I say, don't worry about the push back. It's because of you that I used my day off work today to declutter, clean and organize my kitchen cabinets, drawers and pantry. I also set up our guest room, reorganized and decluttered my craft room, decluttered and cleaned our master bedroom, closet and bathroom. Decluttered and cleaned our dining room hutch, decluttered our storage area and finally took down my Christmas decorations! All from motivation from your videos 2 nights ago! So keep doin you, you're making an impact!

I have reached the end of of my rope. I must declutter, decrease inventory, and clean. I cannot function anymore, and it has been 46 yrs. of accumulation raising 4 kids, being the keeper of relatives stuff that have passed away, and I need to simplify so I can use my brain & space in ways I really want to. Where I have gotten hung up in the past is 1. perfectionism. There is no perfect way, just the way like Michelle says, that resonates with me, and if that doesn't work so well, try another way, but keep on going moving forward. It won't all be gone overnight, but with staying with the intention and the action, it will get better, and the more I'll feel successful at this overwhelming job. I appreciate your transparency and showing that it’s progress that matters. Most of us don’t live in perfectly clean and organized homes. Also, I love your idea of going ahead and decluttering your husband’s clothes and then let him go through them later. That way may also make it easier for him to let go of them since they are already bagged up.
Hi Michelle, all you TH-camrs have me decluttering my house every week, the local second hand store around the corner has half my house in it. I’m loving it. I enjoy your videos so much, with three kids and a big home you are doing awesome, just ignore the haters. You are truly an inspiration. Enjoy your weekend.😊

I watch these videos almost everyday - for years, but TH-cam has never suggested her channel, never!! Amazing tips, I so agree & I'll have to watch this again :)
Michelle a suggestion that works great for me that you may consider is I keep a donate box in my closet and if I pull something out to wear and then I don’t love it I just put it straight in the box. I found this helped me so much with time because I used to hang it back up but I would forget I didn’t like how it fit and the next month I would try it again with the same result. I found when I try to do a big declutter especially of my clothes I didn’t want to take the time then to try stuff on ( it would twelve days) so I would keep it and the cycle continued. Just a thought because I know your time is limited with your busy life. I also do that for the kids if they don’t like how something feels ( itchy) or they no longer liked it straight in the box so I don’t have to try to remember, frees up my brain.
I commend you for your efforts. Good job 👏👍. I always follow the rule of 1 thing in and 1 thing out. If I buy a 6 pack of socks, 6 must go. 1 new bra, 1 out, 1 t-shirt in, 1 out. Same with household items. A new coffee mug, 1 out etc.
I applaud you. Three kids means stuff and they grow so fast. I am sorry that people think posting critical comments is right. Seriously, they need to get a life. I think your amazing
Love all of these tips! Some of the best advice I have gathered over time about decluttering is that it is a daily effort. Every day you are doing some small and over time it adds up. I have been working at it for over a year now and I can slowly start to see that more items have homes and there is overall less to manage. I think with every sort of advice out there you have to take everything with a gain of salt and piece together what works for you. I like watching Minimal Mom and Clutterbug.
You are an amazing mother. Love your videos, they are real ! You work so hard at organizing and keeping your home in order. In my book you get a gold star
I think you’re doing an awesome job, Michelle! I enjoy seeing what all you do! It’s really no one’s business how much stuff you or I have. You’re buying it yourself and you can get what you want! I personally love seeing what others share and have and I’m happy for them! I can get ideas and use them whether I have the same things or not. I think you are handling a lot of things in life and doing a great job! Thanks for sharing what all you do! I find it so helpful! ❤️
It's been 50 years since I handle tiny clothes... Don't listen to negatively!!! I think your awesome and inspiring !!!! I started in my closet decluttering and organizing plus deep cleaned as well.

If you match your socks on top of each other and fold in half or thirds, you can fit many more socks in the bin/drawer and you can organize by like colors and easily see what you have. Plus the socks don't stretch out. Love your content!
Those people who give you negative comments should be ignored. If they posted their homes in video form, they would most definitely get negative feedback too. You just keep making "progress ". Progress over perfection is best. Women should build other women up. Not tear them down. The fact you realize what you need or want to change is a big step in the right direction.
Love your videos Michelle, love all the chit-chat and how you share what you have learned. I hope you will continue to share, you are teaching me a lot and I appreciate that, so Thank you! 😘 You Michelle are a SWEETHEART!!! 💕
Your doing a great job. People's opinions of how much stuff you are happy with having don't matter. You have to do what is good for you and your family. I am in a constant state of declutter ever since about 2019. It is less overwhelming to just get rid of 1 or 2 things you know you don't need. I also try to exchange 1 for 1 on clothes. If I buy something new, something has to go.
I'm right where you are. 7 months postpartum but we're also thinking about a 3rd and final baby and that makes it difficult to get rid of things. I think this gave me the motivation to overcome the mental block of being too overwhelmed to even look at our closet. Lol
Great video 👍🏼 To help me get started I bought small laundry baskets that were just for donate to have in each room so when we get dressed and something be to small or didn't like we would throw it in our giveaway basket.

Again thanks for the inspiration and great ideas on ways to figure sour what to declutter. Also I’ve never thought to put bins in my drawers for clothes. I may have to try that.
Good morning, Great job Michelle. I need to do some more organizing & decluttering of my closet. I really like those fabric boxes. Everything is visible & neat. Thank you for sharing. Looks awesome. ❤Until next time take care😊.
I started for our move to Florida. I was 51. Lots of stuff gone. Then we rented a home for a year but did not unbox everything. When we bought a home, a lot more was decluttered. I am a stay at home wife, so I have time. I think for those that work through out the week, start with a drawer. Bathroom drawer. Check the dates on your makeup, medicine. This I feel helps you cut your teeth on learning. One drawer can then lead into a cabinet, a closet, a tote, a room. Remember your home is not always going to be instagram or Pinterest worthy. I have been at it 4 years now and still have 4 totes in the car to go to a thrift store that does consignments. Remember this, “ One foot in front of another” it’s about progress not perfection.
My tip is when you find it hard to let go of a clothing item I make myself wear it. I had a pile of clothes I didn’t wear but always put them back every time forgetting why I wore them. I Remember keeping a top that I had for years that I always wouldn’t get rid of. So I made myself wear it the next day and I came home at the end of the day and put it in the bin not the clothes hamper😂 I felt so frumpy and uncomfortable all day so then whenever I’m not sure about something to get rid of I make myself wear it the next day, its quite funny you soon learn that it’s easier to get rid of it than go what was I thinking😂
If I have say 20 tshirts or pairs of shoes and I want less I get rid of my bottom 5. Either least worn, ugliest, oldest or just don’t want them. I find parishables really easy to keep minimal (food, beauty products, cleaning supplies etc). I feel very guilty getting rid of things that expire before I use them so I only keep two in each category. That way I have either variety or one back up and I feel like I get the full use out of the shampoo or whatever. I struggle with clothes too for sure!

Omg so many baby clothes . I used to and my daughter got alot of clothes from people and like you put them in sizes for growing into , but I found it was getting to much so I cut it down to 7 to 14 items eg. 10 shorts 14 t shirts 7 dresses etc and 3 or 4 good outfits it worked so good not so much washing and folding and the kids grow so fast just replace with the bigger size when needed...you could double the amount to start with and if you find you don't use get rid of them .
Heyyyy boo, your awesome! So much motivation for me to start doing this for my sons clothes. They grow and grow and grow 😂 I hope you and your family have a wonderful blessed week and weekend! 😊
When I changed my mindset to understand and except that I will never be a minimalist and that it's ok to have stuff it made it easier to perge things I let things go and I know its not as much as others would but I'm ok with that
I've been binge watching ur last videos from yesterday whenever i have time and i really like your content. Love the before and after. Your closet looks more spacious now! I would suggest that u move the cart in which u put ur kids shoes in the closet, it will give ur room more space as well 😊 but you know better ofc ! Bref, Keep up the good work !
Hi!!! I realize that I began the decluttering journey about 2 years ago:) I started using the Kon Marie strategies. I’m still decluttering, just not as much as before. It’s an ongoing process, that I feel is necessary for a healthy life. As usual, your videos are uplifting and motivating!!! We decluttered my mother’s home today. It was overwhelming, and refreshing at the same time. 🧹🧺🧽🏡
No push back from me Michelle. A) I’m fat & I hate to buy clothes so I have like 3 drawers of my own clothes (most are old & ripped & comfortable…including my 3 bras that are all missing an underwire ha! Now my daughters closet & clothes … that’s a hot messy disaster! I just enjoy watching the process.
Dana K. White’s questions are: If I needed this item, where would I look for it first? Take it there now” and “If I needed this item, would it even occur to me that I already had one? (Also, it’s res-o-nate, not res-IG-nate.)
Hi there. Save yourself a little hassle every time you put clothes away. Buy the part to fix the drawer. It’s probably just a few dollars and in the meantime, until you remodel your closet you won’t dread putting away clothes. 😊
Hey Michelle I wanted to ask where you bought the purse on the shelf above the hats 🧢, the slightly pink one with woven structure. It is such a beautiful one! Would you sell it perhaps?
I can’t even relate to this. Her closet is bigger than my bedroom and she has more clothes than I’ve had in my entire lifetime and I’m in my sixth decade.
I think you can take something from all the remarks!! Everyone is different and lives their own way what works for you may not work for all!! Do what makes it easy for you!!
Honestly I would not use the kon marie style . I love everything laying flat in drawers I hang jeans and tops Good ones But for everyday tops and jeans they lay flat in my draws A draw for jeans and one for tops And my pjs
How can I get a copy of the tips you shared. I agreed with most of them as you were saying them but feel I need a version I can read LOL. Also as a kid I had very little moved around a ton too. I like stuff and am not interested in all this minimal talk 😂

♥️🙋🏽♀️I need a whole new closet😏
No push back from me Michelle. A) I’m fat & I hate to buy clothes so I have like 3 drawers of my own clothes (most are old & ripped & comfortable…including my 3 bras that are all missing an underwire ha! Now my daughters closet & clothes … that’s a hot messy disaster! I just enjoy watching the process.
Hola me en canta tu estilo de vida linda organización hermoso día haz tenido feliz semana 😁👍
You always make the best intros I swear! Makes me everytime extra excited watch your videos 🤗
Yay! Thank you!
Great job Michelle!! Do you remember where your pink bag in your closet is from?? It's freaking adorable!!
Dana K. White’s questions are: If I needed this item, where would I look for it first? Take it there now” and “If I needed this item, would it even occur to me that I already had one? (Also, it’s res-o-nate, not res-IG-nate.)
You do what is comfortable to you. Looks like your doing great , n my opinion 😁❤️❤️
Great job
Awesome!
Great video!!
Thanks Ronni!!
I hear you about men and socks!
I can’t even relate to this. Her closet is bigger than my bedroom and she has more clothes than I’ve had in my entire lifetime and I’m in my sixth decade.
I. Agree with you good content
I think you can take something from all the remarks!! Everyone is different and lives their own way what works for you may not work for all!! Do what makes it easy for you!!
Honestly I would not use the kon marie style .
I love everything laying flat in drawers
I hang jeans and tops
Good ones
But for everyday tops and jeans they lay flat in my draws
A draw for jeans and one for tops
And my pjs
Please , can I have the name of the song that’s playing at the beginning
I immediately drive to the donation place. If not, I think about what I put in my car.
I'm curious about your bathroom. Is it finished?

How can I get a copy of the tips you shared. I agreed with most of them as you were saying them but feel I need a version I can read LOL. Also as a kid I had very little moved around a ton too. I like stuff and am not interested in all this minimal talk 😂
I just wrote them out in the description section so you can screen shot them! 😊
Awesome thank you so much!
Tienes muchísima ropa madre mía!!
