I was pushing so hard for Qiu¡ 2nd set was crucial. Very well deserved from Dango Q, his style is almost flawless. He seems so effortless with a perfectly relaxed body.
Darko Jorgic almost always scored in the first two sets when Dang Qiu opened up onto his backhand. In the following sets he played more onto the elbow and the forehand which seemed to disrupt Darko's rhythm, so it seems like this ultimately won him the game!
It was a cool experience seeing these two sympathetic players live.

Quite a surprising final for these championships. But great matches from both players 👌. Qiu demonstrated a strong consistency and did not failed against the power of Jorgic. His turn will come I guess…Too bad for Karlsson ☹️

I mentioned in a previous round that Jorgic's forehand is awkward for such a good player. Dang Qiu kept the ball away from Jorgic's deadly backhand except in the first game. He went to Jorgic's crossover point and his forehand. Paid off. Qiu is consistent and Jorgic is weaker there. So Qiu can rally from there and Jorgic will miss.
I have this problem too. an awkward forehand and devastating backhand. a person with a game plan leaves me frustrated. I have to work very hard and become tense and begin to commit unforced errors.

Dang Qiu is German-born, German-raised. So why on earth should he not play for Germany but for China instead?
@@_lsylsy_ родился-то в Германии, а школа теннисная китайская, его отец родился в Китае, там же и научился играть в теннис. Аналог Харимото, в общем.
@@Oleg_SundukovSkiтолько вот его отец был в принципе одним из главных тренеров в Германии. Он работал во множестве клубов и в целом был частью Бундеслиги. Так что Qiu Dang как игрок взрощен также в немецкой системе. Ну либо мы всех европейцев которые работали под руководством его отца также записываем в китайцы. Логика крайне странная
