  • Powerful, feature-rich, well-built, and affordable, the Wurkkos TS30S is one of the best enthusiast-style flashlights for outdoor use. With a 21700, USB-C charging port, backlit switch, ToyKeeper's Anduril, and the Luminus SBT90.2, this is a slam-dunk offering from Wurkkos - though I would like to see some updates to the firmware.
    Purchase this light direct from Wurkkos here: www.wurkkos.com/products/ts30...

    For detailed info on this interface (Anduril), please review this guide: ivanthinking.net/thoughts/and...
    These lights were sent to me free of charge for review, but all opinions here are my own. I was not otherwise paid for this video.

    Awesome review and loved the intro! Had this light too but sold it to buy more lights lol... the collection rotates quite a bit. I feel like it was priced over $100 around the time I got it but at $65 its definitely a good deal 👌

    • @LuxWad
      @LuxWad  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah when it first came it out it cost ~90-100 dollars, but they dropped the price after a couple months and it's also been on indefinite sale at $65. I think part of the sale was removing the bezel though. Either way it's a great light! This is one that I probably won't be selling 😂

    Fantastic video, as usual 👌 I've been interested in this light for some time now, this video might just push me over the edge...
    Also, regarding the tint difference; can you check whether the lens cover has an ar coating, and if so, what's the color? My sofirn lights don't have any, and therefore I suppose wurkkos is the same. But perhaps this model is an exception, and the ar color is different between the two units you have? That's a thing which could alter the tint, aside from the LED bin ofc

    • @LuxWad
      @LuxWad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad you like the video!
      So far as I can tell, both lenses are identical. They seem to have a very light slightly bluish coating, but truthfully I don't know much about AR coatings, that could just be the material itself.

    Having a difficult time deciding between this and the Astrolux/Mateminco FT03S with the SFH55. Except for the OP reflector on the Astrolux, these seem very very similar. Am trying to find a great all-purpose combo light.

    Ouch.. you just push me closer to the edge of getting this one.. i'm on the brink wether to get the ts30s, or pick one or two small edc's.
    I'm thinking getting the Wurkkos ts30s to complement my Astrolux EC06 flooder.. i'd like to have some dense illuminance at 150-200 meter range with useful hotspot spill (within the budget territory😘)
    Thank you for the highlight Lux

    Can you tell me, perhaps it is possible to stabilize the sbt 90.2 in pocket flashlights or is it just my whim, and I just need to accept it and enjoy the ton of light that the flashlights on the sbt provide.

    • @LuxWad
      @LuxWad  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is simply too much power and heat for stable output in a small light, unless it runs at about 200 lumens.

  • @monkpato
    @monkpato ปีที่แล้ว

    Love the opening! Did I miss throw (distance) numbers?

    • @LuxWad
      @LuxWad  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's 211kcd, which is 918 meters under the FL1 spec.
      However I don't consider "throw" numbers to be useful since they are extremely dependant on environmental factors and your own eyesight, and the ANSI FL1 numbers are pretty unrealistic in my opinion.

    Thanks for all ur effort for these beautiful videos, I'm totally confused which flashlight shall I choose! For lightening completely dark roads while inline skating, without getting hot and step down a lot! And I guess flashlight that use 3×18650 batteries are tough to hold them for 2 hours during skating! So I'm stuck to the 21700 options! Shall I search for flood lights instead? Avoiding headlamps due the fact that they attract insects in the eyes🤔😞 plz help.

    • @LuxWad
      @LuxWad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you want a 21700 light that sustains a lot of output, I really like the Acebeam E70, Zebralight SC700d, or Thrunite T2. The Convoy S21D with 519a and boost driver is another great option that's a bit cheaper.
      This TS30S is great but sounds like it might be too big for your use case

      @@LuxWad Came here looking for comparison of Wurkkos TS30S with Convoy L7.
      From what I’ve read, I think I’d rather have the L7, due to the very well-regulated buck driver, which allows much higher sustained output than the TS30, at the cost of:
      - no murder bezel
      - no Anduril
      - no built-in charging
      - no way to monitor batt capacity
      Good video though.
