not the organization saying this the fact is that it’s not Biblical and it wouldn’t fit the roles that God has given men and women. Which if we were to ignore this and the roles don’t matter and we can switch them that would result in a whole lot of problems. It’s a whole study in itself but a interesting one with a very clear outcome. 🙏🏽

      @@sdmsdm138The bible also points out the state of the laodicean church in these last days. Ellen White is not treated like a god . She herself said that prophet is a title that she never claimed . Simply a messenger . For myself I have found her writings to be very helpful . She was never ordained as a pastor . Nobody claims that women cannot minister the gospel , however we are not to usurp the authority of men . This was consequences of sin . I humbly point you to where God says to Job in Job 40 :8 Wilt thou disannul My judgement ? Wilt thou condemn Me, that thou Mayes be righteous? You may be interested to see what scripture says in Isa3:12 As for my people , children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O My people, they which lead thee cause thee to err and destroy the way of thy paths . Plz see also the consequences of the prideful women in Isa 3 : 24-26 . Too long for me to write plz read them . Our men need to stand up in righteousness and our women humble themselves . Said in love Pat nz ps Two men refused the call that eventually fell on EG White . (Weakest of the weak?) ❤

      @tunsiehelden Except in Desire of Ages, wherein she introduces the two OLDER BROTHERS of Jesus.
      We know Jesus had brothers, but Solo Scriptura says absolutely NOTHING about Joseph having a previous wife or having children by her.
      I find that bogus fantasizing.

    Tithing should not be stopped. The scriptures say lay up your treasures in heaven. The General Conference is not heaven. So the tithe can support other ministries if God directs. Let each pray for God's guidance. We all have a personal guide to lead us into all truth. The GC cannot do all the work.

    Can you recalled where Ellen White gave tithes to the ministers in her day who were doing God's work and wasn't receiving support from the conference? Since tithes is used to do God's work, can not the tithe be given to ministries who are faithfully doing God's will? Just a thought!

      There are a number of publications in which you can find where Sister White endorsed the giving of tithe to other entities than the conference. Specifically she gave tithe to poor neglected black ministers in the south who weren't paid by the conference. In addition she said that pastor's wives who spent time in harvesting souls just like the ministers should be paid an equal amount to what ministers were pain. Here are some references. You can probably find the manuscripts and letters on the Ellen G. White Estate web site. The books I've referenced are some that not many people have or have read.
      "I will feel it my duty to create a fund from my tithe money, to pay these women who are accomplishing just as essential work as the ministers are doing, and this tithe I will reserve for work in the same line line as that of the ministers, hunting for souls, fishing for souls." Ellen G. White Manuscript Releases 5 page 29 or Letter 137, 1898.
      "It has been presented to me for years that my tithe was to be appropriated by myself to aid the white and colored ministers who were neglected and did not receive sufficient properly to support their families." Spalding & Magan's Unpublished Manuscript Testimonies of Ellen G. White page 89 of the reprint with an ISBN of 9781495934735.
      There is nothing in Sister White's writings or in the Bible that endorses the ordination of women as ministers or as elders of a local church so in my opinion tithe should not be used for what is an illegitimate office.. In addition, tithe is commonly used for other things Ellen White said specifically tithe shouldn't be used for.

    Withholding tithe seems not to be what the majority of people are searching about, but rather not giving it to a corrupt local church or conference. If your local church or conference is allowing Sunday worship services, would you still donate to it? I would not. I would put it into another church or conference doing God's will.

  • @MrVerilog
    @MrVerilog หลายเดือนก่อน

    When you quote 9T 249 EGW is talking about NOT paying tithe, as in stopping to pay tithe. That is different than paying tithe into another part of the church that is doing God's will. I've also heard pastors quote the story about the woman that paid her two mites in relation to tithe. That story is NOT about tithe. One well known SDA pastor said the women paid her two mites even though it was a corrupt church and that shows that we should too. FALSE. The Bible does not say that the synagogue she donated to had sinful or corrupt leaders. That is SURMISING - evil surmising. Someone could just as well surmise that the synagogue she usually attended was corrupt and she was giving it to a synagogue with God fearing leaders that used it correctly. I'm tired of seeing speakers and pastors surmising things that are NOT said in the Bible. We should pay tithe but not blindly to those going against God's will. There is a lot of information about tithe that SDA ministers are not telling everyone, including Stephen Bohr, Mark Finlay and others that EGW talks about, but these ministers just don't talk about. Start doing a search in EGW writings about tithe and what happened over time and how she gave to ministries instead of the conference and she commended others that did so too. Read about Madison college and how it was to remain independent of the conference, yet the conference was to give it a portion of the tithe. There is so much more to this topic and most ministers are sticking with the same few quotes and not openly talking about all the others and what happened over time. Also do an extensive EGW search of "regular lines" and "irregular lines" and it will open your eyes. Hint: God's principles don't change over time but His methods do. Remember when God told Israel to go take over a land and they didn't and they got punished. Then He changed His plans and they still didn't listen and they got punished again for doing what God had originally told them to do. This will make more sense when you do an extensive search of EGWs writings about tithe and what happened over time. Don't look at just what she said, but also the circumstances and the reasons why she said it.

    I don't think the wrongs in your denominition can be known because you don't believe in prophets and the holy spirit speaking amongst yourselves. This is why you get divided because you don't have a common stand on any decision you make.
