Just booked a transatlantic on the QM2 for June of 2026. This will be my first time on a Cunard ship and passenger ship. If all goes well, we’ll certainly book more with Cunard.
I’d heard their 2025 itineraries with US ports had seen a surge of cancellations and the same for westbound transatlantic crossings since the election result.
Love your videos Chris and I hope to be fortunate to attend one of your on-board lectures sometime. I am about to board QM2 on Dec 21st for the Christmas/New Years cruise. This is my third trip on QM2 in the past 2 years. I also travelled on QA this past summer to Norway. I am also booked on another QM2 transatlantic next July followed by QV eastern med - my first time on QV. I love Cunard. I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia so the connection with Cunard is strong.
Quite honestly, I enjoyed my travels on the “old” Cunards…sailed on them in 1996, and several times in the 2000’s, with the last time in 2012, a 24 day cruise from San Francisco to Sydney, stopping in Oahu, American Samoa, Fiji, New Zealand and 2 places in Australia. I liked the formal nights. I am now 76 and have too many health issues now so I guess I am landlocked.
I can’t compete with 700 nights(!) but I’m embarking on my fourth Cunard cruise tomorrow on board Queen Elizabeth, which is my favourite of the three ships I have travelled on.
As someone who loves everything Cunard I was thrilled to hear that Queen Elizabeth will be heading for the Caribbean. I have always wanted to sail on her and now I may have the chance! Side note: I have finished The Evolution of the Passenger Ship and Chris and Rachelle have done a remarkable job! I highly recommend it. I have my copy out on the coffee table for guests to explore.
That's wonderful to hear about your copy of The Evolution of the Passenger Ship. I'm glad you're enjoying it! And enjoy QE when she’s there. She’s a great ship!
Great video Chris, and thank you for mentioning my special girl Vicky. I believe she is the real reason cunard are doing do well, you know cause she is the best ship and all.
We are World Club Diamond members. The Queen Mary 2 is our favourite ship, with the Queen Victoria a very close second. It's very much a matter of opinion, and we know that there are people who love her, but I'm afraid that we won't be back on the Queen Anne.
I am a regular Cunard traveller and loved Queen Anne which I travelled on this autumn. I wonder how many new to Cunard cruisers will be shocked though by high alcohol and wifi prices. There are times I felt more like a cash cow than a passenger ! Despite this have just booked Queen Mary in Princess Grills for 2026.
Our first ever voyage on any ship of any type is next year on the QM2 transAtlantic. On your wifi comment, my wife will have it but I happily will NOT! I plan to walk all over QM2 exploring, and spend ridiculous amounts of time just watching the waves go by. Oh! There's another wave! Hey, there goes another one!! :-)
Always informative - Queen Anne is way nicer than QV or QE FYI - way more modern. QM2 makes them all look like Ikea ships tho! nothing beats an ocean liner.
rubbish grandma's favourite line is Cunard, all of them just why do you think otherwise, they were not born in Victorian times!! Many live in modern houses and expect glamour
So true that people still think of grandmas as cosy apple cheeked ladies from horse and carriage days. Plenty of grandmas were actually punk rockers in their youth 😀
How brilliant to see Cunard really booming at the moment - it's great to see all ages giving it a go!
We board QM2 today! Can’t wait to sail with you again! Great video!
Bon Voyage my friends!

Two Transatlantics in the noughties on QM2 and two recent cruises on QV plus an upcoming 4 day cruise on Queen Anne in January. I love Cunard
On our recent QM2 crossing, one passenger was honored for having 2,966 days!
Whaaaaaaaat 🤩🤩🤩
Given where CUNARD was in 1994 it's good to see it is outlook is improving
So true John! It certainly has improved since the challenging days of 1996-1998!

Brilliant! No wonder I only travel Cunard!

We need more ocean liners! Buhay ay di karera!!
Mine is the QE2 an absolute beautiful ship ❤
She was great but I find Queen Mary 2 even greater
Great video Chris, and thank you for mentioning my special girl Vicky. I believe she is the real reason cunard are doing do well, you know cause she is the best ship and all.
Queen Anne is better.
@ that answer is incorrect but thanks for playing 🤣
@@Boeing_Luke Queen Anne for $100 please Luke!

Just disembarked from QE…. such a beautiful ship!
I’m so glad you enjoyed sailing on her!

We really enjoyed dressing up each evening aboard the QM2 with a different suit for each night. We'll for su be booking for 2026
I hope they change their minds about home porting QE (wishful thinking)!
Aww yes she will be greatly missed. I wish they’d have rotated them. QE then QV then QA.
What's your favourite Cunard Queen?
Anne and QM2 by far.
Travlled on four ships, in order, favourite to least favourite: Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth 2.
I love Queen Victoria, but my favourite is Queen Mary 2. A fascinating ship.
Queen Mimasaur (Queen Mary 2)
Queen Mary 2 by far
Queen Anne
Cunard....wonderful cruises....
Queen Mary 2 should get a sister ship, one that will become the world's fastest ocean liner.
When she retires after perhaps 40 years of service I think she will be replaced by another true liner
@ssmith1396 A sister or a replacement. She must be the fastest too!
Always informative - Queen Anne is way nicer than QV or QE FYI - way more modern. QM2 makes them all look like Ikea ships tho! nothing beats an ocean liner.
Happy for Cunard in general but the Queen Anne was terrible Just not Cunard in any way. Too many problems to list

Is Cunard still your grandma's, grandma's line? Then show her the video and it makes sense.
@@gerardmackay8909 it's literally just a turn of phrase people get offended by everything lol
C'est moche !..... D.
