Once I was doing my military in Switzerland (it's also compulsory), I was with the guys of my section on a boat. There were groups of tourists (Asians and Americans) and both wanted photograph us. I saw the Asian really wanted but they didn't dare. Suddenly an American lady ask us if it was possible and of course we accepted and than the Asians come so fast to photograph us. DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK FOR PHOTOS. We soldiers love this.

Once i and my family came to israel in 2016 and there was a military truck on road and i asked them for a picture so they raised their guns in air and i took picture of them. Later i talked to a soldier his name was henry maxwell he was so generous and kind even he gave my 5 y/o sister a candy bar and she has its wrapper even today. She framed it and named put sticker on it saying ' gift from israel'. It was so lovely experience. 😌😌 🇮🇳❤️🇮🇱

Loved My visit to Israel and we're planning on going back in September. I have pictures of my husband and myself with the Israeli police They noticed I had my finger nails painted with the star of David on them they ask can we see your hands miss so I showed him my hands and then 3 others came over. They were giving us thumbs up. We took took pictures with all of them .....lots of fun. They were very kind, I'm bringing them Trump hats back in Sept. I felt very safe the entire time we were there for the 70th.

I went to Israel for a 3 week holiday in summer and can honestly say I had a fantastic time. I loved the people. They are funny, kind and intelligent. The beaches are relaxed and the food and cafes are really high quality. Unfortunately I had some trouble with some arabs around Jerusalem but other than that it was a very chilled place.

But we had a bad experience with a tour guide who was not letting us buy things, any one else but only at his Palestinians friends and he was very rude, arrogant and controlling he did not take us everywhere we were supposed to visit, anyway am looking forward to visit again but this time I will do my research, more carefully

P.S. I took a picture with two beautiful soldiers. I was with my mom in the Western Wall, I saw these two girls in uniform, and I asked my mom to take me a pictue with them. I told the soldiers if I could take a picture with them and they agreed.

I drove in Israel and the driving experience in Israel was better than the States, I would even say pleasant. The roads were excellent and the drivers weren't crazy like everyone warned me about. One thing I would definitely recommend if you decide to rent a car -- download the WAZE app (or Google maps). It's a lifesaver. Also, though Road 6 is a toll road, it pays to use it because in the long run, it saves you time and gas.

The first car ride I ever had in Israel was from Tel Aviv to Nazareth and the guy took the 'scenic route'. The drive was very long and made me nauseous but I got used to it after that

remember to negotiate only in like big markets with stands (except sarona market which is fancy), for example it's not customary to go inside Castro and negotiate about a shirt. also, people in israel are very warm and friendly so don't hesitate to make some friends who can show you around.
by the way, 1$ is about 4 shekels.
Forget that. I negotiate for my gas after I fill up, and if they don't give me at least 20% off I just drive away.
