Got my EX123 in palmetto blue last year and absolutely love it! I had heard rumors about the supposed splash guard and would definitely be interested if they decided to sell it as an accessory. Great video and thanks for some ideas on accessories that I might incorporate on to my bonafide!

Perfect Timing! I'm hoping to pick up my EX123 tomorrow! I've messaged Bonafide twice in the past about the splash guard but haven't gotten a reply from them. I'm kind of surprised you don't use the flex wings on it. Thanks for another great video!
If you look at what I pulled out the hatch 16:38 it was a set of flex wings.. But I can tell you those were designed for the SS and RS models the Ex rides low in the water and doesn't drift out like those models do but I was going to do a video on testing if they work I'm saying you don't need them in the EX..
What color did you get??
I messaged Bonafide about the splash guard after watching this and they replied that it doesn't exist lol. Clearly they're not looking to sell it as an accessory anytime in the near future.
@@joefrederick3237 yeah sounds about right this one it’s a one off the pattern with all that’s going on I don’t see them making it anytime soon
i bought one and love it, the big trunk is great, the dog fits in it! however the dash broad is flimsy, slow to remove and easily broken. the skid plates protrude past the contour of the rear end snagging the slightest sharp bump making it a major pain to drag by the front end across gravel/rocks and especially up steps!

tem um dreno na frente, mas ainda tenho uma bomba que carrego comigo e correto, acho que esses caiaques não chegaram tão ao sul

I would like to purchase this yak, I'm just concerned in the event i flip it, i know the rear bulkhead will prevent it from sinking however...wouldn't the bow sink and just turn it into a buoy sitting vertically in the water? At that point if I'm far from shore I'm pretty much screwed?
You can add air bags to the front if that a concern which would give it way my floatation and also carry a bilge pump with you I have purposely flipped this boat on the lake and renter and empty it on the water to see if it was possible I guess I should do a video of that at some point
Wonder how this would do in a bay. I kayak in a bay near me that has slow moving currents but is kind of choppy
As long as the chop doesn’t get really high you be fine but this boat has no rocker in the ends so it gets lifted up a lot and will have water coming over but all round paddling it’s great
Hey I’m so badly looking to get that spray skirt I need it. How can I get it. Bonafide has never gotten back to me.
When I did this video, I was working at Bonafide I still help them with some contract projects time to time and this skirt was something I was really pushing for this kayak the one in this video was a prototype sample, but I think they have moved on to other projects and decided the volume of sales was just not there with this item so my advice is to try to figure out some other solutions. and yeah, Bonafide didn't like that I showed the prototype in this video 😂

Thinking of mounting a powerpole to the stern. Do u think it works? If yes. Will it affect the paddling performance?
I have not seen anyone Mount one back there yet I don’t think it would effect the paddling that much

@@jeffreyau1286 yes it’s got no rocker In the ends and the edges are very low in the water it’s extremely good on windy days because of it’s long waterline in the water

Zero rocker and edges are deep in the water I’m not saying it can’t it’s doable but o would recommend something like the Crescent CK1 or something with less edge for that
