The process to grow diamonds in the lab took place in the 50's before Terrence was born ..
Unfortunately, Howard's claim of having a PhD is false. He never even finished his Bachelor's. SCSU gave him an *honorary* degree for a speaking engagement, but that's it. Why he chose to lie about it on national TV (Kimmel) is bewildering, as he will no doubt be heavily ridiculed in coming months when word gets around. He's a fine actor, but evidently also disturbed...
