Monkeywrench lol, reminds me of Devo and General Boy. Great song, thanks for posting. I heard this on an 80s radio station and was wondering if he was singing Star Wars. I wish I had listened to them more back in the day.
as brilliant and relevant now in 2014 as it was over 30 years ago !! the greatest band outside of the 1960's a/. way ahead of their time and so underrated. the bands music does not sound dated as many others from the 1980's does.
Its past 2AM. I havent taken my reuptakes so I put on my sunglasses and start peeking around corners on my tippy-toes. Cuz I know... They're around here, somewhere. Just watching me, taking notes and photos.
I was in the dressing room when they opened for devo in l.a. they were not happy with the timing of their performance but I thought they were great. I love spy world .
That would be the ULTRAMINT! Especially when Marc goes off at the end with the 12-string. Listened to it high on Coke. It still buzzes. However, I'm glad to say I'm clean today 2 yrs.,4 months, & 24 days. Headphone music for sure!!
Stan R was a great vocalist/front man but did not compose the group's music. The Moreland Brothers' and Chas Gray did that and later the new vocalist Andy P. That came from the band members'. So if you want to contest this you better be named Stan R !!
"did not compose the group's music" Oh, any of it, huh? And I bet drummer Stewart Copeland wrote all of the music for "Don't Box Me In," too. Stan's solo albums sound like Wall Of Voodoo and the Andy stuff didn't. The proof's in the pudding.
Did you read my posts ? my sources were the Bruce M and Chas Gray and I would take want they say over your "considered opinion" And Stan's solo albums do not sound anything like early WOV. Yes he has that voice but the music IMO is far more commercially orientated and IMO vastly inferior to the Stan WOV era.
