My 40-ish pounds I lost is nothing compared to that dude. When I was in my 20's I was 135, couldn't get any higher no matter what I ate, I was actually underweight then. 150 is pretty ideal for me.

    The fact that he went off on Charlie for showing concern about his well-being speaks volumes about Niko's character. He created this persona to drum up views and drama and now the character he plays has consumed him completely. Not unlike the copious amounts of food he eats in every video. If this is how he responds to anyone who shows concern then Niko deserves to fall.

    • @loneronin6813

      I'm worried it's his heart that will fail. My respect for his plight has lowered in all honesty, especially after his disingenuous response to Charlie. I can tolerate a lot, but intentionally besmirching someone's good name and lying about what was said in order to defame someone is just going too far.
      I still don't want Nick to die though, and I do hope he finally listens to one of the infinite wake up calls he has been given, but if he hasn't corrected his condition by now it's quite possible he never will. At the end of the day, he is doing this more to himself than the other way around.
      It doesn't help that he is able to gain money from this and thus encouraging his habit, but the majority of the blame still falls to him. He is his own potential success or downfall yet seems to choose to maintain the possible illusion that he isn't at all to blame.

    It is actually possible to break a rib by coughing - it's just one of many reasons whooping cough is/was so devastating. It generally requires a chronic severe cough but can crack your ribs, usually the middle ribs and is far more likely to happen if you have lost bone density (but can happen even if you have perfect bones), you can crack/fraction a rib by pulling a muscle.

      @@robertwoods3871 yeah, never had broken or cracked ribs myself (that I'm aware of), a long as it's properly supported and nothing strenuous along with good meds, being mobile shouldn't be too big of an issue.

    • @robertwoods3871
      @robertwoods3871 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Caderynwolf I've broken 3 ribs before, and you're right, as long as you have good meds, don't strain yourself, and sit tf down so you can heal properly (which should be common sense), it shouldn't be much of an issue. The problem is he stomping around like a toddler and putting more stress on his supposedly injured ribs, then exactly one week later, makes another one of his gluttony videos like it didn't even happen. I don't know what doctor he goes to, but any doctor that recommends him eating 5 whole pizzas with sides after recovering from broken ribs needs his license revoked and his knees done in.
      If Nik is actually injured and continues to hurt himself in this manner, then I pity him. But if he's faking it and trying to hide behind the shield of "I'm disabled" to deflect genuine criticism while twisting actual concern for his health into imaginary slights against him, which I'm honestly inclined to believe at this point, then it's fucking repulsive.

    You’re completely right about the complicated addiction we obese people have with food. I’ve got an issue with it as well, in order to try and rewire my brain about it I’m no longer eating anything unless I’m hungry. If it’s a snack of carrots, I’ll eat that, if I’m sick and don’t feel much need to eat, that’s another thing, but I’ve stopped filling myself until I feel like I’m gonna burst and it’s helped a lot. I understand that Nick thinks this is just something he’s gonna stop, that if he makes it to 35 he’ll quit like it was never an issue, but people like you and I know, it’s not that simple. If he’s PLANNING to wait five years to kick his addiction, lord only knows if he ever will.

That’s why athletes can scarf down crap that’s like 5-7,000 calories but they’re in a professional sport that burns their calorie intake by around 8-9,000 calories. That’s why when they retire and stop having a way to burn it, they keep their diet and balloon up cause the way to burn it all away is gone. Exercising is as important as what you eat

How long would it take for them to fall off the wagon?" Besides the fact that everyone needs to eat, I think an important component is the availability of food compared to for example drugs. Can we stop pretending being obese is a lifestyle choice. Humans are not meant to be that big and there are serious health implications for it. That's not to say anyone should be bullied or ridiculed for being fat, but we cannot encourage it or pretend it's okay.

      I saw a TV show a while back here in the UK about fat people. And the central message around the show was that: "I'm fat, that's just how I am, that's just my body type, oh and its also a personality trait"

    I don't know if Rich mentioned this in the video but there is an excellent TH-cam documentary on Nickcado on a channel called The Right Opinion. T.R.O. does an excellent job filling people in on the fall of TH-cam and social media personalities.

    If VICE ever makes a spin-off of 'Dark Side of the Ring' called 'Dark Side of TH-cam' Nikocado Avocado should be the pilot episode.
