    Will be following you closely - Picked up a '28 Roadster ( which looks like Matt's " Sweet Heart Roadster " minus the top) back in late August. So, a lot of work ahead. Had '30 Coupe 24 years ago. Will appreciate all that you SHARE in building you roadster

      Thank you, and welcome aboard, rsCruiser. Matt is a wealth of information. I’m fairly close to getting back on my roadster project, but I’ve got several videos for you in that playlist, in the meantime. These roadsters are fun projects, and not terribly difficult (so far!?) to put together. Feel free to ask any questions, along the way. Thanks again!

    I have been following build on HAMB, lots of great information and this film is just brilliant. My neighbour and I are starting an AV8 roadster we have a good 28 frame 59a, v8 axles etc., a coupe cowl, some rough roadster doors and rear quarters, no sub rails. Your film really helps to locate things , to see what we don't have but also a great incentive. Thanks so much.
    Gordon from Scotland.

      Awesome, Gordon, that’s exactly the reason I’m documenting everything, and I’m glad to hear the information is useful. 😊 Stay tuned to the build thread, as I will go more into depth there. There are still quite a few things to place in relation to the door strikers, and what not. There are also differences in the way some of these aftermarket parts fit, versus how the original parts were fit from the factory. Particularly the way a car goes together with some of the pieces from Bratton’s. Thanks again for watching and following along. I’ll try to keep posting videos (they’re a lot of work).

      Martin,
      Weirdest thing…I just got a notification for this comment. Thank you so much, my friend. I’m glad to have inspired you, and I’ll be happy to help in any way that I can, once you start. Talk to you soon!

    This video doesn’t show the amount of time and frustration you have into this body. Strong work!

      I tell you, the video thing is a double-edged sword. I wish I had been shooting all along, because the videos are way more well-received than I had anticipated, BUT, in the two months I have been making videos, I have accomplished much less than I did the two months prior. I need a camera man, and an editor. 😂

      @@crazycaseyscustoms I think video is it’s own thing and likely doubles the shop time. We appreciate it though!

    I was jealous enough when this thing got the garage spot, but the fact that you’re literally building a whole car...from scratch, before you build me a roof rack just adds insult to injury. 😊

    Were you happy with the quality of your subrails? Who you get em from?

    • @crazycaseyscustoms
      @crazycaseyscustoms  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They’re “ok”. I believe that they were the Howell’s pieces (purchased from Bratton’s, via Sacramento Vintage Ford). They didn’t match up very well with the Brookville sub rail extensions I bought later. If there’s a moral to the story, it’s don’t mix and match sheet metal vendors.
